Colorado Springs, COWe loved our stay here in Manarola
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My daughter and I spent 4 nights in Manarola in these apartments. The rooms are nicely located in town and Gualtiero was extremely helpful and made us feel right at home. The view from the room and balcony was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Fyi If you are driving, use the directions sent to you and do not rely on your GPS, as it may take you to back roads that are closed due to previous damage from the mudslides. Think single-lane, rutted dirt roads with hairpin turns and dangerous drop offs! The view made it worth it, but holy cow... -

Manarola is an amazing village like no other I have been to and in the middle of the Cinque Terre. Our apartment Limoncino was exactly like the the photos and felt like a home way from home. Centally located in the village all the shops and restaurants are easy to get to. The locals and our host Nicoletta made our stay very enjoyable and we hope to be able to visit with them again to enjoy the beautiful location and the famous Italian Hospitality.

The apartment was a in a perfect location for what my mom and I were looking for. Emanuela and her son met us at the train station and assisted us with our luggage up all the steps. There were 3 balconies that we had all to ourselves that we thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset each day from. The apartment was cozy and well stocked with coffee, a much needed staple. Would love to return in high season!

Really lovely apartment in the village of Manarola. Everything was clean, it was well equipped and nice modern decor. The apartment we stated in was the one in the street, close to the station, and although it didn't have the views, it was very convenient after a long day out walking/sightseeing. After lots of research on which village to stay in, I'm glad we chose Manarola in the end, as it was friendly and picturesque, and had nice places to eat and drink in.

We stayed in Camera Maria, which is located right in front of the waterfront and steps away from a number of great restaurants. We were unlucky to find that a landslide and bad weather had closed the walking paths, but it was compensated for by the fact that we could watch the wild ocean crashing against the cliffs. It's a simple room, but clean and comfortable. Also, the owners are just nearby and very helpful. No cooking facilities, but with all those restaurants in view of the fantastic balcony, who needs that? Loved it!

Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This accommodation has been recently completely renovated very nicely to modern standards, was spotlessly clean, right across from tunnel to train station so minimum distance to tote luggage.
There was no view (only courtyard looking at nearby stone wall) but after a day of hiking and enjoying all Cinque Terre has to offer this was a great place to step away from the crowd and get a little rest.
Note Breakfast only available at next door restaurant after 0800 hrs. (otherwise make your own)
The location in heart of Cinque Terre worked well for us as a base but we were sorry to miss the chance to walk some of the trails due to avalanche closures.
As with all of Cinque Terre, it is not a place for people who have challenges with stairs. -

Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaGreat view, great apartment
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This place was fabulous! There were only 2 things that I could possibly complain about: the walk to get there, and the hardness of the beds.
The walk to get there: yes, it was a very long, uphill walk to get from the train station to the apartment. However, because of that, once we got there, being at the top of the hill, the view was so unbelievably fantastic that it was definitely worth the walk! I did notice a few green vehicles that might have been shuttles, so maybe there's a way of getting a ride to the top. (I didn't investigate that.) Once up at the apartment, one of our favorite restaurants on our trip, Dal Billy, was right across the path, so we did enjoy an evening of a great dinner without having a challenging walk back to the apartment. Fortunately the building has an elevator so once we got in the front door we didn't have to climb steps.
All I can say about the bed is that it was harder than what I am used to, especially in hotels in the U.S.
The apartment was gorgeous, everything looked brand new, all new slick furniture (beautiful white leather couch!), not a spot on anythig. Beautiful bathroom with a glass mosaic tile wall in the shower. I wasn't thrilled with the hairdryer, but I felt the same way about the hairdryers everywhere else I went in Italy and Spain. -

The apartment was very high up and had a fantastic view. We spent a great deal of time, breakfast and evenings there admiring the sunset. Because it was so high up, we had to climb the mount every day (40 degrees heat), but it was worth it. The apartment was newly renovated and truly spotless.

Incredible view of the town and the Sea, Very good Wifi, across from Billys to eat, in the town we would prefer to come back to. A healthy walk up the hill to get there. We got help with luggage on arrival from the rental office. Only negative the bed felt like it was a box spring only. We stayed in the Sciacchetra apt three nights and the Vermentino apt one night due to a schedule conflict. I slightly prefer the Sciacchetra for the better view but the Vermentino has a fantastic patio and a very good view also.
I would reccomend anyone staying in this region stay here. -

We stayed here in May and a wonderful experience! The family that owns this place are delightful people, very helpful, and multi-generation residents of Manarola! The location is fantastic with a balcony that overlooks the harbor and the sea! The Owners have renovated this stone structure with very nice fixtures and furnishings! If we return to Manorola, this is absolutely where we would stay!

Hardly any stairs for this area!! Room and bathroom were very clean. Bed comfortable. The people we rented from were very helpful. The town is lovely. Great Place. We loved it!

We have spent 3 nights in the double beds room. The view from the spacious balcony is always the highlight. You can even enjoy the starry night when the weather is good. Host is also very nice and friendly. Also, I found the noise made by collecting the glass bottle didn't exists, so don't worry about it. One thing should be considered is that you have to take couple of steps to get to the room but if you request, the host is very willing to help.

Cinque Terra has been a long awaited destination and we spent much time on Trip advisor looking for the right accomodation. Manarolavistamare owner Nicoletta aswered all our queries promptly and offered advice accordingly. We chose the newly renovated "Vermentinore" appartment and upon arrival we were not disappointed. After a long train journey and a walk/climb past the church to the appartment , we were pleased and surprised to see the building had a lift. The appartment was very spacious with a fully equiped kitchen, dining and sitting area, plus the bedroom area was seperated by a glass partition. The bathroom was beautifully tiled and equipped; but the fantastic outdoor two tiered terrace with an outside shower with hot and cold water, dining table, two deck lounges and great views of the vineyards and stunning sunsets over the water; was the perfect place to relax with a glass of good Italian wine at the end of a perfect day. While the appartment was not right on the bay as some may think from the promo photos; we can highly recommend this appartment; after all it is only a short walk up the hill and you can enjoy beautiful views as you go; as well there is a great restaurant - Billy's - just a few steps from the front door; be warned, you must make a reservation as it is very popular. Another recommendation is not to rush your trip to this beautiful area, we spent four nights in Manarola and could easily have spent longer ; Cinque Terra is definately on our list of places to return to.

Camera Maria is a small, but clean, comfortable, and charming room. The view from the balcony can't be beat. The average day should consist of cappuccino and pastry on the balcony, a hike to a neighboring town, lunch, hike back, gelato, swim, back to the balcony for wine, dinner, and back to the balcony. Fall asleep listening to the waves crash on the rocks below. Magnifico! The owners are lovely people as well.

Mu husband and I stayed at Limoncino apartment with my brother and his wife for 3 nights in april. The apartment is newly renovated and very comfortable. There is a double bedroom upstairs and the bathroom and a comfortable sofa bed in the living area downstairs that was OK for a few days. The apartment was easy to get to, no steps to climb and close to restaurants, shops and the station. Nicoletta was delightful and the staff at arbaspaa were very helpful. The only disadvantage to having no steps is also no view. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Manarola.

We spent our last few days in Europe at appartamento Limoncino and it was a memorable stay afterall. We get to meet our nice and friendly owner (by the way her name is Nicoletta). She was very helpful and trust me she was a very lovely and wise lady. Even though she couldn't communicate well in English fluently but she had her own way to make your stay comfortably and warmly like your own family/house. We'd definitely visit Manarola again. Take care Sweety! We miss you.

Room Maria has a wonderful view on the harbour and the lovely village of Manarola.
It is small and cosy but spacious enough for two.
The balcony is quite large and you can sit down and enjoy your time. Bring warm clothes with you in april (! because it is really nice to sit outside, drink some wine and enjoy the sound of the waves, even if the weather is not so warm.
Really nice owner - he came to the parking lot (we phoned, when we arrived, 3 minutes later we were let to our appartment.Parking facilities are great, if you come by car, ask for the parking box.(additional fee) -

We stayed in the Sciacchetrà apartment. It was basically one very spacious modern room which had a comfortable large bed and kitchen facilities, as well as a living room area. It was meticulously clean and recently renovated. The bathroom was also very modern, clean and a good size. The Sciacchetrà has a little lovely balcony for two with an outstanding view. If you like the outdoors and want an amazing balcony, I would suggest the Vermentino. Our friends stayed in this apartment. A tiny bit smaller but a balcony to die for! The view was almost as nice as in the Sciacchetrà .

We overnighted in the Limoncino apartment which was perfectly situated for respite in this very busy village. Four star finish, new, quiet, and very handy walk to the train, the local shop & the Via dell' Amore. Nicoletta was a warm obliging hostess and even provided a small gift of the local 'grappa' on farewell. Our only regret was that we had not chosen to stay longer.

From the moment my daughter and I arrived at our apartment, we were met by a friendly "Ciao" by Nicoletta, the owner. She showed us around the two storey self-contained apartment, which was extremely clean and well-presented. She seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we enjoyed our stay by providing us with all relevant information on the Cinque terre walks, restaurants etc. She even invited me into her home to sample her home-made wine. We had a lovely three nights here. Even though we didn't have a view of the sea, this really isnt a problem as there are many of other places in the village to sit and take in the views of this area. The apartment was very conveniently located to the train station, supermarket, etc. - given how steep the hills are around these parts, I was glad we didn't have to drag our suitcases up the hill!

DeLand, FloridaElegantly designed, spotlessly clean apartment
Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed in Manarola Vista Mare's Limoncino apartment in early June, 2011. It does not have the sea views of the apartment featured here, but it is a wonderful little apartment on a charming byway off the main street of Manarola.
Limoncino has obviously been remodeled recently, and its elegant, minimal design is both comfortable and functional. It is spotlessly clean, and features a fully stocked kitchen and sitting room on the ground floor and a very spacious bed and bath on the upper floor. The apartment is only steps away from shops and restaurants, but still feels private. During the day, you can hear a murmur of people on the streets but at night it is quiet.
Limoncino is located only about 200 yards from the bottom of town, so it does not have views. However, we were leg weary and very glad not to have to climb to the top of town every time we wanted to go "home."
Perhaps the best thing about the apartment was Nicloetta, who was deightful to talk to, just the kind of person you hope to meet on your travels. We would definitely return to Manarola, and to Limoncino, if we make another trip to Italy. -

Totalmente recomendable!
