      Fantastic

We just got back from a long weekend in NYC and stayed at this lovely apartment. It was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. The location was great and the use of the public transportation was so easy to access the whole city. Noreen was absolutely delightful! She met us at the apartment after 10pm on our arrival and showed us around and gave some recommendations on restaurants and the neighborhood. I know that people warn you about NYC rentals but this was fantastic and so easy. We love having our own space and you really get to have a true city experience. The apartment has everything you need and very easy to see the entire city from! We can't wait to go back!

Lovely place for our stay in NYC

Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012

My friend and I had a great adventure in New York and really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Noreen was really prompt in all communication and stayed till late for us to arrive after a delayed flight, which we really appreciated! She's really friendly and extremely helpful with all our questions and in assistance.

The apartment actually looks even better than the photos suggest - it suited us well as we were looking for two areas for sleeping so one of us took the bed and the other the sleeper sofa/air mattress. The only thing that wasn't great was the comfort level of the sleeper sofa - once you open it out it has a big line down the middle so you are pretty much stuck to one side. I ended up moving to the air mattress which was much more comfortable at the start of the night, but by morning was more like a water bed :) and needed re-pumping.

Overall we loved staying here in this cute apartment - we weren't around much but it supplied everything we needed and getting to the subway or supermarket was a really short and easy walk. Highly recommend!

A comfortable home from home in New York

Left on 09/22/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable apartment near Gramercy Park, Union Square and Madison Square Park. Noreen welcomed us and showed us round the apartment which was clean and fresh. It is fully equipped from sheets and towels to a full range of kitchen items. There is good air-conditioning which we needed for our first few days.
The location is excellent having a cross-town bus service outside the front door as well as up and downtown services nearby and three subway stations in the vicinity. There are lots of nearby supermarkets and delis.
Finally Noreen was able to allow a late check-out on our last day, showing flexibility and helpfulness.
It would be useful however for the site to list the apartment number and address to aid check-in.

Nice apartment near Gramercy Park, Flatiron Building

Left on 09/24/2011 for a stay in September 2011

My mom and I stayed in this apartment for a mother-daughter trip; we had hoped to stay somewhere a little closer to Times Square, but I was sold on the overall value of this apartment: quiet-ish (for Manhattan!) street, cute furnishings, mostly-stocked amenities (we were bummed that the apt did not have bath soap and dishwasher detergent - those were really the only things that we found lacking) and just a 2-3 block walk to the nearest subway... The apartment was also very clean!

As others have mentioned, Noreen was very easy to work with and very responsive, which was really great. Definitely take follow her recommendation to eat at the Friend of a Farmer. It was one of the best dining experiences during our stay.

I would recommend renting this apartment - we hope to visit again!

This is the street where the apartment is located... we started walking EARLY!

Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Comfortable, clean and totally secure apartment.

Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Our first visit to New York was a very positive experience. Noreen greeted us the apartment, which we found to be, during cold april weather, warm, cosy and inviting. There were basic supplies in the apartment, however within minutes of our arrival we were at the supermarket on the corner of the street buying some extra supplies for our two-week stay. The apartment is well located on a cross-town bus route and with the subway only minutes away. There are also are many restaurants within easy walking distance. We travelled without a lap-top but were able to use the Epiphany Library across the street for our emails. (The first night or so I slept with ear-plugs because of the occasional siren, however I soon acclimatised and slept soundly thereafter without them.) The apartment has a cosy ambience which was good to get back to at the end of each of our very busy days "out on the town"!

The apartment was perfect, clean, with all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Noreen was available for anything we needed. The location was good and a nice short walk to many great places. I would highly recommend and I would stay there again. Perfect for two people who want to sleep separately and have the convenience of apartment living in nyc.

A very pleasant place to explore Manhattan from

Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We spent a few days in New York with our family this spring. Because we like privacy and a kitchen we decided to rent an apartment. We contacted many people and often got no response, sometimes unreasonable conditions (100% of cost before arrival, no assurance). Noreen was different. We talked to her on the phone, she was very personal and friendly. She was there to welcome us at the place. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Just like in the photos. The location was ideal for us to explore New York. The neighborhood is lively, but you feel safe and you can rest at night. Whenever we had a question, Noreen was there to assist us.
My family and I felt very comfortable at the apartment and we will recommend it to our friends here in Germany.

Perfect place for a perfect stay :)

Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in April 2010

I met up with my family in NYC over the Easter weekend. It was my parents first visit to NYC so it was very important to me to have a comfortable and save place for us. After our originally booked apartment got canceled 4 days before our trip I discovered flipkey (through Tripadvisor) and... found THIS apartment! Noreen, the lovely owner & manager called me within 10min after I sent my request, we talked and everything was great again! Truly, a blessing in disguise :)! That's how renting a vacation home should work. Very personal so that both sides feel comfortable.
Noreen was there to welcome my family before I got there. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Full kitchen & bath, high quality sheets and towels. And all that in probably one of the nicest neighborhoods in all of Manhattan. There is a great bagel & muffin place around the corner, a big convenience store across the street and even bigger stores up the street, two banks, a drug store, 2 major Subway stations within a few blocks, a little fruit cart & newspaper stand right out front, lots of restaurants and bars to the right and left, within blocks of the beautiful Flatiron building... and so much more!
On top of that, whenever we had a question or needed something, Noreen got back to us within minutes and... problem solved!
This apartment truly felt like a home away from home to us! Having a comfortable place to stay is key to a successful visit.
We will definitely recommend her to all of our friends and family. And who knows, we might be back sooner rather than later!

Thank you, Noreen :). You made our visit even more memorable and special. And... you definitely restored our faith in the vacation rental system!
