From the moment we began planning our trip to Costa Rica we received excellent advice and support from the concierge who helped us design a schedule of tours, activities and restaurants. The condo is so fabulous that it was tempting to stay put since we could sit comfortably on the balcony and enjoy great views of the ocean, monkeys. birds and the sunset. We explored Manuel antonio by hiking, kayaking and snorkeling. The nearby beaches were fantastic. But it was always a joy to come back to the comforts of this condo. Every detail is thoughtful and impressive from the well appointed kitchen to the best mattress ever! That the condo also overlooks the spectacular pool and has easy access to an excellent restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner is an added bonus.

AtlantaRelaxing Vacation by the Ocean
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My mom and I spent a week in this fabulous condo that has breath-taking ocean and sunset views. The master bedroom is more like a suite, with king-size bed, couch, desk, huge walk-in closet area, and bathroom. The private balcony overlooks the pool.
The kitchen, living room, and dining room area are also extremely nice. Updated kitchen with granite countertops and SS appliances (if you like that kind of thing). Tv with cable (some channels have English shows - HBO, WB, Fox...etc.) and internet service. The balcony off the living room area has patio furniture as well and looks out over the pool and the ocean and the surrounding area.
Kitchen has dishes and everything you will need while staying there and can be stocked with groceries by the concierge prior to your arrival. The other bedroom is almost as big as the main bedroom (just missing the couch/desk/sitting area) and a smaller closet and bathroom. Still with a king bed and patio that overlooks the pool.
The condo was very clean. The complex is very peaceful even with the pool being down below. The views are gorgeous. The concierge was great. Everything seems to deliver to the condo (including pharmacy items) and the restaurant at the complex was very good and great service.
You are close enough to get to many things in Manuel antonio and to Quepos and there are plenty of options to eat either by delivery or by venturing out to surrounding areas (other hotels, etc.)
The best part - the pool. Very relaxing. Pool side service.
Great vacation and great place to stay! -

We rented this condo for 9 days in March 2013. The condo is ideal for a family stay. We were very comfortable and the condo is very spacious. We felt comfortable and safe here. The view is spectacular! The location is near Manuel antonio and we were able to enjoy many restaurants in the area. We did order in one evening and did not have problems with that. The gate staff were wonderful as well as the restaurant/bar staff. The pool was also a great place to end the day.

Left on 12/02/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our faimly loved this place, it tranquility, views from the balconies, space. Weather was good most of the days, and since we visited at the end of rainy season we did have only a couple of rainy days. The rest of the week it was sunny 83-86 degrees. Even during the rain you can go outside and visit national park or go ziplining. This is what we have done and being in a rainforest you don't care about rain, it is so beautiful and mesmerizingly green. If you visit on Thanksgiving week crowds are still weeks away and you will have the whole hotel almost to yourselves. We recommend visiting coffee shop at intersection of main road and the road hotel is on. Restaurant in the hotel is pretty good if you dont want to venture to town. Road to the place is pretty steep so if you renting a car be careful. True about most of Manuel antonio though, so we recommend taking taxis, it is $8-10 to any destination in town. There is a beach near the hotel, you need to walk through a forest for about 5 minutes, and once you get there the view is breathtaking!

Clinton, TNFabulous week in Manuel antonio! Outstanding Condo!
Left on 11/27/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful condo in Costa Rica, along with my adult son and his fiancé. We were aware this was the "rainy season", but our timing had us arriving in ma the same week "Hurricane Sandy" was delivering 15 inches of rain!! We seriously considered changing our destination at the last minute to assure a "sunnier" venture, but the minute we stepped into the condo it was love at first sight - rain or shine!! We knew immediately we had made the right choice! Each bedroom was a master suite with its own private full bathroom and everything was extremely clean and comfortable. Having a laundry room available was a real perk, especially with the rainy weather, as we didn't have to take wet clothes home. There are three balconies and the views are just spectacular, so be sure to take binoculars! We walked to the beach closest to the condo several times and loved it! The water was perfect temperature and the sand was clean...it was postcard material complete with monkeys playing in the nearby trees! Next trip, we will take some inexpensive blow up floats for the beach and leave them behind when we are done. The path to the beach was steep and a real workout for us, but taking the trail slowly and admiring the wildlife along the way helped. We did not rent a car and in hindsight, I wish we had. Many reviews spoke of tough driving situations but that really didn't seem to be the case. This meant we had to take a taxi anytime we went to town, but they were very accessible and inexpensive, just not as convenient as having our own car; parking at the condo was ample. I use reviews extensively for our travels and certainly feel that a helpful review should include any shortcomings, but we just can't think of a thing we would change about the condo; it was perfect for us. My biggest regret is that we didn't take our grandchildren! We thank the Davids for sharing their home and Estela and Kent for their warm and welcoming hospitality!

Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We had the most wonderful stay in this condo and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The location of the condo was ideal; everything is within walking distance or a short car ride away. The condo layout was perfect and the view from every room/ balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed our meals outside on the balcony while watching the monkeys and beautiful surrounding tropical scenery.
From the first entrance to this beautiful apartment it was evident that the owners have invested time and money to make it an unforgettable experience to anyone. No single item in this condo was overlooked: the quality of bedding and towels was superb; snorkeling equipment was also available for our use; even the glass coasters are placed perfectly. You should not dismiss the free fruit and package of local coffee that welcomes every guest. The owners took time to send us a list of their favourite local restaurants and tours, tips for the travel and "must see" places. It was almost as if we visited a dear friend and got the privilege to explore a new city with locals. -

My focus in this review is The Pacific Souss Condos #320. Without an expection this property has it all - view (ocean and mountains), location, appropriate furnishings, security and an owner (David Spivey) who not only takes pride in his property but also knows how to be the perfect host. The place is great.

We absolutely had a wonderful visit and would highly recommend The Ocean for anyone venturing to Manuel antonio. Staying here represented the perfect mix of comfort and tranquility to soak up the adventure and beauty of Costa Rica. We would have been happy to spend the majority of our visit on the porch viewing beautiful sunsets, sailboats in the ocean and wildlife in the trees below us, but we were also able to easily hop around the restaurant and activity scene in Manuel antonio. We look forward to returning again in the future!

This is the perfect place for a vacation that combines rest and relaxation as well as fun and adventure. The owners provide tons of helpful information and recommendations about the area. The property manager schedules tours, makes excellent recommendations, and is generally helpful, gracious, and friendly. (He scheduled several tours for us.) The condo itself is comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located, within walking distance of two beautiful beaches as well as several restaurants, but still set apart down the hill, away from the bustle of the main strip. And only a short ride away from the amazing national park. The pool is lovely - we visited it every day. And we spent hours out on the condo's fantastic balconies, sipping Costa Rican coffee, looking out on the Pacific, and bird- and monkey-watching in the jungle areas below. We will highly recommend this beautiful condo and location to all of our family and friends!

I, my wife, my best friend and his girlfriend stayed at this property for a long weekend. David coordinated our arrival and everything went smoothly. Estella was extremely helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. The condo was amazing. All of the accommodations were top notch, the view was wonderful (three different patios) and the location was amazing. Right behind the property is a private beach that offers an easy place to relax and enjoy your surroundings. The condo offered a lot of space and is perfect for a couple's getaway or a family vacation. I would highly recommend this to anyone who was interested in visiting Manuel antonio.
During our trip, we road atvs, zip lined, and repelled down a waterfall!! To say the least, Manuel antonio offers a number of adventure opportunities. Amazing trip and amazing condo

We knew the condo was going to be nice, but we were blown away when we walked in and saw the view above the rainforest canopy & straight out to the Pacific. We experienced some beautiful sunsets at "Happy Hour" from the main deck. Everything in the condo is first class, plush and well stocked. The master suite is so spacious, the shower is huge, so is the closet area and there's even a loveseat and reading area. There are three decks & all have ceiling fans. The kitchen has everything you could need including a dang good blender! Estela should be the poster girl for Tico hospitality and generosity. She guided us to the best restaurants, best tour guide at map, made us amazing pico/guac & smoked trout dip, and escorted us about 45 minutes away to a local stream with several natural pools & waterfalls. She elevated our ma experience from great to off the chart!! Estela is a tremendous resource and we recommend that you tap into her local expertise and genuine love for her homeland of CR. We stayed pretty active cayaking & snokeling from the little beach below, running & walking at ma public beach, and hiking/exploring map. We got up close & personal with several monkeys, slothes, tucans, crockodiles, etc. If you're a foodie, you'll love ma. Ma's restaurant scene is very competitive and varied. We had several incredible meals with views that were to die for. Thanks to David for the wonderful directions & informational package. It was extreemly helpful in getting us to ma and the best restaurants, shopping and excursions. The guest book was an excellent resource as well. David, thanks again for sharing this wonderful condo with us. We've travelled all over Hawaii and the Carribean in search of paradise. Pretty sure we found it right here. Can't wait to come back. Until then, Pura Vida!

We did a lot of research to find the perfect place to stay in the area and I think we found it with this lovely condo. It is clean, spacious with a gorgeous view of the rain forest and ocean. It is in a great location...close to all the great restaurants in Manuel antonio and the national park...and most importantly within walking distance to Biesantz Beach. It has a beautiful pool in the complex that is never too crowded as well as a restaurant on-site if you don't want to go too far for a bite to eat. We loved having the convenience of a kitchen and laundry in our unit...something you wouldn't get at a hotel. Also super helpful is all the information David sends you before your visit and the attention you get from Estelle the concierge at the condo when you get there. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone!

What a beautiful condo - well appointed furnishings, spacious and clean, convenient location, great pool and helpful onsite service. Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This condo is amazing. It is situated on hills above the sea so you get a wonderful view of the sea from the kitchen, the main balcony and the two balconies off the bedrooms. The condo is immaculate, well maintained and all the comforts (if not more) than home. May family (two adults and two teenage boys) had a great time. We relaxed on the balcony listening to the howler monkeys and swam in the pool (just below the condo) after a day of site seeing. Estela, who is the on site manager, goes out of her way to make sure that you have a great visit. For no charge, she arranges tours, car rentals, fishing etc. (Please tip her for her services - she is wonderful.)
The condo has a washer and dryer so pack lightly. Everything in the condo is very clean. The owners are not cheap when it comes to stocking the condo. The are plenty of towels (all nice and fluffy - non of those thread bare towels you see in some rentals); the furniture is very nice and overall the entire condo is lovely. You really feel at home when you stay there. I would not hesitate to rent this place again. Do rent a car - Estela will set it up for you and the car company (Adobe) will bring the car to you and pick it up when you are done. Couldn't be easier and driving there is really not as scary as some lead you to believe. Have fun! -

Goshen, INLuxury condo with great ocean view
Left on 04/14/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is a high end luxury condo. It is located on a hillside which allows for a great view of the ocean. I think the pictures make it appear that the ocean is further away than it really is when you see it in person.
The condo is well appointed, with luxury bathrooms, walk-in closet, kitchen, and beautiful furniture. You will not be disappointed in this unit, which is located in an area of other high end condos and hotels. I cannot think of one negative about this condo.
The unit has snorkels and fins for when you go to the ocean. There are lots of activities available in the area.
This area has a number of wonderful choices for restaurants, although it is reflected in the cost. Make sure you go to LaMariposa. The food is mediocre, but it has the greatest view I have ever seen and our waiter was great. Kapi Kapi has great food and is in a beautiful setting. Fruit is available from fruit stands in Quepos at cheap prices, and we made smoothies every day.
I should also mention the wildlife. We saw sloths in the trees outside the condo one day. Another day, we were entertained by monkeys climbing and jumping through the trees. One monkey in particular came to the trees closest to the pool area, and we loved watching him climb and jump from tree to tree while the birds tried to shoo him off.
The pool at the condo is great. The temperature is just right, and it was never busy. We never had a problem getting a lounge chair or bed.
You'll love this place! -

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Costa Rica and we were glad we located this condo. The condo is beautiful, great views, clean, good location, and very peaceful. We enjoyed watching the monkeys from the balcony. The owner is very professional, provides good tips on the area, and very helpful-. Also, the concierge (Samuel) is great. He is very knowledgeable about the area, makes great recommendations for activities and restaurants. He sets up the tours for you and really helps you to learn the area and feel relaxed. The condo is surrounded by the top hotels (all of of which on on unpaved road) in the area but the condo is well worth it because you will feel like you are coming home each day. I would recommend to others and we look forward to returning.

July 7, 2008 My son, his wife, and two children, aged 7 and 9, and Nana (myself) spent an absolutely wonderful week in this beautiful condo. It was so much fun to watch my grandchildren get so excited about every new animal they discovered - hermit crabs, sloths, monkeys, caymans, iguanas and beautiful birds. The condo was perfect for us; it is tastefully furnished, without being fussy, and very comfortable. The balconies from each room allow you to enjoy the breath taking nature surrounding the condos and we particularly enjoyed watching the sun go down while having a margarita and some home-made guacamole. By-the-way, the kitchen is very well appointed and even a gourmet cook would be happy to use it. All five of us loved the swimming-pool and the proximity of the beach. The condo manager was extremely helpful in arranging outings, such as horseback riding, mangrove boat trips, etc. The condo meets the highest standards and I will recommend it to all my friends.

We arrived very late after a long day of traveling to be met by Estela, who might be the quintessential property manager. She walked us thru every detail of the unit to ensure our comfort. The unit was beautiful. It was nicely decorated, immaculate and the best of everything. The kitchen was fully stocked. There wasn't anything that we needed wasn't there. You can take comfort in knowing that you can cook gourmet meals in this kitchen. All of the rooms were more spacious than they appeared in the pictures. The service was great. It was centrally located. The view was spectacular. Will definitely return to this paradise.

We spent 10 days in this fabulous condo in January 2012 and it was perfect. The facility is new and beautifully appointed. Each bedroom had its own en-suite bath and balcony which gave everyone the privacy and space they needed. Tremendous ocean views from all rooms, and a great, well-stocked kitchen. It feels very remote yet wonderful restaurants are within a mile of the condo. The restaurant at the adjoining Suu Hotel is handy and delicious. And who could resist the adorable white-faced monkey family that visited everyday? My only regret was not renting a car. Taxis don't always cruise that area because the road dead-ends at the Parador Hotel below, and it was inconvenient (and a little pricey) calling for a car all the time.

We had a wonderful time staying at your great condo. The place was immaculate, had a wonderful view, and was easily the nicest place we stayed in all of Costa Rica. We enjoyed the infinity edge pool and the onsite restaurant. The chef prepared the yellowfin tuna we had caught in the morning and made a wonderful three courses from it. It was certainly the best meal that we ate in Costa Rica. We were entertained by the howler and white faced monkeys that played in the trees, as well as the iguanas and toucans. The grounds were impecably maintained and the staff very helpful. I would definitely recommend the condo to anyone visiting Manuel antonio.

We so enjoyed the balconies, views of the water and monkeys in the trees. The owners and manager were so helpful in sorting out any issues we had and made our stay so fulfilling. This condo is absolutely beautiful. It certainly exceeded our expectations and was perfect for two couples. Not only was it lovely and comfortable, it afforded us plenty of private space while enabling us to share common spaces relaxing together, watching monkeys play, and discussing our plans for the day over breakfast and a cup of coffee or recapping our experiences over a glass of wine. Estela is delightful and was always willing to assist with whatever we needed. The location was great, with many good restaurants close by and was close to Manuel antonio National Park. We also explored Carara National Park and a privately owned preserve (but worth mentioning) Hacienda Baru. Needless to say, the wildlife is spectacular and abundant. David provided a lot of helpful information for finding our way around the area, as well as, restaurant recommendations which we appreciated. Our only regret is that we stayed only one week...we should have stayed at least two!

The nearby beach is lovely and quiet, and the pool is large enough for a real swim.

There are wonderful restaurants, bars, beaches all so close. The condo is in great shape, looks just as advertised. It is clean and modern. Had a few warm days, so the air conditioning was fantastic. We travelled with 6 people, and the condo was a good size for us all. Sam and Leanne who take care of the place there are also very friendly and easy to talk to. They set up several tours and surf lessons for our group. We spoke on the phone several times, and offered great tips and ideas for our trip. It was very comforting to know we had someone there who was looking out for us. The condo is near a little private beach and just a couple miles to the State Park where there are several larger beaches, and a good place to surf. There is an infinity pool in the complex which felt like our own private pool. The Hotel shares the pool, and the staff were also very hospitable, bringing fresh fruit on sticks (very fresh and delicious). Overall, we had an amazing time. Would highly recommend the aTV tour and sunset at the Mariposa. Looking forward to coming back again and would love to stay in the same condo. Really exceptional. Thanks for a great trip.
