Pirates Cove employees were as helpful and courteous as usual. The home was as clean and comfortable as any we have stayed in. Loved the decor and all amenities, including deck. This condo came with a covered parking space, which was awesome as we were driving a new car. Plus we were always guaranteed "our spot".

had a great time, couple of things in the condo, ceiling light in kitchen couple of the metal fixtures fell off and surprised us by hitting us on the head, and as noted in condo book, water in frig, but other than that always a great getaway place.

This condo was great for my vacation with my mother and my ten month old daughter. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The area is very quite and family friendly. We took many walks around Pirates Cove and enjoyed looking at the nice big houses and walking along the many boardwalks along the sound. There is a playground right down the street from this condo which my daughter loved. The only negative I can say is that Pirates Cove in general is not within walking distance to downtown Manteo (at least not an easy walk). But it is a short 2 min drive so it wasn't that bad. We split our days between Manteo attractions in the mornings and then the beach at Nags Head in the afternoons. It was a great time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pirate's Cove. The condo was clean, bright and comfortable. The beds, especially, in BV 313, were so comfortable! My children loved feeding the ducks from our balcony every day, and my 5-year-old enjoyed the activities offered. The restaurants in Manteo are some of the best kept secrets in the Outer Banks!
Pirates cove is a beautiful complex and our condo unit was perfect. Spotless with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. Location was great also. It was our first visit to the outer banks and we loved every minute and would not hesitate to return one day.

The unit was very clean and decorated nicely. The views and surroundings were beautiful. We always stay at Pirates Cove (almost every year) because the Property Manager and team are all so very helpful. We try different units each year and they are all beautiful. Pirates Cove is also close to resturants, entertainment, shopping and the ocean. See you next year!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Pirate's Cove! The condo we rented was in Buccaneer Village #313, also known as "Lizzie's Lair". We loved the location and it was very well kept and very peaceful. Lizzie thought of everything. She was very well organized and gave us complete instruction on everything and also she left a lot of information on local restaurants and sightseeing areas. We will visit again! Thanks Lizzie!!

This condo had everything we could possibly need. Loved having a washing machine and dryer. The only thing I needed was my clothes and food. The community pool was close enough to walk but we weren't too close to it (which I liked). I played the Wii game for the first time. Liked the Tiki Bar with music on Friday nights. The food at Hurricane Moes is not good. Loved sitting on the porch talking, reading, really relaxing. I would go back next time I vacation there.

We've stayed in several condos in Pirates Cove over the last 5 years - when we walked into 313 Buccaneer Village this year, our mouths dropped open. It was SO beautiful. So perfectly decorated, such a beautiful view, such beautiful furniture - and the owner left us a gift!!!!! This is our favorite unit in all of Pirates Cove - we'll definitely ask for it again.

The unit itself was extremely nice, well-furnished, nice cool colors, comfortable. Kitchen was well-appointed making it easy to eat in for the majority of the week. Only complaints were they didn't stock enough TP & Paper Towels and the rental office made a big deal out of us getting extras. Food Lion in Nags Head was very reasonable however.
Resort "extras" were very limited. First the nightly cruise was privately booked most of the time and sold out the other nights, so we had to take the "ghetto" one out of Wanchese. Not recommended - didn't learn a thing about the area. Also the kids Fishing event was a bust as they ran out of poles with at least 15 kids being turned away (including ours). In the pool area, no one supervised the hot tub area and many small kids were in it which is a health issue for them as well as making the water nasty. Restaraunt was OK for snacks but overpriced for main meals. Also, no "Happy Hour" - some nonsense about it being illegal. Overall staff attitude was mostly indifference.
Overall, if you just want a home base and plan to be out and about every day in OBX, this is highly recommended. But if you are looking for a true Resort where you can enjoy yourself without leaving for even a couple days, look elsewhere.
P.S. US-64 and US-158 in Dare County are total Speedtraps. Go more than 5 over and they'll nail you - at least 1/4 of the people we talked to got it on their way in. Then you have to pay off a lawyer to get your points erased. Guess that's how the county welcomes people who want to spend money there.
