Description from the owner
Bed and breakfast apartment/suite located 50 metres from Manly Beach. Fully self contained with your own private entrance. We are close to cafes, restaurants, pubs and the town centre, yet removed from the hustle and bustle. Walking distance to the famous Manly Ferry which will have you in the city in 30 minutes or less on the Fast Ferry. We are very handy to public transport to all the Northern Beaches.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in February and found angela very accommodating of our check-in/check-out times which were particularly early. The apartment itself is charming with loads of character and a lovely, comfortable bed. It was quite different to other places we stayed on our trip and made for a welcome change from motels and drab hotels. We were totally charmed by the place and would definitely recommend it.

Great place to stay and so close to all amenities - no need to hire a car. Angela and Nick were perfect hosts and so friendly. I really liked the house especially the verandah courtyard where you could sit and eat your breakfast or have your glass of wine - it reminded me of my grandparents house back here in New Zealand Will be back when I return to Sydney for another holiday by the sea. Thanks angela and Nick.

The location was perfect & much closer ro the beach than I thought which was great. The little house was charming & it was nice to be self contained. We had all that we needed & Angela even provided a cot for the baby.
It was very easy to get the ferry into Sydney & good to come out of the city & back to Manly in the evenings.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property & I think Manly is a very good place to stay. -

I would highly recommend this property, it is literally 2 minutes from Manly beach and very accessible from the ferry or by bus. Angela and Nick are absolutely wonderful hosts, friendly and very helpful. The apartment itself is just perfect, very clean and spacious, in a quiet street, but close to the shopping and restaurant areas. All in all a wonderful place for a couple of days or a couple of weeks and I would definately use again for my sydney holiday.

Our party of three enjoyed our stays at Be By the Sea in april and May this year. The house is charming and convenient for the beach and not too far from the centre of Manly and the ferry to Sydney. Although parking is tight, a visitor's parking pass from angela made it much easier. Angela is a charming hostess, who gives visitors the space to enjoy their holiday, but is on hand to help. If we are back in Manly, we would certainly try to book Be By the Sea again.

It's lovely when you're close to everything in Manly but it yet feels somehow quiet and remote. The B&B; is warm and inviting and I love the separate living room and entry. It was very clean and beautifully presented, reasonably priced and we will definitely go back. Close to great cafes, the beach and a short walk to Manly town centre. Friendly and accommodating owners, an all round gem of a place. Thanks!

We had a delightful small house all to ourselves with most comfortable bed, sitting room, bathroom, and small kitchen. We were close to the beach and close to our daughter's home so the location was perfect.

We had a warm welcome and angela and her family were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and felt really homely. The location was excellent being just a few metres from the sea front in Manly and also within comfortable walking distance to the shops and the ferry to Sydney.

My wife and I live locally and late last year were looking for a quiet place to stay for a night pending the arrival of our third child. We found Be By the Sea and it ticked all the boxes: its quiet, clean, comfortable and full of character yet its moments from Manly Beach. When my parents came out from UK to meet their new grand daughter I needed to find somewhere for them to stay and I booked them in to "Be By the Sea" and they were glad I did.

We stayed for a week last year and have booked for another week this year. Lovely friendly host. Lots of room superb location,close to the surf beach (30 seconds) very quiet and only a few minutes walk along the water front to the central shopping area.

My husband, 4 month old son & I stayed here over Christmas and loved it. The location is brilliant, literally a 60 second stroll to the beach and 5 minutes walk to the centre. Angela and her family were friendly, welcoming & helpful and the accommodation is cozy, clean & comfortable. There is only one bedroom from which the bathroom & kitchen access is gained so its probably only suitable for a couple or parents with a baby who can sleep through people passing through the room.

This cottage retreat suited our trip to a tee. We enjoyed the location, the accommodation, and the breakfast... Wonderful Oceanfrontage right out the front door...a spacious 2 full rooms to spread out, we were very comfortable here... we would highly recommend!

Great location - 3 doors from surf/esplanade & enjoyable stroll down to shops, cafes, etc. Flat, 20 min walk with suitcases from Manly wharf. Apartment is completely self contained, own entrance, owner very friendly but doesn't bother you. No air con but double brick so keeps cool. Very clean & bright. Comfy queen size bed.

From our first booking correspondence through to our arrival day was very easy and well organised. The cottage was not only in a fantastic location but was a beautiful place for the family to come back to and relax. Having angela on hand to answer any questions made it feel like it was our home too

My experience with angela in Be By The Sea B and B, was brilliant. The location was second to none, where else could you hear the heart beat of the ocean as you sleep. The facilities are superb and to be beside such a kind family as the Roelvinks was the icing on the cake.

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst in Manly to visit relatives. And what a delightful place it was. Not only did I have my own entrance, but a separate bedroom, own bathroom, modern kitchenette & my own living room. Angela, the owner, was more than helpful & very friendly. The place was immaculate & only a stone's throw to the beach. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Sydney

Be By the Sea B & B is just that - right by the beach in Manly. The joy of this B & B is that it is not just a bedroom with breakfast - it is a small apartment. The accommodation consists of large bedroom, spacious modern bathroom, kitchenette and large sitting room. Furnishings are extremely comfortable and contribute to a great stay. Our hostess, Angela, could not have been kinder or more helpful.
