Brisbane, Australiawow i loved
Left on 01/24/2013 for a stay in June 2011
not only did i arrive a day later than my freinds for my 40 th bday , so i was a little left of the eight ball by this stage , when i walked into this appartment i felt like id walked into a freinds place who was out of town for a few weeks , but it also felt like a place we had rented for our week in NYC. so we more than comfortable making ourselves at home , but respecting it like u do someone elses property. Not only was this place in the most awesome area of manhatten, meat packing, chelsea , it also has a view of the hudson and view of a huge pink palace , wich is really an appartment block , but our palace for the week . way to many to mention but so many places to access from this appartment , and a hideaway when u need it , after a full day of nyc i couldnt have asked for a better place to come home to , clean comfortable and safe ... just what i was used to. i didnt get too meet the owner but my freinds said she was nothing but pleasant and her dog was really cute lol ...it was a great experience staying here ...

LondonThe perfect place to stay in New York!
Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I stayed here for a long girlie weekend with a friend, our plans were to sightsee, shop, eat and drink, and we loved every minute of it!
The whole process from the first contact with Victoria to arriving at the apartment was simple and stress free. She is really lovely to deal with and made her home ours for the 5 days.
The apartment is beautiful, clean quiet, light and is more spacious than the photos indicate. We even had a bathroom each! We were lucky enough to have lots of sunshine during our stay and we made full use of the little terrace before we went out in the evening. It is perfectly located, all the restaurants, shops and bars of the Meatpacking district, Chelsea and Greenwich are a short walk away. In fact it wasn't far away from anywhere at all.
Thank you, Victoria, for make our stay such a wonderful one, we will definitely be back!Response from Victoria N - 04/19/2012

LondonAbsolutely fabulous!!
Left on 05/20/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Victoria was such a gracious host and her flat was impeccable. It's in such a great location, we felt we were in the heart of it but at the same time had a nice relaxing environment to come back to. The flat was equipped well and we had all the facilities we needed - bonus having wifi to plan our days and book cool restaurants! Thanks for a wonderful time:)

By no means a 'Luxury' apartment, not quiet, every day, all day long there was construction noise, dust and vibration. It was no holiday. The apartment was not prepared for us to rent. We had to say we were here 'friends'. We felt very uncomfortable and moved out one night. The stench of dog and dog hair on everything from towels to the filthy rug was unacceptable.
The renter cleared out a couple of drawers, no closet space. She left a vase of rotting flours and a $5 bottle of wine and expected us to be happy about it!
Only suitable for someone who just wants to sit in a stranger's home and not touch anything, the renter was rude and offensive and has held back a deposit. This person wants you to behave like a friend and take your money like a strangers. She expected us to leave it spotless as though nobody had been there. Move on folks, dont risk your hard earned vacation by lining her pockets.Response from Victoria N - 01/10/2012
Owner
This renter never voiced a single complaint during his 7-night stay. He also fails to mention that - at his request - I gave him one of my week-long guest passes to Equinox gym - worth more than $100.
. It was only after I expressed my dismay with the disgusting condition in which he left the unit, that he began complaining. He unleashed a barrage of nasty emails that included threats to "report" me to my landlord (I don't have one) and to tell my neighbors that my activities are putting them at risk (!). He also:
Attempted to get Amex and PayPal to credit him back the FULL amount of the rental fee,
Called my accountant (which means he searched through my files),
Reported my cleaning person to the IRS, and
Reported me to the IRS.
I guess he assumed-incorrectly-that I don't report my rental income.
Most disturbingly, it was clear that he and his partner rifled through my belongings quite extensively.
I paid him pack his depsit but took a $150 cleaning fee; it was the only time that I've ever had to do that to a renter.

Sydney, AustraliaFabulous and tastefully decorated Chelsea apartment
Left on 01/04/2011 for a stay in December 2010
What a wonderful and professional host Victoria is, from the time we made an enquiry about the apartment to checking out.
If you want to feel like a local living in Chelsea and take in all what the surrounding village offers, this is the place for you. The apartment is modern, tastefully decorated and so comfortable that it felt like home. It's spacious, clean and has all the mod cons. The only improvement that we could suggest, is to have a more comfortable bed in the second room.
There are so many great restaurants, bars and cafes to be enjoyed that you won't want to go uptown.
We will be recommending Victorias apartment to friends should they be going to New York. -

LondonFantastic
Left on 11/08/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Great apartment. Facilities excellent and in fantastic location. This was the first time we have not stayed in a hotel on a visit to NYC and we decided in future we would always prefer to have an apartment. We had an amazing holiday. Only negative comment is that my friends who slept in the bed in the guest room did not find it very comfortable.

LlandeiloA perfect place to feel at home in New York
Left on 10/07/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This was our first visit to New York (husband/wife in our sixties with two 30+ daughters) and we could not have picked a better place. It was clean, roomy and homely with a welcoming feel, including the bottle of wine etc. The location was in easy reach of the usual sights and was in an interesting area in itself with many things to see,and with really good restaurants and shops. It felt like we were staying with friends in a normal neighbourhood and as a result we didn't feel like tourists. A very pleasant, enjoyable and easy experience.

Berlin, GermanyExcellent! Fantastic! Amazing!
Left on 06/14/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We, three friends from Germany, stayed here in early June 2010.
Located in New York's trendy Meat Packing District this apartment is the perfect starting point to explore the city and since situated on a quiet and neat side street, it's also the perfect retreat after an exciting day of sightseeing and/or shopping.
We were cordially received and felt "at home" the instant we set foot in this apartment.
The interior is outstandingly tasteful and beautiful and kept in excellent condition. The equipment leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Another plus: the private patio overlooking the neighborhood.
A fantastic accommodation in a fantastic city! -

LondonNew York Style in the heart of the West Village.
Left on 01/21/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Victoria's duplex is not only stunning, but laid
out in a contemporary European style that is
comfortable and chic.
The two floors are spacious and have great
facilities with full marble bathrooms on both
floors and a roof deck on the top.
The beds are comfortable and the large TV is great
for an evening in just chilling.
I can highly recommend this place rather than a
hotel as you get privacy, style, full facilities
and a great position.

Boston, MAYou will never find a better NYC Vacation Home
Left on 01/18/2010 for a stay in January 2010
This was a great experience. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The
booking experience was fantastic- all details were dealt with in a highly
efficient and yet relaxed manner. The apartment is spectacular. It manages to
be stylish, contemporary, and yet very comfortable. For those of you who
haven't been to the West Village, it is the epicenter of NY dining, culture, and
social life. Leave Times Square to the casual tourists! What I liked best was
staying in a fantastic apartment with a great view in a wonderful NYC
neighborhood. What I liked least was having to leave! I recommend this
vacation home enthusiastically, and without hesitation. -

New Orleansfine neighborhood; spacious, gracious living in NYC
Left on 11/23/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Outside, the most civilized neighborhood in Manhattan: inside, a cozy, chic retreat, replete with an upstairs patio and two full bathrooms. Well decorated by a woman with style and substance. Our stay was made more delightful by apartment's proximity to the Meat Packing District and a waterfront park. Upstairs, at night, you can see it all from a wood deck. But no one will see you.
