San Clemente, CaliforniaNice, but you may get robbed!
Left on 06/19/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Wonderful place to stay initially. Lovely property and well manacured. However, on the last night we were there someone broke in to the house and robbed us. The big problem I have with this is that there is a white german shepard that patrolls the property and barks when people are near the gate. Whoever robbed us was able to get in and out of the house with out the dog making a peep. It had to be an inside job, or one of the neighbors. The major items taken were an acer Computer, my prescription sun glasses,a back pack, a pair of hiking boots, and my camera with three cards that contained over 2500 family photos from the last 6 years. I did not have the photos on the cards backed up, as I didn't know how to do it at the time. I know now that it is very simple now. The photos being lost is what really makes me sick.
I had read on line to be weary of the homes on the hills between Quepos and Manuel antonio, but figured we would be fine.
I am really appreciative that the robber didn't go after anyone in the down stairs bedrooms. They didn't get any money, so I suppose that since we only lost personal items, we should feel very fortunate. -

Orginally we were planning a yoga retreat and that was canceled so we started looking into other options and stumbled across this amazing home. We worked with a booking agent that helped us secure the home chef and yoga instructor. She also secured all of our excursions away from the Casa. This a slice of heaven on earth with spectacular views of the ocean, 10 acres of land to explore. Squirrel monkeys reside on the property as well as the care takers dogs who gret us each morning and upon or return in the afternoons. We feel safe and the art collection of the owner is truly amazing. It would accommodate 8-10 people comfortably but there are only 3 of us and it is great...

Valparaiso, INOne Night at Casa Nova
Left on 08/22/2011 for a stay in August 2011
I had the wonderful opportunity of spending the day at Casa Nova recently, at it made a huge impression on me. A close friend of the owner threw a birthday party barbecue here, and since I was in town, I got the opportunity to visit the birthday girl, my good friend, at this beautiful house. The pictures really don't do it justice. The decorations are stunning, the marble stairway leading upstairs is so cool, and the pool area is absolutely fantastic. The barbecue mostly took place by the pool area. There's a little casita down there with a grill, counter space, and a sink. There's also a covered area with nice long table, and on the other side of the pool there's a day bed and a bathroom. The pool is awesome! There's a little waterfall that you can jump from and a jacuzzi. The grounds at this house are spectacular. You are completely surrounded by jungle and wildlife. I even got the chance to spend the night here, and I enjoyed a super comfortable bed with a private bathroom. It's so quiet at night. I slept extremely peacefully. All in all, I had a great time at this house. It was really a one of a kind experience.

This house is truly incredible. Came here with my brother, best friend, and brother-in-law (to be) to celebrate my upcoming marriage. Had a fantastic time. The house grounds are massive and there is wildlife everywhere! You can even feed the monkeys. The maids were great, our private chef cooked some delicious traditional Costa Rican food. Got a deep sea fishing charter and reeled in some massive catches. Tuna and sailfish. Our chef even cooked some of it for us.
Also, the house has some really cool views. From the top, you can see all the way to the ocean. Really cool decoration too. All in all, the best bachelor party imagineable. -

Beaufort, South CarolinaMost amazing Vacation Ever!
Left on 06/25/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We just returned from a 6 night stay at Casa Nova in Manuel antonio, Costa Rica. It was amazing!! The house is extremely private and the views are spectacular. Our group consisted of 8 adults. Each bedroom was very private and each couple had their own bathroom. The pool and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the frequent visits from the local group of howler monkeys.
This was our first time rented a home for vacation in a foreign country and honestly now I cannot imagine vacationing any other way!! We loved the privacy our group had and the location allowed easy access to the park and other activities.
We used Escape Villas to book the vacation and they were also very easy to work with. I highly recommend hiring a private chef. Chef Guido was fantastic!
We cannot wait to return to Costa Rica and when we do, we will stay at Casa Nova again! -

Casa Nova is a beautiful place. The grounds are massive, the wildlife is lush, and the monkeys visit daily. My husband and I greatly enjoyed the gorgeous master bedroom, and our two sons and their families enjoyed the home as well. The grandkids had a blast in the private pool, and the views from the upper levels of the house were divine. This home is also beautifully decorated throughout. We had a wonderful vacation here.

Stayed here with two friends mainly for a sportfishing trip. The fishing was fantastic indeed! However, this house was equally excellent. Massive grounds, lots of wildlife, excellent staff. The private chef was great. Monkeys every day. Really unique decorating. All in all, a great vacation. Manuel antonio beach is cool too, but we mostly spent time in the private pool. This place is like a castle.

Booked this through an agency on the basis of extensive grounds. Six of us staying (it will sleep eight). Friends were keen bird/animal enthusiasts and the grounds sounded great. Well, they were, but what blew us away was the house as well. Just beautiful. The owner came by while we were there and is a larger-than-life character and great fun. The wonderful Yasmin, housekeeper and superstar, pampered us, cooked for us when we didn't feel like cooking, and generally made the stay wonderful. Don Manuel, the groundsman, brought us coconuts for their milk and helped us feed the wild monkeys in the grounds. Gorgeous rooms (especially the first floor master suite - cheat at the coin-toss if you have to to make sure you get it), awesome pool, fantastic grounds, super people. The photos on the webiste and on Trip advisor still don't do it justice. The local supermarket will deliver and charges store prices plus a couple of dollars for delivery. Great after a tiring day on the beach. If you can negotiate a 'deal' on the price, great, but even so, between eight, it's a steal. It's a short drive from the villa to the beaches, but I found it an effort to leave my palatial residence for the beach. Posting a review this enthusiastic makes it sound like I work for the place, but I promise it's exactly as I say.

What a fantastic week in paradise! This villa is so gorgeous and spacious. We felt like we were vacationing at a Costa Rican Estate! We spent the majority of our days circled around the pool, sipping cocktails while catching up on all the family gossip (some of us tried to read)! At night, we pretty much did the same thing except in the jacuzzi instead of in the pool! Thanks for sharing your beautiful villa with us!
