Hello! We loved the property, views, and the neighborhood. We've been vacationing at OBX since 1997 and have stayed in many different properties. We would definitely stay at the Shallowbag Bay Club again.

We had four generations at the condo.We came to celebrate a birthday. My grandchildren loved the place (ages 14 & 17) my mother age 97 was comfortable and able to relax. The condo was very nice and we loved the views of the sound and the marshlands

Our family was in town for our granddaughter's wedding. The condo was close and convenient to every venue we needed to be. Our family was impressed with the site and we were delighted that we had found such a nice place over the internet having not been familiar with the area. We can only attribute that to a fine staff member, Carolyn Booker. Once she knew our reason for the trip and where we needed to be during our stay, she was able to provide excellent guidance. We were on the third floor and the elevator made access most convenient.

Our family of 5 was in town for the OBX Half Marathon. The reservation specialist helped me figure out which properties were closest to the finish line and had the amenities we needed for traveling with kids, as well as handling a partial-week stay and odd travel times. The condo was perfect for all of our needs with private balconies, washer/dryer, and even basic kitchen supplies (detergent, sponge, paper towels, etc.). It was an easy walk to downtown Manteo, so ideally located for us. We had a great time and hope to be back next year!

This was our first time doing the "family vacation" away from Grandmas. I am mid to upper mgmt. The place was in excellent condition, super clean, great location to get to the beach and to use as a jumping off point for things north or south.
The only issue I had was that several times we got back at or near 9pm. The restraunts on the island were either closing or about to close so you had to go back to the strip to find a place to eat.
Having said that, it was nice not being in the middle of the "party" over in kill devil or nags head. It was peaceful and quiet after the kids went to bed - perfect for wine on the deck overlooking the sound. -

We had only one problem while there, and that was
learning how to lock the doors on either side of the
"reading nook". Once we learned that, the facilities
were great! We hope to return next Mother's Day
weekend for another fun and relaxing time. -

A beautiful time of year,sunny,warm, October days with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets at Shallowbag Bay were just a few of the many highlights that made our stay a wonderful and lasting memory. My mother, daughter, and I enjoyed our stay at the beautifully decorated,fully equipped, and private Condo #1006 overlooking the tranquil Roanoke Sound. We had a delicious lunch of Scallops and Rock Fish at Stripers and enjoyed shopping and sight seeing afterwards.
Although the elevator in the condo had a malfunction when we were getting ready to leave, Pirate's Cove immediately offered someone to help us take our luggage to the car. You can't ask for anything better than that. Thank you,Pirate's Cove, for making our stay a get away to remember.
Now, I must get back to reality and watch the Nor'Easter. Whew! It's a big one! -

We've stayed at several condo's at Shallowbag Bay and I have to say that this condo was my least favorite. It just wasn't as equiped with dishes and furniture (inside and out) like the others. The others were not happy that there were no TV's in 2 of the bedrooms. It was nice - we love it there but this particular condo needs some TLC :o)

This Shallow Bag Bay Club property is in a great location on Roanoke Island. It has its own marina, pool and workout area. It is centrally located with a short drive over the bridge to Nags Head. The condo was in great condition with outstanding features and amenities. The clothes washer and dryer was an unexpected surprise. The only things I didn't like about it was the carpet had a few stains and there was only one TV. Overall, I was very satisfied with the condo and would stay there again.
