Honestly, I have been reluctant to review our stay becuase I don't want the secret to get out. I loved this place. I felt like it was my own private house on the beach, a little dream come true. Only twice did I hear a voice message from an incoming call inquiring about renting that I was snapped out it and remembered I'm just on vacation. But, oh what a vacation it was. The house itself was clean, not too sleek on the inside so you felt comforatble and had all emenities (except the kayak was broken when we got there) :( But it had a great grill with gas line, comfortable bed, great kitchen and dining space indoor and out, and breath taking views. If you really want to relax, it's a great place to do it. Dolphins in the morning, diving pelicans during the day and the moon juts smacks you in the face at night. Please, if you rent it, respect it because I'll be back. Thanks

Among many other good things about this rental is its owner. He is a highly refined human being with great taste for art and beauty, which reflects well on the whole experience. The house has magnificent view of Santa Monica necklace and a nice, private secluded beach. It is spacious, clean and well-maintained ,and comes with a seasoned maid that knows it well and is helpful in all the details. The owner's high ethics and willingness to assist and getting out of his way to help made our vacation a pure pleasure..perfect in every way.

if you want state of the art comfort and beach front with the convince to be close to bh's this is the place for you.
this is truly a home that you can just bring your person gear and a tooth brush. it has everything you need and then some.
the value is great.
you would be lucky to spend so time at this wonderful home that does not feel like a rental at all. it feels like home.

I've stayed in all kinds of 5-star hotels, beach resorts, and luxury rentals but I wouldn't compare any of these to my experience in this house...
To start with, during my entire stay I really felt like I had my own private beach... Except for the occasional dolphin, the beach is surprisingly spared by visitors, even for idyllic strolls at sunset.
The house itself is exquisitely and subtly decorated and although it's certainly luxurious, it's also very livable, with plenty of cozy nooks where you can curl up with a book and forget about the world. Not to mention a jacuzzi with a gorgeous view and a grand piano...
Its perfect for a creative person who craves tranquility and is easily inspired by natural beauty. The sky, the ocean and the mountains (which are also hiker-friendly) surround this unassuming pearl of peace and comfort.
...And if it's ever too peaceful, it's brilliant for entertaining as well. The outside deck makes a breathtakingly beautiful setting for breakfast or lunch and the dining room can easily fit 14 people.
As far as the location, it's approximately a 5-minute drive from Malibu Village and 10 minutes from Santa Monica, both rich sources of restaurants, cafes & shops.
The other wonderful thing about this place is that it's equally perfect for a couple, a family or just one. -

From top to bottom this is by far my favorite rental house. The owner and the housekeeper took great care of us, and every detail of the house is dialed in for you. The house is very spacious and is perfect for entertaining. The Kitchen opens to the living room where you are greeted by stunning ocean views. Glass doors open to a large patio where we would have breakfast, lounge and take a soak in the fabulous outdoor jacuzzi, all overlooking the ocean. I spent many sunny afternoons lounging in the outdoor bed on the top floor, which is very private, serene and romantic. The Master bedroom is very spacious, comfortable and is on the top floor. The guest bedrooms are downstairs with en suite bathrooms. The house is close to the Malibu shops and restaurants, and also many fantastic hikes. Since it is only a few miles away from Sunset on Pacific Coast Highway, you can easily and quickly drive to Beverly Hills. Overall the house, location and setting are pure Malibu bliss.
