Wayne, PAGet into the best "New York state of mind" fast!
Left on 11/14/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This apartment was just perfect for a group of us gathering to celebrate a milestone occasion. It offers all the amenities you expect from an upscale hotel room (including fluffy towels & lovely toiletries) and so much more, most importantly, plenty of room to move. The team at Herrick Guest Suites were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and provided great suggestions to ensure we had a fabulous time.
Our group ranged from regular visitors to NYC to never before, therefore the location and amenities suited everyone going their own way /in different directions during the day as well as provided the ideal setting to relax, debrief, share experiences and plan for the evening. The expansive light-filled space, comfortable furniture and captivating view were all conducive to planning a day out or staying 'home'. The kitchen, internet connection and entertainment devices were not utilized to their full potential but it was comforting to know they were there and in good order if we needed them...
The apartment is close to everything including a subway stop and it's also very easy to hail a cab from the front of the building (in our experience at any time of the day) to any Uptown destination! However if you feel like walking it's close to the Hudson river trail; the Meatpacking district with all the restaurants & bars and the Highline walk; Bleeker St (Deli's, restaurants, Magnolia Bakery!); shops & more restaurants - Tribeca, SoHo, NoLita and the best coffee spots NYC has to offer (for the true coffee snob). I can't imagine a better location or a nicer apartment to share a special experience with friends/family.
