BermudaGreat Location and the subway is across the street!!
Left on 04/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I took a very last min trip to NY with my 7 year old son. I found this hours before we got in. What a great place. The subway is across the street. Just the right amount of space. I was so worried about having a kitchen and we hardly used it. There are so many places to eat right down the street. Just enough room for the both of us. Everything we needed and more. Thanks for the quick and easy check in and out. So many places to choose from it can be confusing glad I found this. Thank you!!!

Montana, USAIdeal location, very small apt. but good price
Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in November 2011
This apartment served our needs. It is 20 mins from Times Square and handy for everything else. We took the train from JFK to Penn Station and walked to the flat. Our space was approx. 200 sq. ft. so pretty crowded, even for 2 people. It didn't look like the photos. They advertised balcony or similar but we didn't have one. There was virtually no supplies there to prepare food or wash dishes, not even any Kleenex or coffee filters. Fortunately we found a grocery about 3 blocks away to stock the place with. No ice machine so purchased bagged ice at grocery. There was lots of electronic gadgets most of which did not work. So, location is good. Apt. is tiny and should have had some supplies.

Glasgow, United KingdomExcellent Location
Left on 09/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011
I travelled to NYC for 5 nights from the end of august by myself. This rental was perfectly located in Central/Mid-town Manhattan. 2 blocks or so from the Empire State building and great delis and an internet cafe nearby (internet cafe on West 33rd St)
Was also easy to take the subway from the airport ($7.50 getting the airtrain, blue a/C line to the intersection with the green 4,5,6 line to 33rd street) and the apartment is just a block away from the 33rd St stop.
The subways were shut down for 2 days while I stayed due to hurricane Irene so I had to walk everywhere but it was still only 10 - 15 minutes walk to Times Square and Central Park.
Doorman was friendly and the Deli across the street did a great breakfast!
Matthew was easy to communicate with and helpful in the last-minute booking of this rental. Would definitly reccomend! -

LondonA wonderful stay
Left on 09/06/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Matthew was very responsive right from the start. My husband and I were visiting from London and were able to check in very late (around 11pm) without any hassle. The studio apartment we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and we immediately felt at home. This was the first time we stayed in a vacation apartment and I dont think I would consider staying in a hotel again when visiting NY in the future. Great value for money, situated in a great location, just a few minutes walk from Empire State building. Would definitely stay again! Absolutely loved it!

Göttingen, GermanyA perfect stay!
Left on 06/24/2011 for a stay in October 2010
It was a clean and well equipped apartment which looked just like the photos. We really appreciated the fantastic location: just short walks to many of the major attractions eg Empire State, Times Square, Grand Central...
Matt was easy to communicate with and a friendly and helpful doorman on site was alwaly willing to assist us with any questions.
Just one little remark: Please revise the apartment's leaflet. The check-out time indicated there was different from the one the doorman told us. Thus we had to check out two hours earlier than we had planned.
All in all, it was the perfect place to stay in NYC! -

Seattle, WashingtonBeautiful apartment that could use just a few improvements
Left on 06/15/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The Good:
*Matt was easy to communicate with before we got the place and was able to set up a late check in (very late) with no problems or additional costs! Thanks
*Very Clean... Very clean!!!
*No additional deposit (or it is pro-rated into the price)... still, nice to not have to deal with a deposit in addition to the final rental price.
*Great Location... it was so easy to find and get to everything from this central location (easy access to subway).
*A relatively quiet street for midtown manhattan
*It really is a lovely little apartment, there were just a few things to improve on to make it a more memorable experience!
Things to improve, to keep people coming back:
*The bed was firm... Very firm and not that comfortable, but not horrible... maybe get a mattress pad for a softer experience.
*The shower has great pressure, but a cheap head... if you guys just replaced it with a nicer shower head, it would be awesome! It was almost painful to shower (like being hit with a fire hydrant)
*Stereo didn't work... make sure everything works, is plugged in and ready to go when your guests arrive (emailed Matt about it, but no response)
*Dvd player wasn't hooked up to the TV or plugged in... sure all a guest has to do is plug it in, but shouldn't it already be done? (it's the details that keep people coming back).
*Cable TV went in and out (Old Cable box)... The cable would occasionally flicker off and on, then loose signal, then flicker off and on, till you cut the power and re-booted it. It was very annoying to deal with when you were in the middle of a show (emailed Matt about it, but no response).
* in the listing it says it has a balcony, but doesn't... only the one and two bedrooms have balconies (not the studios).
All in all, it was a nice clean place and looked just like the photos.Response from Mark S. - 06/24/2011
Owner
Kletia,
Thank you so much for the feedback! Firstly, we have alternative options for the showerhead and matresspads with the doorman, which was a recent update!
As for the issues with the cable box it is rare that we have that at our building but we will be sure to double check the unit that you were staying in as the flickering should never occur.
Thanks again for your feeback! -

Dubai, United Arab EmiratesGood location,Okay apartment, service wise couldnt be bothered.
Left on 05/22/2011 for a stay in September 2010
Checking in took two hours as they had lost my booking, had to stand in the hallway with a 9 month old baby because the guy couldnt get authorisation to let us in, despite the fact I had print outs of the confirmation.
Requesting late check out I was told no as they had someone arriving at midday, I unfortunately had left something in the freezer and went back at 2pm and the room wasnt even cleaned yet.
Very poor service. Room was clean and had all the applicanies required. Quite at night and a good location as the subway is just at the end of the block. -

Los AngelesGreat experience!
Left on 11/10/2010 for a stay in October 2010
My travel group of eight friends occupied a one bedroom apt. and a two bedroom penthouse suite. Both units were quite spacious, clean and well maintained. It felt like we were hanging out at home. We loved the convenience of a kitchen for saving meal leftovers and reheating food that we'd bring back from all the places we ate. It was also nice having amenities like an on site laundry facility, iron/ironing board, hair blow dryer, etc. that made our stay enjoyable and seemingly hassle free. Whenever we had any questions or problems regarding our units (during reasonable day and evening hours), there was a friendly doorman on site to assist us. When he wasn't available, we had a contact number that we used on several occasions. Someone always answered our calls and made sure our needs were addressed.
We really appreciated the fantastic location. It had very close subway access, a Duane Reade store nearby, lots of different banks for convenient aTM access and best of all...it was just steps away from a great café (Silo Café) and various other restaurants for convenient meals and snacks.
It really is an ideal housing situation for a group of travelers or a family. Since we spent most of our time site seeing and exploring the city, we weren't looking for an expensive hotel with tons of amenities that we wouldn't be using anyway. We really only needed a nice, comfortable, safe place to sleep at night - which is what we got. It was definitely a great value for the money we spent and we now highly recommend it to everyone we know. -

Left on 06/17/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Our 6 day stay in May in 2 Studio apartments (4 adults) was an excellent experience with each apartment providing facilities of a well above average standard, an elegant bathroom & lots of storage for clothes/luggage. The well appointed laundry was also appreciated. The airconditioning was given a strong workout due to the early to mid 90's temperatures during our stay and the apartment was a cool refuge when needed. The location is its greatest feature allowing short walks to major attractions eg Empire State, Moma, Times Square, Grand Central and shopping opportunities of Olympic proportion and our least enjoyed feature was that we could not stay longer. We returned for a 4 day stay in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment in early June and our level of satisfaction did not diminish.

Left on 06/03/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The studio apartment was exactly as it appeared in the Homeaway listing photo. It was clean, easy to use, convenient to mass transit - basic home-away-from home housing, in other words. In some ways, it was a little too basic. I had to buy my own ice cube trays and shampoo. It wasn't easy to figure out how to contact the managers. I think this might have been too big a challenge for someone who had little experience with New York, much less Murray Hill. If you could lower the degree of difficulty for your tenants a little by leaving fewer things to acquire and figure out, the experience would be improved.

Thank you for your review. As we aim to improve, we are currently ordering ice cube trays for all the units, as well as leaving contact cards for our new concierge service in the apartment.

Left on 05/20/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Reviewed a number of accomodation options before settling on the Park
Avenue Furnished studio apartment. Thanks to Mark we received immediate
responses to our requests for further information/detail. ( Not sure he sleeps).
The rates were more than competitive with the alternate options and we were
surprised at the overrall quality of the studio. It was in a secure block,
modern and very clean. We needed the TV connection to be fixed and this was
done promptly and courteously. In fact all staff were very customer oriented.
Finally the apartments were ideally located midtown and easy to access the
sights of New York. If they maintain this standard I would definately go back
and will recommend to others. -

Left on 04/13/2010 for a stay in April 2010
All our dealings with Mr. Shemel, the Principal of "Think Properties" in arranging for this apartment were done in a highly professional manner. We did appreciate the special service he offered in stocking the refrigerator with some grocery essentials prior to our arrival at the apartment. The apartment was very clean, and offered all the amenities we had hoped for. As first-time visitors to New York city, we particularly appreciated the central location of this apartment relative to many points of interest to the tourists. The fact that the subway access was just a few yards down from the apartment was definitely an added convenience.
We have the following recommendations to make this a more perfect accommodation for short term renters: (1) Provide essential supplies for washing dishes & kitchen utensils, (2)Set up a detergent vending machine in the laundry, (3)Provide night stands on both sides of the bed (instead of just on one side), and (4) Install some form of weather striping-like material at the bottom of the entry door to reduce the noises from the elevator and hallway.
Response from Mark S. - 04/15/2010

We are constantly working to improve our guests stay with us. These are certainly excellent suggestions and we will implement them immediately. Though of course, we have already ordered detergent vending machines.

Left on 04/13/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The location in Murray Hill is fantastic, the room was comfortable and the laundry and exercise facilities in the basement were nice and convenient. Probably the only weird thing was that there was almost no toilet paper in the unit, but with bodegas on every corner of Manhattan that's not an issue. I'm not sure of the other amenities, would have liked the internet to have been wireless, but not a big deal. I should have contacted Anthony & Dave about a business center since I needed to have something printed, but the UPS Store around the corner was easily able to accommodate. Checking in around 5pm I would have expected the room to be ready, but it wasn't, again, not an inconvenience since they let us leave our bags and we headed to dinner and a show. The rooftop view of the Empire State Building was an added plus and would definitely consider staying here again.

LondonA great alternative to staying in a hotel
Left on 03/27/2010 for a stay in March 2010
I stayed in the studio apartment for 12 days and had a great time. With the apartment located in midtown Manhattan it’s perfectly situated to visit the major New York City sights, with The Empire State, Chrysler Building, Madison square Gardens and Time Square all within easy walking distance. You are also walking distance to the main train and bus stations if you are taking trips further afield.
This is a Bright, Spacious, Modern and well equip apartment. Everything from the furniture, bed sheets to the plates and glasses are of a good quality and all the staff are approachable, friendly and incredibly helpful.
I travelled as a woman on my own and felt totally safe at all times.
One word of warning – Don’t forget your credit card, you’re also right on the door step to some of the most amazing shopping.
My advice, If you are travelling to New York, forget cramped overpriced hotels and try these apartments.

We were delighted with our Park Avenue studio apartment where we stayed for almost a week.
Everything - from Anthony, the authentic, informed and helpful New York doorman, to the very clean and modern studio in a new building, to the fully-equipped kitchen, to the subway and buses right at the corner, to easy access to many excellent restaurants and a grocery store a short walk away -was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
If you're driving, we also recommend nyc.bestparking.com - browse garages and locations and book a spot at a guaranteed rate before you arrive. -

Left on 03/13/2010 for a stay in March 2010
I can highly recommend this as a great vacation apartment - a wonderful
alternative to a hotel! The apartment feels upscale - it is brand new, spotless,
quite, and half a block to the 6 subway. The street has many restaurants, delis
and pharmacies. Very comfortable bed and my friend slept on a great fold out
couch - nice linens, pillows, towels. Mark was very responsive/helpful in
making our arrangements and the greeting doormen were wonderful-taking
our bags up to the apartment. Doormen are there until midnight every day.
The apartment was on interior court and we didn't see much sky - but that was
fine - we were out all day. Great to be able to make breakfast for ourselves -
but also close to great place to hang out or meet up with friends at Ace Hotel
Lobby and Stumptown Coffee (best coffee around). Also near dinner/bar
hotspot: The Breslin @ 29th/B'way. Wonderful!
