Additional Location Information
"The TREEHOUSE" condo is the finest luxury found in the Village at Mammoth. Location is key. And this condo is only steps from the Gondola and all the amenities here in Mammoth Village, including the Mountain Center for your sporting needs, restaurants, shops, Starbucks, etc.
About Mammoth:
There's no limit to the exhilarating experiences and adventures you can have in Mammoth – fish in our many lakes and streams, tee it up at California's highest golf courses, hike in the backcountry and celebrate in the mountains.
Winter
Winters in Mammoth Lakes are famous for huge snow packs. Recently over 600 inches have fallen in one season. Mammoth offers more days on the hill than any resort in California. 350 skiable acres. 3,100 ft. vertical drop. 150 trails. 29 lifts.
In addition to the exceptional skiing and snowboarding you will find miles of trails for snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, all with magnificent views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains!
Summer
Summer, Mammoth’s “other” season, brings even more opportunity for recreation: Golf, hiking, horseback riding or just soaking in the sun. For the avid mountain biker, Mammoth Mountain Bike Park offers some of the most diverse and challenging terrain around. The Eastern Sierra is also world famous for trout fishing.
Many other events are held throughout the summer; Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee, Bluesapalooza and Festival of Beers, arts and crafts festivals, Fourth of July parade and fireworks, Fireman’s Picnic, just to name a few.
• Fishing
Beginner to expert anglers can fish for trout at more than 400 lakes and 1,100 miles of streams in the Inyo National Forest area. Numerous derbies are held during the Summer.
• Hiking
Over thirty trail heads provide access to the 1,303,477 acres of wilderness backcountry for hikers seeking to escape into primitive and pristine areas. Trails of easy, moderate and strenuous ability lead to Alpine lakes and creeks, the John Muir Trail and the Ansel Adams Wilderness.
o Devil's Postpile National Monument is located in Red's Meadow. The columns of basalt were formed approx. 900,000 years ago when a lava flow slowed and began to cool and crack. Temperatures deep within the lava bed were uniform enough to produce six-sided columnar joints, 40 to 60 feet high resembling a giant pipe organ, polished to a shine by later glacial action.
o Rainbow Falls is located downstream from the Devil's Postpile. The headwaters of the San Joaquin River flows over an abrupt 101-foot drop, sending rainbows of color into the midst. Truly a sight that is breathtaking short hike.
• Golf
The Sierra Star Golf Course is a championship 18-hole, par 71 layout nestled within a shelter of Jeffrey Pines and White Fir, where each hole offers its own spectacular view. Tree-lined fairways, well-trapped greens, and numerous lakes and ponds make this course another challenging golf experience for the low handicap golfer, and also very enjoyable for the occasional recreational player.
Snowcreek Golf Course, is nestled alongside the majestic Sherwin mountain range, the course provides spectacular, scenic enjoyment for players of every level. Snowcreek is noted for its elevated greens, multiple bunkers, and extensive use of tranquil lakes and streams. Snowcreek Golf Club offers a driving range, and putting green.

Irvine, CaParadise in the snow!
Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in January 2011
Aside from the location being the most amazing... steps to gondola, fine dining, cafes, shops, the interior is impeccably put together! Very spacious, but cozy, allowing us to feel right at home, but in the paradise of winter bliss. We loved the amenities of the indoor pool and jacuzzi, and took time to relax in our own jacuzzi bathtub, while a fire warmed our bedroom. Bring your family and friends and enjoy as we did (sleeps up to twelve!) and make amazing memories.

We stayed at the village treehouse for 7 days and it was such an amazing and relaxing experience. The condo is spacious and extremely clean and upgraded. The beds were very comfortable and having 4 bathrooms was a huge plus. The kitchen was stocked with spices and plenty of dishes and pots. The fireplace was cozy and there was so much wood we barely put a dent in the pile! The convenient location was probably the biggest highlight. A 1 minute walk to the Village Gondola and a 5 minute ride to Canyon Lodge!!! Truly a remarkable vacation home. Highly recommended! Would love to return possibly next season! Thank you so much for sharing you place with us!

Coral Springs, FLGreat Vacation Find in Mammoth
Left on 07/25/2010 for a stay in September 2009
Great find! Lots of nicely designed, efficiently used space. High quality, attractive furnishings and fixtures. Lots of thoughtful details like timed auxiliary heat lamps in bathrooms (when coming in from cold), and great firewood stacks on porches. Well designed and stocked for cooking. David, the owner, is gracious and attentive to detail without being intrusive. Maintenance available 24/7 with incredible response time if needed. Short walk to Village ski lift and shop. Couldn't have enjoyed it more!

San Francisco, CAPerfect Location - Wonderful Upgrades
Left on 07/14/2010 for a stay in April 2008
This condo was perfect for our 14th annual family snow vacation. Dave was very accomodating and responsive. We rented 2 condos at the Fireside, this one and another on the same floor. Without question, Dave's condo was superior in all respects. The significant upgrades set this condo apart. And, the location was perfect -- just steps from the Gondola & the village. We highly recommend this condo and will definitely be back.
