Villa LunaTica -

Perched on a steep tropical hill-side above the Pacific Ocean, just minutes north of famous Manuel Antonio National Park, this stunning architectural gem showcases an inspired modern spin on Jungle Geometry: The Villa's spine - 2 immense almond beams - is supported by a double row of massive columns that march through the tri-level 'great room' to a panoramic window-wall, marking the increase in ceiling height from 14 - 24 feet, as the space steps down. From the entrance porch, strikingly sculptured stairs either levitate to a lofty mezzanine and further up to the master suite and sun-deck above, or widen as they flow down to the kitchen/dining level and the living room below - always inviting to double as seating. The vast floor-to-ceiling glass facade opens to a water-edged living terrace shaded by 3 smartly suspended sails, while high cedar doors attend the side-wing-suite on the right side of the living room level.

LunaTica was designed to be in tune with its tropical landscape - open to the sea breezes, the scent of ylang ylang trees and the ever-changing light of its rainforest environment. Rooms extend onto expansive balconies, patios and hammock-strung terraces, while the magnificent infinity pool is carved into the hillside and embedded in lush tropical vegetation - shimmering sea views from everywhere - Extreme Comfort Zones !

A haven completely calm and serene contrasting the abundance of the jungle’s greenery - boldly simple in its furnishings and always sophisticated in its fusion of honest materials and textures - concrete, steel, glass, slate, flagstone and plenty of local hard-woods.

LOCATION

We are located in the best area of Manuel Antonio right between Hotels "Si Como No" and "Costa Verde" - Villa LunaTica (+ Guest-House) are built into the steep coast side, overlooking the northern part of the main beach, fabulous ocean views with an island right in the middle. To get to the beach is 3/4 of a mile down our coastal road which puts you into the center part of it and then dead-ends after another 1/4 mile at the entrance of famous Manuel Antonio National Park. The park continues south with more white sand beaches, also romantic "Playa Biesanz" is just a little north. Many of Manuel Antonio's best restaurants and cafes are within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance of our driveway (about 10!), smaller stores and a good super market are within a mile. Quepos has many more restaurants, fresh food/fish markets, supermarkets, boutiques, bars and everything else.

For up to 12 guests we add Villa LunaTica's Guest-House, rates for both houses are:

High Season ......... $950 /night (4 nights minimum)
Mid Season .......... $825 /night (4 nights minimum)
Low Season .......... $700 /night (4-night minimum)
Christmas Week ..... $7,000
New Years Week ... $10,500

All Rates INCLUDE taxes and fees.
Deposits: 50% to book, balance due 60 days prior to date of occupancy (90% refundable only if re-booked for same time).
Security Deposit: $1,000 - $1,300 due one week before arrival. Fully refundable.
Check-in after 2 PM, check-out before 10 AM

No children under 8 years preferred (call to discuss!)

  We had a great time during a weeklong vacation in Manuel antonio. The home was In good condition. Beautiful view and convenient to national park, restaurants and activities. The owners were easy to work with and the house manager, Thomas, was there to assist in Costa Rica. We saw sloths,monkeys, iguanas and birds all from the patio. The hammocks are great place to relax during an afternoon rain shower. Pool was clean. Wifi and tv worked well. Loved the privacy of the home, though a security guard and a maid are on the property.

  The Perfect Vacation

  Villa Lunatica is the perfect getaway. The views, the location, the vibe was all more than I expected.
  
  There are lots of amazing vacation rentals in Costa Rica but the special thing about this one is the architecture and the close attention to detail. The managers are there for you at any time. One morning at a jet lagged 4:30 a.m. I sent an email requesting info about zip lining and received a response shortly thereafter. While there a friend had an issue at the guest house and management was there within minutes.
  
  And, the chef is far better than any of the restaurants in town.
  
  In short, I'll be back again, again, and again.
  
  Oh, I forgot to mention the daily massages out on the hammock balcony . . .

  This house is incredible! The views, the architecture, everything! We rented this house for our wedding week and had both my family and my husband's family all here with us. Ralf was very kind about giving us information about the house and then putting us in touch with Thomas, the house manager who truly was our saving grace! First of all he responded so quickly to all emails leading up to the trip and as you can imagine we had several trying to plan a wedding from so far away. Once we arrived, we met Thomas and Hazel who made us feel very welcome and made sure we were situated in the house before leaving us. They readily available forany question or issue that arose. The day of my wedding Thomas drove 30 miles outside of town to find tables for us so we could eat outside for the reception!!! Talk a out going over and beyond the call of duty!! The entire staff was incredible. And don't even think about renting this house without taking advantage of the chef!! Marisol and her husband were amazing! While we normally enjoy trying out restaurants on vacation, to satisfy the large group we had with us would have been very difficult and bery expensive! We still ate out a few meals but having someone show up with the food, which was incredible, and then clean up while you ate was vacationing at its best! I cannot say enough wonderful things about everyone we met here! Great staff! Great house! Great vacation!

  Spectacular view, the master apartment on the top is stunning. A pool 30 meters down in the subterrain towards the sea is like an oasis amidst the jungle hosting humming birds, monkeys and sloths all around...awesome!

  I absolutely love Manuel antonio, there is so much to do, so many interesting people, so many adventures to be had! But I also love feeling I have a private oasis to come home to - and that is nearly impossible to find in Manuel antonio with all the hotels, hostels, villas, inns, restaurants, bars, and shops! Yet right there, right in the heart of Manuel antonio, on top of the cliff but below the crowd, is a spectacular villa with every amenity, amazing service, and privacy beyond your dreams - the views are of jungle to the ocean and islands, the pool is yours and yours alone in a garden of unbelievable beauty, the home is nestled into a valley and is the last home on the road - you will not believe how close you are to all the action yet how far away it feels as you watch the sun set over what seems to be your private ocean. Wow. And then there is the house itself - it is so beautiful, it terraces down the hill and climbs above it, it has spectacular views from everywhere and yet is so beautiful itself it pulls you back in. It is so comfortable we never wanted to leave but so close to the action that we often did! The concierge is brilliant, the suggested tours beyond expectation, the overall quality of the experience absolutely top notch!
