The amazing Kerry Cabin offers a rustic setting nestled in the Manistee National Forest. This hand-built cabin has all the modern amenities and is wonderfully decorated with extra touches that add to a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. Kerry Cabin is the perfect place from which to explore the many things the areas has to offer. For those wanting to experience the great outdoors (fishing, hiking, biking or exploring the forest) the Little Manistee River, hiking/biking trails, or seasonal sand roads are within walking distance; access Tippy Dam and Hodenpyl Dam are a short car trip away. For sunbathers and beach combers the town of Manistee offers access to Lake Michigan and is a great place to spend the day walking the boardwalk, exploring downtown, and enjoying lunch at one of the local eateries. Each morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, the short "coffee" trail (on site) offers the opportunity to watch wildlife (chipmunks, deer, and birds) scamper about. Fun to watch, the wildlife added to the overall setting of Kerry Cabin without interfering with enjoyment. I would recommend this rental and would stay here again.
