Like always, we enjoyed our stay at OBX. Bv-836 was very clean and comfortable for us and the view of the sound was beautiful. There were some minor inconveniences with a few things not working (hair dryer, garbage disposal and missing Dvds) but overall it did not distract from our time. The folks at Pirates Cove were friendly and helpful and the garbage disposal was repaired and working within a day. I would have no problem recommending the condo...
The one suggestion I would make is to add Wifi. There is a desktop computer with board band internet access which was helpful but today between smartphones, I-pads and laptops etc, most travel with them so Wifi is a must.
Finally, my one compliant...one week is never enough at the OBX. Thanks. -

Would have given a five star review if the carpet was new, fresh paint in places, the stove worked properly and the sweeper was useable. The service was great. The view from the deck is fantastic.We love the location and plan on returning in the fall.

5 buddies and myself stayed in buccunier 836 and it was great. the condo was extremly clean and the view from the balcony is amazing , the staff at pirates cove was extremly helpfuly and very professional. we had an amazing time , fishing was great and the condo was way more then we expected, we will be returning every year from here on

The kitchen had "everything" one might imagine needing.

The 3 bedroom penthouse was so beautiful and I actually relaxed. I was in Manteo on business and the weather was not good at all, but I so enjoyed the time in the condo. It was close to great resturants and shopping. I loved it!

Great place to stay, relaxing sitting on the deck looking out over the sound. All the amenities you would need. Swimming pool, took advantage of all the kids programs and crafts to entertain the childen. Just a short ride down to the beach and great restaurans close.

We had a great time at Pirates Cove Bv836. The condo was just as we expected! Neat and clean. We were able to tie up the boat right behind the condo. Fishing was a little slow but we enjoyed some great boat rides and the sunsets were awesome. Hope to be back soon.

This was a perfect rental for us. Views and location were a-1. I must say that of all the times we have rented at P.C. this was the first time the rental was not swept, dusted, or cleaned before we arrived. The only cleaned spots were the commodes. Please some pots and pans that can be used without the coating peeling off. Just a little attention would make this unit 100%...

Tables and chairs on deck were high director style which allowed for great views of the sound and sunrise. Great selection of current Dvd's. Condo was well decorated, clean and well equiped. Liked the under enclosure parking; was nice when we left on a rainy Sunday to be able to load car and stay dry, also ket car cool during the hot sunny days.

Great place to stay, with all the amenities. We travelled with grandchildren so it was nice for them to have tv's in their rooms and the computer. Also nice was the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. Great to get away and not have to bring all that stuff. Beautifully decoracted and comfortable place to stay, had everything you needed. We have stayed in a lot of units, but like this the best.

The resort itself is wonderful, clean, beautiful, fun etc.! Our condo and service we received was fantastic. We hope to visit again. The teeenage boys caught enough crabs at the pier outside of the condo to serve for ddinner that night!

Our friends always want to know why we drive so far when other vacation destinations are much closer. The Banks are very special in terms of nature and history, and Pirates Cove is a great base of operations. It is centrally located for beaching, sightseeing, shopping,and restaurants. The staff are friendly. Having linens provided and in place when we arrive late is great. We have always had a great water view. Looking forward to our next trip.

A beautiful condo!
Very nicely decorated and clean. The beds were comfortable and rooms were plenty large. Everything labeled for convenience. Plenty of storage space for suitcases and clothing. So, we could put away all our stuff and the condo looked nice & clean all the time. The storage closet on first floor had beach chairs & boogie boards. It was filled with lots of things. Kitchen was ready for any meal prep. I liked the little window in kitchen. The ceilings are high because the unit is on the top floor/end unit and the additional windows allowed lots of light and an open feeling. A really nice view of the water and bridge and canal with docks. We could watch the older kids take out the waverunner. The bay wasn't crowded and marina is close. The pool was nice with activities for kids too. The beach is just across the bridge only about 5 minutes. Grocery, CVS and gas nearby. Loads of restaurants to choose from. Pirates Cove was a great find for our family! We enjoyed being on Roanoke Island. -

My sons and I, along with close friends take at least two fishing trips a year. Our travels are limited to the East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. This was our first fishing visit to the Outer Banks. We had a great time and the accomodations at Pirate's Cove were very good. As fishermen and newcomers to the area we appreciated the fish cleaning stations and abundant places to eat. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The only problem we noticed was that the TV's weren't hooked up to the cable system and were not working. For us this was not a big deal, since we were fishing during most of our stay and had no time to watch TV. We will be back next year.
