Houston, TexasPerfect location for my Family's Vacation to New York at Christm
Left on 12/19/2012 for a stay in December 2012
This was my first experience with a vacation rental and I was not disappointed! Noreen made the rental process easy. We exchanged many emails before I completed my lease agreement. She very happily answered all of my questions. My family, which consisted of myself, both my parents and my 23 yr old daughter and 22 month old daughter had begun our vacation 12/4/12 flying from Houston to Boston and enjoying a drive from Boston up the coast to Portland, Maine then back to Boston to catch our flight to New York. When we arrived at the apartment Noreen was there waiting on us. She assisted us with our bags up the stairs. They are quite narrow and steep. She showed us the place and instructed us on the nearest subway and answered all of our questions. We were off to explore this wonderful city!
The apartment was just as described and shown in the photographs. It was wonderful to have a homelike environment to come back to at the end of our long days exploring. The washer and dryer were convenient to have for our laundry. Espcially since we were continuing on to Washington DC after our time in NY. While we did not cook there it was nice to have the full size refridgerator for the baby's milk and fruit, snacks and such. There is a wonderful little market around the corner that we bought drinks, sandwich meats, fruits, and bagels from. We typically ate light in the morning at the apartment and had our other meals out. Often times we were so busy that we only ate dinner! This apartment was spacious enough to accomodate us as 4 adults and a toddler easily. She had a blow up mattress ready for my oldest daughter to use and my parents took the master bed while the baby and I took the couch with folds down like a futon. It was quite comfortable. There were plently of pillows, linens and blankets that were all of very good quality.
All in all the location was perfect. Close to a subway stop where we used the N or R train to get to Times Square and everywhere else we wanted to go, close to a market and pubs, eateries etc. It was a quiet residential street. No traffic noise. And only about 2 1/2 blocks from Madison Square Park.
Being from Texas we don't have to run our Heaters very often so the Heating system in this building seemed quite warm to us. Turning down the radiators didn't really help much so we just opened the window in the living room and that worked fine. We never ran out of hot water for showers either. Internet WiFi was a plus for us although a printer would have been helpful.
My only caution to point out would be lack of an elevator. While it was not a problem for me it was a little hard for my parents. They didn't complain and they were troopers about it but if I took my parents to NY again I would probably want an elevator or something on a ground floor. But for myself and my daughters we loved this place and would stay again for sure!
It was a great experience for my family's first trip to New York. The apartment was great and so was Noreen! My oldest daughter and I are already talking about returning. When we do we hope that Noreen has availability for us!
Thank you Noreen for helping to make this Holiday wonderful for my family!
Sincerely

Left on 01/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My daughter and friend and 1 year-old grandson and I were very comfortable in the apartment. The owner, Taunya was extremely helpful on the phone and the local property manager, Coletta, efficiently met us there with all the information we needed. The apartment is in a really fun and safe neighborhood - Little Italy - with great restaurants and fabulous shopping just steps away. The subway is also close at hand. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms fine, kitchen well equipped, washer and dryer convenient. The bedrooms are in the back of the building, away from the street. There is a small balcony which we did not use because of traveling with a toddler. I highly recommend this property and personally hope to be able to return to stay there again.

191266An ideal base to explore the city that never sleeps!
Left on 11/15/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed in this apartment for a week in September and would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone looking to stay somewhere other than a hotel. We were made to feel right at home from the word go.
The apartment is perfect for 2 people - I think 4 would be cosy! It had everything we needed to cater for ourselves and to establish a great base from which to explore the city.
The only thing I would add would be a document of some sort to explain how to switch everything on! -

Sydney, AustraliaComfortable apartment - Fantastic Location
Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed in this apartment for a whole month during May/June 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic and the apartment is very close to a number of main subway stations, great restaurants, Gramercy and Madison Square Park, Union and Times Square. It was wonderful being able to pick up fresh bagels for breakfast each morning from Bagel Express on the corner. We enjoyed exploring the city each day and returning home to a comfortable, secure and well maintained apartment.
The only small issues we had were the lack of food preparation benchspace in the small kitchen and the fact that there is no cd/mp3 player for music, only an ipod dock which is ok for those with an ipod. . -

Sydney, AustraliaCosy, clean and safe accommodation in NYC
Left on 10/20/2010 for a stay in September 2010
My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment in September 2010, we were greeted by Noreen who was very hospitable and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was immaculate with a lovely "feel" and attention to detail. The location was great, felt very safe to walk around at night with lots of cafes and shops open. We loved having the little kitchen and washer/dryer as we had been travelling for 3 weeks previous to our arrival. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, I have already told my friends and my daughter will have the "Noreen" treatment in a few months time!!!

Ashland, OregonHighly Recommended
Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in December 2009
From the moment i contacted the owner manager was a very easy and
pleasant experience. I highly recommend renting this space. it is VERY clean
and extremely quiet as the place faces inward away from the street. its in a
great location and close to transportation and all of your basic needs within
walking distance. There is no elevator so if this is important to you then be
mindful of this. for me it was fine , no problem.
Thank you for such a wonderful place where i rested well and felt very safe
traveling on my own. -

CincinnatiThe very best!
Left on 12/11/2009 for a stay in November 2009
My family stayed at the apartment over the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was very clean and well maintained. The location is safe and is around many restaurants and is close to shopping. Will and Noreen both met us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. They even had fresh milk in the fridge for our kids. We were always able to get a hold of either Will or Noreen which helped with any questions we may have had. First Rate! We will be back!

Paris, FranceExemplary Service
Left on 11/18/2009 for a stay in November 2009
I stayed this past week traveling from Paris and I must say I was so impressed as with all types of fake advertisements on the web especially Craigslist and booking a long distance unit; I was a bit leary, but this was exemplary and lived up to the marketing.
But I must say, apart from the unit which was immaculate and 100 percent the actual unit, the most impressive was the service from day one, William was so accommodating and well mannered as well as attentive, his partner spared no expense for my comfort in providing absolute high scale quality linens and accessories; which is so important to me.
One gets tired of the lack luster hotel standard stuff. Furniture was top of line, as I would purchase it myself. I was able to hear my music on a hightech unit which works with both Iphone and Ipod. I don't cook but the kitchen made me want to cook and I was able to clean my clothes with the added convenience of a modern washer and dryer. It was delightful and I felt like I was at home, they truly were at my beck and call, wish I could find some constructive criticism for the public, as is my nature, but there are none, it was exemplary. Thank you very much and I will be back for sure.
Kindest regards,
Jarrod Valois
