The beautiful Beach House is one of only 3 homes located DIRECTLY on Manuel Antonio Beach. The sand is only steps away! The house is only minutes away from beach amenities such as para-sailing, banana boating, surf lessons, boogie board and surf board rentals, convenience and liquor store, many little shops and restaurants as well as artisan stalls. The Manuel Antonio National Park is only a short walk away.

We were 3 couples traveling together. The location of the beach house was fantastic, with beach access right out your back door and easy walking to restaurants and stores either along the beach or the road. The beach outside the house was very quiet, but, if you wanted a little more action and activities a 5 minute walk to the left and it was all there. While the house was nicely appointed the beds were not very comfortable. The other thing missing at this house was an outdoor dining table. We did have a few 'monkey shows' when we were there and that was really neat. watching them swing from tree to tree and even drinking from the pool. We were also lucky enough to see a sloth walking along one of the monkey bridges, which was awesome. The housekeeper was there daily and was wonderful, always helpful with information and kept the house looking great at all times.

Without a doubt, this was our best family vacation ever. This was our first time renting a home as opposed to staying at an all inclusive resort. We have 3 children ages 5, 8, and 10 and we also brought their grandparents along. Highlights:
- Daily visits from the monkeys in our backyard
- Footsteps from a beautiful white sandy beach (great for morning/evening jogs or just building sand castles)
- Several sitings of sea turtles crossing the beach to nest its eggs
- Daily impeccable maid service (which included personal laundry)
- Personal gourmet chef (Desiree, we miss you!) that customized our meals to perfection
- A super helpful and accommodating concierge (Thank you Susan) that made check in / check out & excursion booking absolutely smooth
- Property nestled in coconut trees to give a secluded feeling while still easily accessible to the heart of Manuel antonio
- Access to phenomenal zip-lining, jungle buggy tour (www.vacationbuggy.com), horseback riding, white water rafting, ATV tours, parasailing
- An overall phenomenal vacation experience - How much did the children enjoy it? Given the choice to return to The Beach House in Costa Rica or go back to Disney World, they unanimously chose The Beach House! It's a wonderful vacation destination with the perfect environment to enjoy quality family time and build lifelong, treasurable memories. Perfect blend of eco-adventure & relaxation. We are already looking at dates to return.

We were 3 couples travelling together. Two of the couples could not walk far to get to a beach. This house was perfectly located because it is on the beach, yet secluded thanks to the gardens and meandering paths to both the beach and the road. The house is beautifully designed and furnished. The kitchen has everything. The beds are firm but comfortable. The service from Susan (the conscierge appointed by the rental company) was extraordinary. The maid service was excellent, discrete and efficient and friendly. What I liked best was the ability to come back to the house for supper, then go outside with a drink and watch the magnificent sunset on the beach or watch the monkeys on the property (happened only once, unfortunately). I hope to go back. Everything was wonderful.

I am not one to throw out superlatives. My wife and I travel all over the world and sometimes accommodations suck. Check my review of some places in africa... lol
Our goal was to spend Christmas in a warm place on the beach and just chill. This place totally met that goal. If your are thinking about a "beach" house in Costa Rica, please understand that there are very few rental homes that are really on the beach, maybe 6. Most of the "beach" homes require you to be a mountain goat to climb up and down a cliff to get to the beach. This house requires you to open the patio door and walk 40 yards on soft sand to reach one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.
We had the beach to ourselves almost everyday. We would sit there and count the people we could see in either direction, average count was 7. We got a good laugh because the house manager told use that the beach would be crowded on Christmas day, apparently "crowded" in Manuel antonio means less than 50 people scattered along almost a mile of beach. I have video to prove it... lol. Oh i guess they have their busy days but we certainly did not see one in the 9 days we were there.
If you rent this place you must be prepared to :
1. walk along the beach to a village to buy your groceries or go to a restaurant.
2. have privacy but also the ability to access virtually every activity Costa Rica has to offer.
3. have daily maid / laundry / gardener/ guard.
4. go into Quepos and buy some fresh fish right off the boat for the BBQ.
If I were to try and come up with a complaint it, I would say the bedding could have been softer. I slept fine but was trying to balance the review the best I could.
This trip we took our daughters and my brother and his wife. Everyone had a great time. Susan did a great job arranging the activities. Everything was flawless.
Next time it will be just my wife and I. -

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Manuel aantonio at Villa 3 and the accomodations were excellent! The property had easy access to the beach the grocery store and shops. The restaurants around the area have excellent food and service. The locals are very friendly and hospitable. The villa was very well maintained and had its own private security along with a beautiful pool. We had regular visits from the monkeys and hummingbirds. We will definitely be back again!

This was a very memorable family holiday/reunion for retirement age siblings. The house is luxurious and on arrival immediately gave the impression that we were to enjoy an exceptional vacation. Maid service was outstanding and the one catered party we asked for was done very well. The property which opens onto the beautiful sandy beach is the perfect setting for the house and gave a change from lounging around the private pool. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance made car rental almost unnecessary; 24 hour security was also a comfort.
Although the price is more than I would normally pay for a vacation it was well worth the money.
