Description from the manager

This large two bedroom with a loft and 3 baths can handle up to 10 people. It Is located a stones throw from Canyon Lodge and the lifts, with dining nearby. With shuttle access just out your front door the entire town of Mammoth is easily accessed . The unit boasts a large dinning room that will fit the entire family for dinner and two large den seating areas that allow one group to be watching T.V while the other group relaxes by the fireplace. The two bedrooms downstairs come complete with Queen beds and private baths.

      You get what you pay for

      The condo is spacious and cheap, but the savings are not worth feeling gross all weekend. The carpets don't feel clean, and the master bedroom was very smelly. I woke up in the middle of the night twice because of a foul smell and realized it was the duvet cover that was releasing odors when we moved around. Disgusting.

      The property was nice and close to Canyon lodge. It could use some minor paint job. The only drawback is the communication with the management. I tried call and left messages few times, and they are not too responsive with replying email either. I told them to call me for the check in instruction (the lockbox code), since i will be on the road few days prior to and don't have access to my email. There was no single phone call. Thanks for the smart phone, I was able to log in to my email. There was 1 email on the day of the check in. Maybe they know what they doing, but this is the first time i ever did a rental property instead of hotel. I was worry that i could not get a hold of anyone if there is problem finding the property or can't get in.

      The condo was great!! The reservations, check-in and out were very easy. We liked the location as it is within walking distance to Canyon lodge. There is also a bar/restaurant across the street.

      I definitely enjoyed our stay at D62. It was a nice place with a perfect location. My only complaint is that I could not get a hold of the Stay-in-mammoth staff when I needed to ask an important question.

      Spacious, clean, and close to the lifts!

      Chamonix is amazing. It is spacious enough for 8 people and has all the amenities a family would need to a nice trip to Mammoth. The kitchen is completely stocked with pots/pans and shovels are even provided if you need to dig your car out of the snow. I would definitely stay here again!

      Dirty when I arrived.

      I arrived to the unit at around 5pm and the unit was still dirty. Check-in was 3pm. The cleaning staff arrived around 5:30pm and it took them about an hour to clean the unit. So instead of resting after my 4 hour drive to Mammoth. My family and I had to sit in the living room while the cleaning staff quickly cleaned the unit. The Unit was a good size for the 10 people in my group to be comfortable but to arrive to a dirty unit was unacceptable.

      We got the "fishermans deal" for Father's day giving us a great rate on this nice condo. Generally it was clean and comfortable for an older condo. Its not deluxe, but kept up pretty well. It had a super living space with 2 large areas to relax (one for TV, one for the fireplace). Having 3 bathrooms made it great for the 5 of us. The two drawbacks to this condo were there were alot of stairs (3 stories)and the kitchen was designed to be disfunctionally tiny; but not a huge deal unless one is planning a large feast. The recreation center was very nice with a pool table and large kitchen and lounge, making it a fun place to hang out.

      The location is ideal and really only steps away from Canyon Lodge and austria Hof, which had a great spiced wine happy hour. The dining area was the most inviting part of the condo and was where we spent most of our time together as a group. The kitchen layout is a bit awkward, though with a cramped L-shaped pathway. We had to limit our cooking endeavors. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms had ample space.

      We had a medium-sized group (7 ppl) in the place and it was incredible. Amazing location, tons of space--we could have done twice as many people comfortably. It's a quick walk up to the lifts and an even quicker return trip (downhill on the way home). Overall, we were very pleased.

      condo was spacious, clean and comfotable.There were 3 in our party so we all had our own bedroom and bathroom, a luxury enjoyed by all. condo can sleep up to 10. We flew into Mammoth so needed a condo close to lifts and transport, Chamonix #62 was very convenient to both of these needs.
