A wonderful home and place to vacation.

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Our vacation at Pirate's Cove was wonderful. It was a great place to bring two children ages 5 and 1. The home was bright and clean. We brought our golf cart so getting to the pool and playground was a breeze. Our son especially enjoyed fishing from the pier in front of the house. We would definitely visit Pirate's Cove again.

      Great family vacation home

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Nice, comfortable home. Great for big family with kids. Beautiful view, private dock. The kitchen could use more supplies. The house was missing linens for the roll-away bed and trundle bed and some towel sets, but someone came by after hours to bring them when we called.

      Had a great time

Left on 07/31/2011 for a stay in July 2011

This house was very clean and is set up well for a great vacation.

Items to be aware of when looking at the lower price compared to others:
1.It does not offer a hot tub which we could care less about when it is 90 degrees out.
2.Does not provide wireless access. However, we were able to log on to someone elses that was not locked.

      3. Walkway to pier is somewhat overgrown and not well kept, and overgrown trees partially obscure view from deck.

      4. Master suite has some structural issues as walking near the bathroom would yield loud creaks that could be heard throughout the house.

      Love the private dock!

Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011

This was our second year at VL #62 and our sixth at Pirate's Cove. We love the sound front location of the house and the private dock. The unlandscaped sea grasses in the back of the house rustle in the breeze and give the place a more "beachy" feel. The house is lovely and roomy. The only drawback is the lack of some kitchen utensils that would have been useful and a dvd player in the living room. Otherwise, we had a great week and we will be back next year!

      Trip to Manteo 12th anniversary

Left on 06/08/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Let me first say "We love Pirates Cove" the location. sound, weather & homes its a place I would like to live. Vl 62 is a very nice floor plan, it was very open in the living, dining and kitchen area. The furniture was in good condition and the bedding and linens were also in good condition. The refrigerator was very small and the burners on the stove were not level, there were plenty of plates and cookware for the house. There is no backyard at this house its rather overgrown with bushes and trees all the way up to the pier. We had some really bad insect infestation with ants and other bugs (they did come out and spray) The house really needs a Jacuzzi. Other than the few issues we had a wonderful stay and plan to come back in the future. Also the office staff and maintenance staff are very nice.

My wife and I have rented VL 62, for the most part, every year since 2001. We almost consider it our second home. We can't say enough positive about the house/location as well as the responsiveness through the years of the rental office. Whenever a maintenance issue is reported it is addressed promptly and handled very well. We always leave Pirate's Cove with a reservation already in place for our next stay. Keep up the superior work. Thanks.

We have been staying at Vl62 for last 6 years. Each July we rent this beautiful sound front home for a week. It is spacious and yet feels like "home". This gated community is well manicured and managed. We couldn't find a better place!!

Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009

We enjoyed the comfort and luxury of the beautiful home as well as access to a dock on the sound with it's lovely view of passing boats and accessibility to
      crabbing, fishing and sunning.

It was a bit of a walk to the community pool but still manageable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially with a 6 year old. He was right at home.

My husband and I have been bringing our two children to Pirate's Cove since they were youngsters and they are now age 25 and 22. The "Cove" offers safety for everyone and the children love the activities available. Even as adults, our two enjoy the pool, tennis, volleyball and fishing from the docks. We love the daily crafts, etc. that are provided. The "Cove" is away from the hustle of traffic, etc. to which we really love. You are close enough to drive for shopping, eating or to hit the beach. Village Landings #62 is a beautiful, spacious home as is all that we have stayed at over the numerous years. The home was clean and well furnished. If I could change anything, I think it would be to make the drive ways larger so it would be easier to get in and out of. Other than that (which is minor), I can only say good things about the "Cove" and the rental homes. We are looking forward to our next stay!
