Virginia Beach, VAGreat Layout Great Location
Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This house has a great layout for families. There is plenty of space and the location on the Sound is beautiful. A few things could use updating (the couches are very old and there's some peeling wallpaper), but overall the house was very nice and we'd stay there again. My children loved fishing off the dock and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Pirates Cove is fabulous as a resort.

Greenville, NCSister's Weekend Retreat
Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Each year my 2 two sisters and our husbands go on a weekend winter retreat. We stayed here at Pirates Cove this winter for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. House was clean and neat. Space was perfect for our weekend. Very affordable for such a lovely home. We would definitely stay here again.

Raleigh, NCFamily Thanksgiving gathering
Left on 12/08/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We have been enjoying Pirates Cove for 10+ years. I enjoy the community and the staff. However, this rental house is in very bad repair. Some doors are very difficult to open or close including the front door and both sliding doors. The siding is peeling off the sliding doors. Furniture is very outdated and worn out. Uncomfortable to sit on. We will be back to Pirates Cove but will not rent this house. If this had been our first visit the impression would have been poor.

Katy, TXHouse needs work
Left on 01/09/2009 for a stay in July 2008
We enjoyed our week at Pirate's Cove in Manteo, but this specific house needs work. Supposedly accommodates 11 guests!! Wrong. The furniture in the living room was small and uncomfortable. Seating only for 5. Comfortable seating for 1. The decor was out-dated or possibly cast-offs from the owner's usual home. The kitchen was not properly equipped with pots and pans for the number of possible guests. Sheets on the beds were too small and kept coming off. Lighting was poor in the bedrooms because there aren't enough lamps or bedside tables and some existing lamps were broken. An old worthless computer and desk sit in the master bedroom taking up space that could be utilized as a nice reading area with a comfy chair and lamp. There were barely enough towels for the 6 of us to all take a shower without washing towels. The dryer had to be pulled away from the wall so that clothes would properly dry. Then the door to the laundry closet couldn't be closed so we had to listen to the washer and dryer all day. Crabbing was fun. We bought our own crap trap. Use chicken necks for bait. We enjoyed the hot tub.

Danbury, CTGreat Outer Banks rental
Left on 12/13/2008 for a stay in June 2007
We love Pirates Cove and the Outer Banks. This house is great, very
clean, comfortable and spacious. Pirates Cove is in a great location,
close to any activities but also great to just relax and not go
anywhere but maybe the pool or tennis court. The house is
wonderful, the views wonderful, never any complaints. The staff at
Pirates Cove is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.
