Left on 06/05/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We spent 3 nights in early May. It was delightful, a great location and very efficient. The view from the small terrace is lovely. The apartment is nicely laid out and has all of the amenities you need. Manarola is delightful and it is easy to cruise to the other towns or take the train. A very sweet spot. Arbaspaa was great to work with and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was meeting up with some friends who were staying at another apartment. I liked this apartment. Can sleep 3 people comfortably. Was spacious enough and very good value for money. It doesn't have a spectacular view of the sea, but then again it was close to the main town square.

The property was ideally located halfway down the village with good privacy. The agency was very convenient being placed almost at the entrance to the tunnel to the station. Restaurants, walk-ways, the water and the Ferry were very close. The stairs were easily negotiated.

Apart from the rather detached attitude of the person at reception we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manarola. The appartment suited our needs, was clean and well placed. Transport to the surrounding attractions was excellent, even the mid week storm was a spectacle.A little staff training at charm school would have earned another star.

Our apartment was in a great spot, right in Manarola, up a few steps and overlooking the village. All amenities were great - good bathroom, great kitchen, lots of space for only a one bedroom apartment. Would recommend it to anyone. Arbaspaa were very helpful when arriving and when we wanted to book other trips through them. Would definitely recommend anyone to book through them and stay in Manarola. Thanks again!! :)

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed for 4 nights in appartamento Porticciolo and it was perfect. Elena at arbaspaa was lovely and walked us to the apartment to check in. Everything was clean, cool and compact.
One of the best things about the apartment was the location, although there isn't much of a sea view, this is more than made up for by the 5 minute proximity to the sea and all the beautiful swimming holes. This was especially good, as when visitng the 5 Terre you'll be climbing lots of hills and steps and it's great to be able to pop down for a morning swim without having to hike back home!
Manrola was our favourite of the 5 Terre, less busy, great food and lovely atmosphere and the apartment is definitely highly recommended. -

palermoottima posizione, ma tanta, tanta, tanta umiditÃ
Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012

San Francisco, CaliforniaComfortable apartment, excellent location
Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful week long stay here in Manarola. The apt is comfortable and well equipped, and managed professionally by airbaspaa. Excellent location, near the main street, but isolated from street noise. Our favorite places to stay are those that feel part of the life of the town, but also offer privacy and quiet at night. This apartment met both of those expectations beautifully.
The balcony was a huge plus for us: nice view of the hillside, but also of the sea itself. We spent many relaxing hours reading, writing, sharing meals, coffee, and drinks on the balcony, staring out at Manarola. The apt furnishings are unfancy, but comfortable. The kitchen is very convenient (as are the 2 well stocked grocery stores in town). If you are travelling during the summer, it is worth noting that the apt stays blessedly cool, even on the hottest of summer days (esp in the evenings).
The only caveat I’d offer is that the bed is less than ideal. I’m sorry to say that we found it rather uncomfortable, and this might be an issue esp for those with back problems. Other than that, this made for a lovely retreat in Manarola (our favorite of the 5 Terre towns). -

Service from letting agent on site was friendly, efficient and very helpful. The apartment was comfortable and perfectly adequate as advertised and an excellent location. The verandah provided a pleasant outlook of the hills behind as well as some sea views and would be great in summer when it is warmer.
Although not a criticism, we would have appreciated a microwave oven.
Overall a memorable experience and we would recommend it to our friends. -

Left on 10/13/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Stayed in this appartment for 3 nights. Location was good, very quiet and yet not far from the center of the village of Manarola. Appartment was good for 2 people - kitchen had all the amenities we needed; however, bed was not comfortable (2 beds pushed together) and no a/c. Little table and 2 chairs to sit outside on landing - no view of ocean unless you stand up but view of vineyards on the mountain and houses of all colors made up for it. Had to pay cash upon check-in (90 Euros per night) and no additional fee for cleaning. A few good restaurants and a small grocery store in the village - try Billy's for the Italian experience. All in all, the appartment was good as we were only there to sleep.

Our stay in Manarola was fabulous. The people from arbaspaa were responsive from the moment we made our reservation to the moment we arrived in Manarola and right through our stay. Our apartment was spotlessly clean, and well stocked with towels, utensils, plates, cups, etc. I would definitely use arbaspaa again for my next trip to the area. Everyone we dealt with-mostly Elisa and Heidi, were sweet, pleasant, and very helpful. Arbaspaa is a very professional and well run company and I highly recommend them.

Boston, MAA Special Little apartment in a Wonderful Village
Left on 09/24/2011 for a stay in September 2011
It took us so long to decide where we should spend our four nights in the Cinque Terre that we were left with extremely limited options. Well, lucky for us it all worked out quite nicely--we loved our stay in the appartamento Porticciolo. The pictures represent the studio apartment perfectly. We never used the kitchen, but enjoyed early mornings and evenings on the small terrace. It was so nice to look at the hillside or enjoy the glimpse of the ocean (and hearing the loud splash as people jumped off the cliff in the marina). At night we left the window open so we could hear the crash of the waves--the only other sounds were the voices of an occasional passerby. Lovely, quiet spot. And anna from arbaspaa was great, even lending us her umbrella during our one day of rain as we waited out the train strike and found ourselves "stranded" in Manarola. Should also mention we ate at Billy's two of the nights--we even had the same table and our waitress remembered our orders from the previous night. Loved everything about our four-turned-five nights in Manarola!

On arriving we were tired & the agent wasn't obvious. So when you come out of the train tunnel you need to turn right up the hill. The agent is up a small stairs on your left above a shop. Look up to see the name on the balcony. This is one of the appartments with not too many steps luckily & these seemed like a lot when you are carrying luggage. The position is great as it is so close to everything shops restaurants, ferry , sea & walks. Wi-Fi also very close and free in a take away cafe just buy smoething small to eat. The accomadation was small but had everything. The view from the balcony could have been better but then we would have been up more steps. Can't have everything.

cute studio with a small patio good for breakfast or drinks. located about 5 min walk from train station, up the hill. Not ocean view, but pretty good view of town. Bed was made of what looked like temporary mattresses but wasn't too bad. very small shower. Fully functional kitchen.

Good location - shops & restaurants as you get down the steps from the apartment. Only about 35 steps to climb, so don't overpack. Some water views from the corner of the balcony. Mattress & pillows a bit uncomfortable but you can get by. Cooking facilities available & a decent fridge. We did enjoy our stay but I think 3 nights is quite sufficient. Arbaspaa was very easy to deal with - very prompt emails & very helpful, can't say the same for the train timetables!!!around Cinque Terre. The day we arrived at Manarola, there was a train strike - there was no sign posted at La Spezia Centrale. The cab fare from La Spezia to Manarola was 40Euros.

Positives:
1. Comfortable Bed
2. Large enough for 2 adults and a baby.
3. Couch and TV were great to have.
4. Kitchen was fully equipped and great to have for Baby.
5. Location is awesome, walking distance to the train station (10 minutes or less walk) and about 5 minutes or less to the water - very walkable.
6. Agency staff were awesome and professional - I hurt my back, and one of the girls that helped us check out carried our bag for us, while my wife was carrying our baby - thank you so much.
7. It was much cheaper than hotels - 80 Euros per night.
Negatives:
1. Hot water in the shower is limited to one person- i.e., we can not take long hot showers like we do in the us! But we managed to take short showers, and it was perfect (which is how it should be to conserve water and bee green).
Overall, I would stay there again. -

This quiet little vacation apartment is perfect for two people, but could work for three. The location is just a few stair cases up from the main pedestrian street and is close to everything in this tiny little town. The kitchen is fully stocked with the essentials and the shops on the street provide whatever you may need - food and drink to cook-in and great restaurants to eat out at. Be sure to soak in the sunset on the porch/balcony at least once and explore the trails through the hills, vineyards, and gardens. Overall, a great place to stay and will definitely consider staying with arbaspaa again!

I was met by Martina who spoke very good English and helped me with my bags.
The place was absolutely spotless, the kitchen well equipped, with a nice big fridge and we loved the little table outside, where we ate breakfast and dinner with beautiful views over Manarola.
It's off the main drag in Manarola, so easy to get to shops and restaurants, it's a great place to stay if you want to be right in the centre of the Cinque Terre.

Left on 08/04/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The apartment was very well situated, near the port, and with nice view. The main advantage was that the apartment was shaded all day long, so it was cool during the very hot season we we in, and could escape the heat of the day and didn't need air-conditioning (that the apartment doesn't have)
On the other hand, we were staying for a long period and were surprised it was not serviced even once. It is a closed underground place so there was a slight smell of dampness. -

What a trip. The apartment was perfect. Clean, spacious and exactly what we
needed. I almost wished we could have done more with it because the kitchen
was complete with all trimmings. The owner, who settled us in on a Sunday
after delays getting there, was a sweetheart.
The views are breathtaking. We almost ended up in Corneglia. So glad that
didn't happen. Manarola is my favorite home base of all the towns.
Arbaspaa is the way to go when doing Cinque Terre. They were completely
accommodating, helping us make all the connections and providing great leads
on all that there is to do. I will contact them again if we return to this gem of a
region. Thanks Arbaspaa and thanks Anna Maria. We will never forget you!

Cinque Terre is unique; Manarola is the jewel. We husband and wife) had a blast there, met so many neat folks, fine food, some great music and dancing in the streets. Manarola is compact, and it's easy to get to the other towns. The water is so nice, but beware of the rocky beaches. The apartment is pretty basic--no refinements--but it has all you need and the location could not be better. Price is reasonable, people helpful. Go, go, go.
