the first few days of our vacation were pleasant. On the 4th day we received a knock on our door from a man instructing us not to use the one (of 2) bathrooms at all b/c it is leaking downstairs. We were not contacted by maintenance or the office the rest of the day and all of the next day. So we were eight people sharing one bathroom! We called the front office and they knew nothing about it and connected us to the maint. dept head who also claims he knew nothing about it. Turns out the man that knocked on our door was from the home owners association. Needless to say we never had use of the 2nd bathroom for the 2nd 1/2 of vacation and were never contacted again by anyone (home owners assoc or rental company) we were very unhappy that is was mishandled and not compensated in any way.

What a great offering! Thank You for renting your place to us! The third floor has its great views of both the sound and Manteo. Bpv1333 was spacious, comfortable and fully stocked. We even left a few things for others to enjoy. We extremely enjoyed watching the boats pass back and forth in front of the massive master bedroom windows. We felt like we were on a cruise ship and had a huge balcony! The master is seperate from the other bedrooms, which made us forget, all be it for a brief moment, that we brought the kids! Parking was underneath the building and a little intimidating for a larger vehicle, but managable. We wished the unit had a golf cart! We thought that would be cool! Thanks for the eleavator. We will be back to this unit again!

The only thing I have a negative about is that perhaps the televisions should be upgraded. An HD flat screen in the livingroom would have been nice.

We loved our stay at Pirate's Cove. The condo was perfect and it had the most spectacular views of the sound. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the deck furniture. Maybe some comfortable lounge chairs and the pub-style table and chairs so you can see the sound better. All in all, it was great and I would definitely stay there again. The staff at Pirates Cove have always been very nice and accommodating.

This was our first visit to Outer Banks. It was a wonderful vacation. we enjoyed Pirates Cove and we will return. We loved walking in the community each night. We enjoyed Manteo. The Fishermans Warf had great sea food. The sun set cruise was nice. The condo fit all of our needs the only improvement I think would make the stay better would be comfortable chairs on the deck and there is no pool for adults. We attempted the pool for renters but there were so many children it unenjoyable. Bp #1333 is ver centrally located.

The owners and property management people operate this rental as if they were living there. Very nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable. Outstanding view of the Sound.

View of sound from condo was great, although traffic noise from the bridge was constant while on the deck. Loved to walk around neighborhood. I arrived to check-in at 3:35pm and the PC rental office made me wait until 4:00pm on the dot which seemed a bit unnecessary. Condo is a bit of a drive from the beach. Other than that would stay there again.

Very nice place and location. I would have liked to rate higher, but there were several annoyances over the stay. The first is that we arrived around 9 PM, and there were no instructions prior to arriving about late arrival. I had to check with the security guard who pointed us to the office where our material was in the door. Late at night, it was difficult to locate our condo - the building we were in was not well marked. When we arrived, our cable and internet service was also out. It took a couple of days to fix (was on Monday late afternoon). I will say the Staff and Owners did work very hard to get service restored, but it was very annoying not having that service all day Sunday. Finally, it was not well advertised that you have to also supply your own soap, toilet paper, etc. This is not a hotel, but we expected to have those necessities. Other than that, the Staff at Pirates Cove were all great, the Owners were great, the location was great, and the condo was very clean and a great place to kick back.

My son, daughter-in-law and 4 year old granddaughter and I had a wonderful time. My granddaughter loved watching the boats and the water and always wanted to share what she was seeing. We were together with other family members for a wedding and all parties were delighted with the accomodations. Between us we rented a 3 bedroom condo, a 1 bedroom condo and a 4 bedroom house. We would come again and hope to do so next year.

So we stayed on the top floor and the view was beautiful. We like to cook so we ate in alot, this was not a cooks kitchen, the silverware bent and the knives came free from thier plastic handles. But hey, like most people we weren't really there to cook. The views were great, Pirates Cove has great amenities, our unit had its own bicycles, crab traps, tennis rackets, we really enjoyed the resort and all the things to do... if you are looking to spend all your time at the beach this may not be the place for you but we had a 2 year old that loved the pool but was frightened by the waves at the beach after my husband was knocked down so it was great for us.

Pirates Cove has it all,the unit we stay in has an awesome view of the sound. When you have had all the sand sun and surf you can take it is so nice to sit on the balcony and watch the boats go by. The pool is a nice alternative to the beach and is always spotless. My personal favorite happens every evening at 5:00 when the charter boats come in with there catch, you never know what you will see.

We've stayed many times in Pirates Cove and have never had a better view of the Sound. It was heaven to be able to enjoy it without climbing 3 flights of stairs - appreciated the elevator! The weather was iffy but the condo was comfortable and well-stocked with games, videos, puzzles and Wi-Fi access. The only disappointment was that we didn't have quite the quality or quantity of kitchen equipment that we've enjoyed at other rentals. The condo slept 8 but there were not enough utensils for all of us to eat at once - we needed to go out and buy plastic. Other that than issue, it was a wonderful experience.

The moment we arrived at Pirates Cove we knew we had a winner. The grounds were beautiful and well groomed almost new. The staff was genuinely helpful and available if needed. Our Condo had the best view of any on the Soundfront and the rooms were tasteful and very comfortable. Everything we needed was at our reach. Our idea was to just relax and we succeeded.
This was our second trip to Pirates Cove and now we will dream of how soon we can do a third.

This rental property is a joy! Accommodations are the best - feels like a home away from home! This villa is very comfortable and appealing, and the sound view is the best! We highly recommend Unit 1333 and look forward to our stay in 2009! We also want to thank the staff at Pirate's Cove for their wonderful service and very friendly demeanor!
