This is a beautiful vacation home with lots of space for a large family/group. Pool was a lovely and needed addition as our weather was not the best. The house allows for multiple activities, lots of space, a nice kitchen, and very nice bedrooms and baths. We will be back again.
If I could offer a few suggestions I think some comfy furniture on the top deck would be helpful as possibly a better grill.

A beautiful home that is well equipped with games, pool table, outdoor toys and everything you need to have a comfortable week. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, view and being able to dock our boat right in front of the house. The elevator was also very handy! The lay-out of the home lends itself to large gatherings or quiet time alone. Even with a crowd, the bedrooms were well insulted from the noise and had very comfortable beds. There were a few things that need to be repaired and wireless internet access would be nice, but we had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again.

Pirates cove was a perfect getaway for our family. We went with a few family memebers and there was something for all ages to do. We would highly recommend this to others interested in visiting the Outer Banks. Ballast Point # 14 is a very nice house to rent. It is equipped with everything you need as well as games/activities/videos/toys, etc for kids and adults. I would highly recommend Ballast Point #14 to families who are looking to getaway.

Bp#14 is awesome. We have stayed at 7 different homes in Pirates Cove and all have suited our needs but this one was above and beyond our expectations. From the 2 dishwashers to the boogie board to the private pool, we would love to come back to this one again! The home could come straight out of a Pottery Barn catalog.

We loved this home. Some very minor issues not even worth mentioning, but this is a home we dream of owning one day! Great dock, pool, etc. Only about 5 minutes from the beach. Was not a fan of the OBX area after a 1999 vacation, but this home has changed our minds! We fished, crabbed, and kyaked from the dock in the morning and nights, after a day at the beach.
One item that did bother me that I feel was very unprofessional of the management company was on Wednesday a man knocked on our door to pickup a jet ski he bought from the owner. The jet ski was in the garage, which we did not have access to. Took about 30 minutes of our vacation time to make several calls to find out if this was legit or a scam. No one from Pirates Cove called us or came down to complete this transaction. I feel this was not my responsibility to police a house that I do not own and while on my vacation.
But again, no issues with the home or location. Pirates Cove is a very nice place. -

This is our second year back at this house and we love it. It has everything that you could wish for, beautiful surroundings, beautiful weather and outstanding amenities. With our annual trip, it lets us all come together once a year and enjoy each others company. Each year we change a few of the people, but still keep some of the old too, but everyone loves the house and raves about all it has to offer. We can't wait for the next year to come back and enjoy the big house. If you have any problems that arise in the house while you are there, they come quickly to fix the problem and are very friendly and courteous. We would highly recommend this location and Pirate's Cove in general, we have stayed in other houses too.
