Near Carlislegrapevine villas
Left on 06/03/2011 for a stay in April 2011
The welcome we received from Rosemary on our arrival was excellent, even though it was late in the night! There wasn't enough she and Niko could do to help us throughout the holiday in fact. The home itself was just great. Very clean and with all the essentials you would want to make our stay comfortable. The balconies arranged on all sides meant we could sit in the sun for breakfast and also for supper time, just great!
The location of the villa was just far enough out of the village to make it nice and quiet but close enough to walk to for evenings out or to grab a little shopping.
The better supermarket was a 5 min drive away but the one within walking distance was ok for essentials.
Due to the time of our visit (5th apr) a lot of the ameneties were still not open, even though the weather was great!! But of the ones that were open, the Tavernas and restaurants were excellent. No queues and very friendly service. And not too badly priced! The bars on the beach front were especially pleasant to sit at with a Frappe.
Going to grapevines in april suited us because it was very quiet and relaxing and we would certainly go at that time again, and most likely will. Perhaps a bit of solar heating for the pool would be the only thing that we would wish for to make the whole break complete for that early bird holiday.

Leeds, West YorkshireA beautiful apartment in an idyllic setting
Left on 04/08/2011 for a stay in April 2009
I spent a week in the apartment and I really can't praise it enough. It was like home from home, only much nicer of course!
The grounds are immaculate and at night it felt so peaceful with the spotlights and the floodlit pool.
I went running along the beach everyday which was an absolute joy. It is a stone throw away from the apartment and was always really quiet - a great place to go and lie around in the sun all day without being disturbed. There are also little bars and restaurants along the sea front so you can grab a drink or a snack whilst you're there.
Rosemary and Nicos looked after us and catered to our every need. They were very friendly and I felt extremely well looked after.
The welcome pack upon arrival was fantastic as all I wanted was a drink and something to eat when I arrived and it was all provided. This meant that I didn't have to worry about getting up first thing to find a shop.
The apartment was very clean and all towels are provided which meant I had more room in my suitcase! It is modern but also very homely. All the amenities are provided so you can cater for yourself with ease . One of my favourite features was the balconies which are situated on both the second and third level. I sat out and ate my breakfast everyday in the sun. There is also a private garden at the back which you can access through the patio doors in the kitchen - ideal for eating outside or having a barbecue.
I took my 90 year old grandma with me and it was ideal for her as she effectively didn't need to go upstairs as everything she needed was available on the ground floor.
If you like walking, there are some beautiful places to explore nearby. I visited some lovely places near by and the scenery is beautiful. There are also plenty of restaurants to pick from within walking distance from the apartment and shops to buy fresh food.
All in all I can highly recommend this apartment and would go back again! -

LiverpoolWhat a fantastic week we have had!
Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in July 2009
What a fantastic week we've had! The villa was everything and more with a fabulous pool and in spitting distance of the beach - what more could you want. The villa itself was beautifully clean when we arrived with everything we needed. The huge beach towels were a real bonus. The extensive welcome pack was ideal after the journey, meaning that we could get on and enjoy our holiday straight away.
Special thanks to Rosemary and Nico who looked after us from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Even the contact with Rosemary before the holiday to hire the car made everything that much easier.
With Makrigalios on the doorstep, there was plenty to do and plenty places to eat. Our favourite place to go for a drink was the Gecko bar. It was great to walk down into the village, along the beach, have a few drinks and then wander back.
Lots of lovely walks along the coastline and through some spectacular gorges. The perfect holiday, can't wait to go back.
Many thanks Wendy and Phil. We would recommend your house to anybody.
