Able to sleep up to four people in one double room and one twin, this house is an ideal home-from-home for a family or two couples wanting to explore this stunning part of the country. Situated on the outskirts of Manod near the centre of Snowdonia National Park is this delightful 18th Century, stone-built terraced property. Set amidst the incredible mountain scenery, this charming little cottage boasts glorious views of this breathtaking region, as well as a number of original features. With exposed wooden beams, an original flagstone floor and a large inglenook fireplace and multi-fuel stove, this wonderful property is full of character. W...ith so much to do in the surrounding area such as trips to Porthmadog, Black Rock Sands and Bodnant Gardens, visitors will be spoiled for choice.

Amenities: Oil central heating with multi-fuel stove in sitting room. Electric double oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, TV, DVD, CD player. Electricity and starter pack of fuel for multi-fuel stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and stairgate available. Off road parking available for 1 medium size car only. Small terraced garden with patio with garden furniture and mountain views. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (please bring own dog beds). Sorry, no smoking. Shops 1.5 miles, pub 10 mins walk. Note: There are 13 steep steps to the rear patio/lawn level, so the garden is not suitable for the infirm or young, unsupervised children.

Town: Situated between the impressive Manod and Moelwyn mountains near the centre of Snowdonia National Park is the charming village of Manod. Once the capital of slate quarrying and known as the ‘City of Slate’ in the 18th Century, the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is just one and a half miles away and makes for an interesting place to visit. With a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, this charming settlement is situated in an elevated, natural bowl amongst the local mountains and is best known for its renowned Llechwedd Slate Cavern, hydroelectric power station and famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway. There are also a number of walking and cycling trails through the incredible surrounding countryside, as well as the National Mountain Centre at Plas y Brenin and a number of wonderful sandy beaches, great golf courses and renowned white-water rafting opportunities.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Small but adequate cottage in a lovely setting and close to many interesting things to see and do in Mid/North Wales.
  
  We travelled as 2 couples + my brothers dog (Jeff) and the living space was more than ok. Clean, tidy and functional. My only negatives would be that the thermostat took 1 hour to locate (behind the curtain next to the sink FYI) and the tin opener was rubbish, also there is only 1 parking space close to the cottage which made it slightly awkward but not a major problem.. All in all, can't complain and we had a great time tackling Snowdon, going to Blackrock Sands, Harlech Castle and Portmerion (All were a car journey away so don't bank on parking up and leaving the car during your stay)

  This cottage was lovely. We really got very attached to this little place during our stay. It had everything we required for our week and it was very clean. If we had to make one very small complaint it would be that the bed in the main bedroom was very soft for us. But overall a lovely little cottage.

  3 Tan Y Rhos is a lovely, well equipped, cosy cottage with beatiful views .The local walks are excellent and the location is good for exploring Snowdonia and the coast. Local pub within walking distance ( no food except Sunday lunch), short drive to several pub/restaurants serving good food. Very helpful, friendly owners and caretaker.
