The Mangaia Villas are the perfect Pacific relaxing atmosphere in the ideal setting with all the comforts that you can expect. The ability to lie in bed and watch the sea is magic. The service we received was beyond our expectations including the island tour that was provided. Fresh fruit each morning was superb. The least thing we liked was that our stay was too short and another few days would have been fantastic.

What spacious casual elegance! We sat on the deck and to our delight not only watched whales on each day of our stay, but were even close enough to hear their tails twacking on the water! We sampled the best of local food by ordering dinner, which is brought right to your room. We enjoyed a feast of local rukau, taro, freshly caught fish and other delicacies. There was plenty to see and do, the staff were really helpful and friendly - the place was 100% relaxation and rejuvenation. Magnificent!

Rarotonga, Cook IslandsStay in Discreet Comfort and Style

I would rate this as a five star property
As a long_time resident in the Cook Islands, I have travelled to the outer islands on many occasions.
Mangaia has always been a personal favourite _ a large island with an extensive network of roads and tracks that allow you to range freely just about everywhere, diverse scenery and almost unique in the Pacific in that its age is revealed in fascinating limestone geological features _ cliffs, caves, huge fields of coral pinnacles and boulders etc. The island's people also have an interesting history. The island, these days, is a very quiet, peaceful place _ ideal for a getaway from the Big Smoke of Rarotonga, with a dynamic that is worlds away from the glitzy glamour of Aitutaki. It's a great place, too, to get away from all the tourists!
With the arrival of Mangaia Villas on the island has come an opportunity to stay on Mangaia in peaceful and tranquil surroundings in seafront units that are built and furnished to the highest of standards to be found in this country. Our villa was spacious, very well appointed, and discreetly serviced in a way that, frankly, I had not expected and left both my wife and I very pleasantly surprised. The whole experience was just brilliant.
If you are travelling to the Cook Islands, want to experience an outer island other than Aitutaki, and stay in discreet comfort and style, then, my wife and I think this property is in a class of its own.
So.... treat yourself to some outer islands luxury _ we will definitely be returning here!

Mr Arnold and his wife stayed with us last year as a surprise present for his wife's birthday. We are extremely flattered by Mr Arnold's comments and look forward to having them visit us again.

Waking up in the morning and the first thing you see and hear is the ocean is so relaxing and fresh, you feel like you are in another world with no one to disturb you. The fresh fruit provided with breakfast is delicious. And the bathrooms are unexpectedly quite modern for a place so far from most things modern. Also the hot water supply is great!

The villas are situated on the island of Mangaia, the southernmost of the Cook Islands. The surroundings are peaceful, the villas are luxurious, the environment is beautiful, sunset is glamourous, and the hospitality is excellent. The people of Mangaia are so friendly. I recommend the Mangaia Villas is the place to stay when visiting the island. Top class accommodation for sure!
