A Birthday celebration in a perfect location

Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in February 2013

A belated Birthday celebration along with many friends which was made perfect by the lovely house, warmth at a cold time of year and friendly assistant (Dave) who showed us round and patiently explained how everything worked. There was ample supplies of gas and wood and we were able to cater for up to 17 people (some stayed in the nearby El Caseron de Bonella) without difficulty. I hope we will be able to go there again as it is such a comfortable house set in lovely grounds in a very nice area of Spain.

Fantastic place to have fun with your family

Left on 01/22/2013 for a stay in July 2012

Ok, we had the best time. We spend a fornight with extended family last summer and it was hot. We did everything that the owners suggested in their guides and visited the lakes (twice), so amazing to swim in hot lakes, not really possible in the UK! Very safe for our 5 year old who was not that confident in the water, but she loved it and pretty deserted in the week. We visited nearby towns and villages, the market at Malaga, traditional hot chocolate and doughnuts in the early hours. Picasso museum at Malaga...Our teenage girls shopped like crazy...and very reasonable, well cheap actually which was exactly how we found the prices in the local towns. And a local hairdresser too!! We ranged in age from 5 - 45. More friends flew in, it's so easy to tell everyone to get to Malaga airport and we'll pick them up. We cooked paella on the BBQ, swam at midnight and our children adored it. Best time. Plenty to do at the house, just great to read, chill and have fun with you family.

      Spanish Paradise

Left on 11/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012

From the moment we walked in to the stunning double height chapel-like main room of this beautiful house, we knew we were going to have a wonderful week.

Located on a hill in a totally unspoilt valley facing the mountains, surrounded by olive trees, this house is superbly well-appointed. We enjoyed the cool of the early mornings on the terrace, listening to the cowbells as the cattle from the farm opposite the house moved into the meadow below.

The days were spent swimming in the beautiful poool, trampolining, playing table tennis, having barbecues in 3 different locations, reading , resting and painting, walking with the toddlers to the farm. Evenings were spent watching the Olympics in a comfy TV lounge then dining on the terrace.

We were a large family party - ages 7 months to 73 - and all had the holiday of a lifetime. We felt no need to drive to other places, only strolling round Casarabonela sometimes in the mornings and one evening enjoying the local fiesta.

We would say that this is unquestionably the best holiday house we have ever rented.

Utter heaven and perfect for getting away from it all.

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We stayed at El Pueblecillo with our family and have to say had the most heavenly time! Probably one of the best holidays yet. The finca is lovely and set in the most incredible surroundings. Acres and acres of space to explore and yet not far from Casarabonela which is such a pretty very Spanish village. My lasting memory is watching the golden eagles soar above us whilst we were chilling by the pool! The accommodation is very spacious, of a very high standard with the most incredible kitchen/family room I've seen yet. Perfect for big family groups but laid out in such a way that if there are only a few of you it works well too. Spotlessly clean, really well equipped and has everything you could ever want.

We spent a lot of time playing boule and table tennis and the children had a ball bouncing on the trampoline and swimming in the beautiful pool. We also swam in the nearby lakes and went for an amazing walk up the nearby mountain. Locals were very friendly and you can get everything you need from Casarabonela. There's some lovely Spanish bars and great places to eat there too. Malaga is only 40 minutes away and well worth a visit. A beautiful city to explore - highly recommend the food market - it's huge and just a massive array of colour and Spanish chatter. We stocked up on our fresh seafood and had a delicious BBQ back at the Finca.

Can thoroughly recommend El Pueblecillo. Give it top marks. It's a very special place and have to say quite a find. We will definitely be going back again!

Space, scenery, sun, fun, a brilliant kitchen & really comfortab

Left on 06/11/2012 for a stay in June 2012

El Pueblecillo is an easy 40 minute drive from Malaga airport, and just 30 mins from a huge Carrefour offering everything you could need in one easy shop, so you have more time to enjoy at the villa! Once you're there- the scenery and spacious design of the house will make you instantly relax, and there are all the amenities a big party could want- plenty of fridge space for drinks and food, a freezer for ice-creams, microwave for baby food, chill-out room with wifi and Sky TV, plus plenty of fun board/family games and books, and that's before you've got to the lovely bedrooms and showers. The whole place is kitted out to make life comfortable and easy- outside there are two barbecues, a patio with a table-tennis table, a patio with a big table that seats at least 12, sofas, a boulle pitch, trampoline, pool-side chill out area, and of course the pool itself. We had such happy times down there, enjoying the sun, reading books, listening to music, and then jumping into the beautiful blue water every time it got a bit hot! I have been to the villa four times now, and would never hesitate for a moment to go back or recommend it to others- it's great value too!

It was my first time in andalucia and staying at El Pueblecillo made me want to return again and again. The house is wonderfully situated at the end of a long track with views across valleys of olive groves and orange trees to the hills beyond. It is well laid out and comfortable with a wonderful, huge , high-ceilinged living space, attractive garden and lovely pool. Great for teenagers. Peaceful with views that you can sit and stare at for hours!

We went two years running - that speaks volumes!

Left on 07/13/2010 for a stay in June 2009

Just imagine your own 'home from home', then add the warmth and sunshine and stunning mountian views! El pueblecillo was apparently designed as a family home, so no surprise that it proved ideal for our family holidays.
Our group comprised two families and 3 generations. We relished the quiet countryside location with its olive, orange and lemon groves. We loved the architectural style both the inside and out, and we took full advantage of the superb facilites for adults and children alike - splendid pool, BBQ, boules pitch, trampoline etc.
This is a delightful place to enjoy a relaxing holiday or an excellent base to explore one of the most beautiful regions of Spain.
After six years of hiring fincas in Spain, we have so far only made a repeat visit to one - no prize for guessing which one!

What a place to relax !

Left on 07/12/2010 for a stay in June 2010

This is the second time we have stayed here...and hopefully not the last.
Every year we rent a villa for family and friends to come out and join us for 2 or 3 weeks. We never return to a place but this villa is so special we broke our own golden rule!
Beautiful surrounding scenery just allows for a peaceful holiday where you can relax with family or friends. The place is maintained to a very high degree and you will not want for anything. You actually feel that you are staying in a home rather than a holiday-let.
Only one point that is worth mentioning is the track to the house can be a little intimidating if it has recently rained. However, the track is also what makes the house so peaceful and relaxing.
      Definitely worth considering.

Heaven on earth- the villa, surroundings, and pool are perfect!

Left on 07/12/2010 for a stay in July 2010

With a great kitchen, good local shops, wifi, sky tv, ping pong table, boules, and of course, the pool, this villa has everything you would expect and more.

Then there's the experience of actually being there, away from everything, with the gentle sounds of rural Spain and the swallows darting through the blue sky, which is pure magic- if you're thinking about it, go...

      Wonderful in every way..

Left on 07/12/2010 for a stay in April 2010

I have stayed at El Pueblecillo twice in the last year. On both occasions I was with a friend and our five teenage children. The house is fabulous and can accommodate a large group really comfortably - we could have taken twice as many people and still not felt squashed. The owners have thought of everything their guests might need - you get a real sense of their generosity when you stay there. The property sits on top of a hill with panoramic views all round - of fields, lemon groves, olive groves and mountains. The pool was a great hit with all the teenagers, as was the table tennis and the boules pitch. The village of Casarabonela is perched on the top of a neighbouring hill, a ten minute drive away. We were welcomed everywhere we went. We hope to go back again as often as possible.

Didn't want to leave - utter bliss!

Left on 07/12/2010 for a stay in April 2009

We had the most magical week, didn't want to leave. Stunning location and wonderful house so well equipped for all ages. We all switched off and felt so relaxed within an hour of being there. Our children had a ball and had so much freedom and fun exploring. So much to do in the surrounding area - particularly loved the lakes. Children loved watching the shooting stars at night and listening to the crickets. Can't recommend it highly enough. A real find!
