Can't recommend Bv221. Not clean (all rugs filthy/hair in bathroom/bed quilt dirty. Bv222 rude. We are quiet-keep TV on lowest volume/close doors quietly). Bv222 banged on wall at slightest noise (flushing toilet). Brought our Norfolk terrier(sweet dog/not hyper/never barks/used being left when we work). When we would leave, she would just get in her bed/lay down. When on beach, received call from Carolyn/PC stating they got complaint that dog was barking & neighbor really upset & we had to do something or homeowner's assoc. would take require us to remove our pet. We let Carolyn know our pet never barks & we did hear a dog barking in unit around us & saw someone bring a large dog up steps. Bv222 put sticky note on our door w/following:"Do something about your barking dog or else! Next Door Tenants." We took our pet everywhere w/us--hampered eating out/shopping. Received call from Ken/PC stating condo owner has it for sale & buyer had already "made plans to fly in next day to look at it". Ken stated we had right to refuse. Had this issue before & buyers stayed over 2 hours, came back next day to measure & contractor next day to start repairs buyers wanted. We declined to have buyers look at this condo. Condo has covered parking space (clearly marked) & we returned 2 times to find car parked in front of space blocking us from entering. Once they were sitting in their car & could clearly see us behind them trying to park underneath building in space & they wouldn't move, stating they were waiting for their friends. Checkout time is 10 am; on last day when packing up to leave, there was a knock on door at 7:50 am & then immediately following a key was inserted/door opened & a big guy walked in on us stating he was there to clean. We said we had until 10:00 am to check out. He & crew stood outside our door while we were trying to take things up & down steps to car & made us very uncomfortable. We have stayed at PC several times but this will most likely be our last.

Pirates Cove is are favorite place in the world. The staff always goes beyond the call of duty. The condo we stayed in had everything we needed for our extended vacation, minus a vacuum, which we recieved within one day. The condo was cozy and comfy. The only thing that the condo could possibly need is a fresh coat of paint throughout and a "good" spring cleaning. Other than that, perfect!

My family stays in OBX every year and we have tried to stay in other areas, but always come back to Pirate's Cove. The homes are always clean and well kept and the staff is friendly and do anything possible to make sure our stay is the best it can be. We will be booking our stay for next year in the next few months and are thinking of making it 2 weeks. Thank you for everything!

This was a great unit. i rented it along with a buddy as we were fishing in the Oregon Inlet Tuna Round up which I am sad to say will not be held in 2009. This unt put you right at all the festivities and was very well equiped for our stay. Our group that fished the tournement is coming back for the same week end for two days of fishing with our favorite captain so we will again stay with you at Pirates Cove again. Thanks for a great time and reasonable rental pricing for your units.

We stumbled upon Pirate's Cove after doing a search on the Internet. My Husband had taken a couple of fishing trips out of the marina, so we were familiar. What a great decision we made. Our trip to Pirate's Cove was the first leg of a two week dream vacation to the Outer Banks. We had perfect weather for the entire two weeks. Pirate's Cove was so easy. It was easy to book online, easy to check in (love the early check in!), and just very easy all around. the activities at the club house for the kids was wonderful. Since we were staying in an ocean front house the following week, we spent every day at the pool the week we stayed in Pirate's Cove. We had so much fun there. We loved staying on the canal. The kids did some fishing and went around the corner and caught baskets of shrimp! Pirate's Cove is close to all of the best restaurants and fun things to do in the Outer Banks without having to stay in Nags Head. It's extra convenient to the Lost Colony show. I would definitely recommend staying at Pirate's Cove. It's affordable and great for a family. However, if you plan to go to the beach every day, it is not the place to stay. The Outer Banks has changed their driving on the beach rules, which makes it a little more difficult to go to the beach if you aren't within walking distance. Just an FYI.
