Check in was very easy. The condo was clean and well stocked for an enjoyable stay. It was within easy walking distance to downtown Manteo as well as plentiful areas to stop and fish from the dock. The garage parking spaces are tight for anything other than compact vehicles, but there is plenty of parking in front. The elevator made unloading to the apartment a breeze; in addition, there is a lockable storage closet on the ground floor to store all your fishing gear, etc.

This condo was very convenient to the Manteo waterfront due to the fact that a town boardwalk started at the condo harbor and went to the town. This was great for walking to dinner and an afternoon of shopping during a rain. The condo was well equipped and had everything we needed. The living room rug and living room furnishings looked worn, perhaps due to the fact that dogs are allowed in the condo. The condo was clean and did not have that "doggy" smell.

We loved this place; clean, quiet, plenty of space and very convenient. Our daughter got married in Manteo at the lighhouse and she could walk along the boardwalk right to the ceremony.

We love this condo! It is fully-equipped, great view of sound and harbor, quiet and within walking distance of downtown Manteo. Close to restaurants, shops, attractions, grocery stores, etc. And only a few miles to the beach and the rest of the Outer Banks.

This condo was a great place to stay. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future. So many places have very little cooking equipment in the kitchen, but this condo kitchen is well equipped. The view of the marina and sound was beautiful. The condo complex was very quiet. If you rent this condo you will not be disappointed.

Extremely nice condo, great location near the quaint town of Manteo away from the bustle and traffic. Yet, close enough to enjoy the beach, shops and restaurants. Condo was decorated very tastefully and there was adequate space for all to enjoy. Very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely stay again. The condo included membership privileges at the Y and the pool there was great. Hopefully, the developer will install a pool on the premises soon!

We usually go down in august, and will again this year, but went down for a short stay. Everything was great as usual. The only problem was the smoke from the fire over near alligator River which was dense at times.

This is a very nice well-appointed condo in a quiet part of Manteo. The furnishings were very nice, the kitchen had granite and stainless steel. It was very clean. The only negative we had was the porch furniture, which for senior citizens was not user-friendly. It was high "bar stool" type chairs which are not easy to get in and out of for seniors. I suppose if you are in the 20-40 age range it would be fine. Also, the condo itself was hard to find because the four buildings are not numbered and we had to wander around a bit to find it. Better directions from the Pirates Cove people would have helped. However, these are minor issues. I would highly recommend this condo if you are looking for a quiet and well furnished place.

This unit offered much more than we ever expected. We rented thinking we neededenough room for three and end up with only two. We could have easily managed six! Great master bedroom and bath plus bath for the other two well equipped.bedrooms. The kitchen was great for cooking - which we did even though we were on vacation because it had so much to work with. We were able to walk to Old Town for several meals and had so many more options close by. The elevator from the garage made it easy to bring luggage to/from our car, as well as any shopping goodies. That same elevator would make the rental quite accessible to a handicapped person or someone who was older and not up to climbing the stairs.

Other than a miscue/miscommunication in setting it up, the whole experience is great. Marsh's Light is very quiet yet only a 5 minute walk to the Manteo Waterfront. We happened to be down the same weekend as Manteo's Christmas festivities. The area is dog friendly. The condo offers a good view of the sound. It's very comfortable. We were unable to connect to the room's wireless network, however. Our dog found the sofa, carpet, and bed especially comfortable.

We picked this location because it comes with a boat slip and allows pets. My wife and I were not disappointed! The room and the complex seemed brand new and very tastefully decorated. It is in an excellent location because it is within walking distance to Manteo but still surrounded by open areas and walkways for taking dogs out. The grounds were also kept immaculate which made us want to be outside. The staff at Pirate's Cove Realty were very accommodating and we will definitely work with them again when we go back to the Outer Banks.

Pirates Cove provided exceptional customer service from the time of our rental request until checkout. The simplicity and expediency of their procedures coupled with the professionalism of their staff greatly enhanced our vacation.
The Marshes Light condo was a perfect fit for us. The home is spacious, well furnished and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. Multiple Tv's with cd players, ipod dock, and internet provided plenty of modern distractions when the weather turned rainy and cold. The balcony overlooking the marina was perfect for conversation, reading and viewing sunrise.Its location on the sound and proximity to downtown Manteo (an easy stroll along the boardwalk) is perfect!
The only things I would change (and they are minor) is to improve the lighting in the living area and add a radio - I like to listen to the local stations.
All in all a great place, great value, great time. -

A perfect week! The weather was absolutely beautiful and the condo was extremely well appointed and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed every moment on the waterfront, and the walks to Manteo were such a pleasure! Manteo is a wonderful small town, and everyone was so friendly. Just a wonderful week all around! Would recommend this condo to anyone!

Our family was extremely pleased with the rental. The unit was very spacious, clean, and equipped superbly. My only suggestion would be to provide visitors with a map when they pick up the keys since the location was not on the GPS. Although the unit is in fact easy to get to, the first time can be tricky. There was a nice flyer with map in the condo, but one should get this before and not after arriving at the condo.

We are usually disappointed with accomodations because we live a very nice lifestyle at home. This condo, however, provided every comfort we are used to along with a tremendous view of the sound and magnificent sunsets. We honestly couldn 't have asked for more.

The condo was excepeptional, the view was amazing and so peaceful. My mother and I stayed 9 days and were so incedlibley pleased all the around with our rental. We were able to walk just about anywhere we needed to go. I will definately be renting this property again!

The carpet was stained but clean. Since it is a "pet friendly" condo, we overlooked it. The condo was clean, modern, up-to-date and well appointed. We were impressed with how well-stocked the kitchen was. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the marina. The garage parking and exterior parking lots afforded visitors ample parking.
We would definately consider staying there again, and next time would probably bring our dog. We would also recomment the condo to any friends or relatives planning a trip to the Outer Banks. -

Marshes Light is located in the perfect location. Walking distance from downtown Manteo made it great to run out for provisions. The condo is beautifully furnished and the view is absolutely great. This is the second time renting this condo and I will continue to do so everytime I return.

After last years visit to the Outer Banks we discovered Pirates Cove and we knew then we had found our annual vacation spot. A lot of credit goes to Ken Herman who helped us make our reservation that took mere minutes. Once we arrived a month later Ken was there and the staff checked us in and we were on our way. Now that?s Hospitality.
We stayed at Marshes Light #1433 and we found it to be a perfect "10" the view was spectacular the weather was ideal and the other guest we encountered were very friendly.
The board walks to down town Manteo from Marsh Light was a real treat. We rented Kayaks and toured the area from the water, which I highly recommend doing. We viewed the Fourth of July fire works right from the board walk and it was just awesome.
We look forward to returning and exploring other places to stay at Pirates Cove Reality and Manteo. Now that we have found our #1 vacationing spot the only downside is trying to choose where to stay next at Pirates Cove since the offerings are all so tempting.

We have been staying in Pirate's Cove for years and decided to give Marshes Light a try. The condo is fabulous, right down to the art on the walls! The location is superb- walking into Manteo makes the stay there extra nice. Being able to take our dog is a plus- she always vacations with us and loves the condo life! I can't wait for all the amenities to be done (pool, fitness center), and then - Perfection!!! Thanks so much to homeowner for renting to us and Dog!
