Beautiful place,, Alex was wonderful and everyone who worked there, Jimmy the night guard was so nice as well. The Pool is the best part of this house very clean and great view , The house is set up kind of strange, The master bedroom is the best in the house, the other rooms you have to enter from out side and at night past ten you need your key to enter the house..Which was the only down side. The monkeys were great and the views were fantastic The whole place is so pretty Manuel is wonderful and the people are so friendly. For the price this is a good place to rent.

This was a great house that I would not hesitate to recommend. It was by far the best place that we stayed at in Costa Rica and just an amazing place in general. It was a couple of miles from the beaches, and a little walk(3/4 mile) from the main road where you could catch a bus, and the road to it was pretty sketchy, but everything else was great. The rooms were spread out over 4 floors, so it would not be great for a family that didn't either all sleep together or one that had young children that still needed to be taken care of at night, but it would be great for a family with teenagers or a great big party of multiple families, as it was huge, spread out and a great place to forget you were in paradise and just stay at the house all day.
I have to say, I was pretty nervous about renting a big house in a foreign country and wasn't too confident that I was going to have a place to put my family when we got there, but alex, the property manager was fantastic. everything was exactly as he said, the house was cleaned every day by his wife, who was great. It was amazing in that he was more of a concierge than a property manager. I needed a zipline tour, he arranged it. Drs. office visit, done. Great time, great house. Nothing not to like. Pura Vida. -

Rented this house with a group of friends and had the time of my life. I felt like I was in an episode of the Real World but with an excellent cleaning and security staff. The house was comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Las VegasGreat Rental for a Large Group
Left on 08/28/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our group had 5 couples and Villa Grande had more than enough space for everyone. The five rooms ensured each couple had their own private space. On top of that there were lots of places to hang out as a group. We hung out by the pool a few times, the living room when we wanted to just relax, and we even hung out on the top floor where there is a BBQ and a large table.

Dallas TxVilla Grande- what a perfect place!!
Left on 03/27/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Villa Grande is the perfect getaway for a group of adults! The house is located about a 5 minute cab ride from Manuel antonio down a winedy jungle road. Villa Grande is one of the last houses on the road and truly is a piece of paradise.
The house is laid out to give adults privacy while supplying many gathering areas. The master suite on the top floor has stunning views of the entire valley and is accompanied by a dining/bar area for dinners and late night fun. We ate every homemade dinner in this area and watched magical sunsets before going to dinner at Manuel antonio's many wonderful restaurants including El'Avon and Café Aqua azul.
The 3rd floor kitchen, breakfast area, and living room provided a great escape from the morning sun as we made breakfast in the fully stocked and roomy kitchen. The wildlife is at your fingertips on this all glass floor as you peer into the trees around the property. The only need in this area and the pool area is an ice machine.
Villa Grande's best asset is definitely the pool area. The pool was the perfect temperature and has areas for sitting in the water, lounging in floats and a swim up bar. We were greeted by iguanas each morning and by our own tribe of spider monkeys each afternoon. A sloth even made an appearance one night in one of the huge trees next to the pool area. The views from the infinity wall of the pool give a wilderness feel as you gaze into the valley and see all the way to the coastline.
The remaining bedrooms on the 1st & 2nd floors are spacious and comfortably furnished for midday naps and evenings in.

My husband and I stayed here, loving every minute of it! The view is absolutely gorgeous, the location premium, and the value spectacular. We definitely want to go back soon and are recommending Casa Castillo to all our friends.
