We recently stayed at Eden Estate and were completely blown away by the property in all respects. Incredible house and I can't begin to say how unbelievable the views are in all directions. The house is so modern with amazing amenities; the balconies and pool are to die for. The house sits above the properties 60 acre rainforest, which has trails to explore and rivers that we swam in. There are Blue Morpho butterflies everywhere and when you sit up at the house, eagles and other birds of prey are constantly soaring around you. We saw Toucans and parrots in the mornings around the house and ate papaya from a tree on the property. The house is completely private, so no issues with noises other than that from nature which is everywhere. I have never experienced such a luxurious space in such a beautiful setting, The road in is actually excellent and everything in the house worked perfectly during our week long stay. Easy access to everything in the area; perfect location. The property is immaculately taken care of by a wonderful costa rican man who speaks perfect English and looked after us better than we could have imagined. We really appreciated the information the owner provided in advance and took advantage of many recommendations. An incredible stay at an unbelievable property, will definitely be back.

Need a good 4x4 to get to the house, but it's well worth it. This is unlike any other house we have stayed in. Modern designed home with beautiful pool, nice bedrooms, laundry, and amazing grounds. Only suggestions are that the house needs some comfortable furniture and the oven didn't work. No phone, Satellite TV, or Internet so it's a nice place to get away for a while. Access to all the tourist attractions requires a bit of driving, but it's worth it.

We just spent two weeks at this truly amazing house. The landscaping and the view is truly remarkable and is a must see to experience the awesome feeling of being so close to nature.
There was six of us and the house is more than comfortable for that many people. The house is very unique and very inviting. You are close enough to all activities that you want to take in and then can get away from the very busy areas and relax in the beautiful pool with such an extraordinary view at the house. Very close to great food, we had a party at the house with a local chef and the food was awesome and very affordable.
Renting a car is easy and the roads are good. There is an extremely nice and capable young man that cares for the house that will set you up with anything you need or want to do.
Staying at this property will be like nothing you have ever experienced. We all agreed this was the best vacation and location we have ever been to. Cannot wait to make this trip again! Highly recommend this for all ages. -

We just returned from Costa Rica and this house was everything we were hoping for and much more! Pictures here don't do it justice to the property. The view from the house is breathtaking and the house is stunning!!!
If you are looking for a secluded place away from roads and people, just to enjoy the nature and your family/friends - this is the perfect spot. You can even ask the property manager to arrange a cook to come over and cook for you local meals - we enjoyed those meals as much as the local restaurants, so would definitely recommend it if you don't feel like cooking or going out for a lunch/dinner.
We've traveled quite a bit and this property is truly unique. We enjoyed it so much, we're already planning when we are going to come back:) -

I have been to Eden Estates 3 times and would not dream of staying anywhere else. I loved the choice of being remote, or getting in my car and being only 25 min. away from the most popular tourist attractions in CR.
The 1st time I stayed at Eden Estates, I experienced all the tourist attractions. Now, however, I like to go to get away from the world. I have done a lot of travelling in my life and I don't know where else in the world you can go to see such incredible views and experience such tranquility. Such tranquility yet so alive!
I enjoyed watching distance lightning storms and I already miss the misty mornings. Sometimes, if I awoke in the middle of the night, I was amazed at the light of the moon. It gets dark early in Costa Rica but no need to worry, the early sunsets are gorgeous. Sadly, most of the beauty at Eden Estates cannot be captured on camera. It has to be experienced in person.
I am so impressed that the people have such great respect for the life in the forest and that they completely accept that they live in the animals' world and not the other way around. If you are open to learning, the Costa Ricans are most happy to educate you with respect to the animals and the vegetation in the forest. As a result, I am no longer scared. I now know that nothing will hurt me and in fact, most things run away from me. Once you realize that, the creatures become very interesting and bring yet another unbelievable experience to your vacation.
The house itself is immaculate and very well kept. It has every amenity you have at home and the caretakers are most anxious to make you feel comfortable and to help you with your every need.
I am looking forward to visiting Eden Estates again in 2013.

Stunning property and location. My boyfriend and I spent a week here -- reading, cooking, taking walks around the property, swimming -- it's the perfect place to unwind. (Plus there were amazing lightning storms in the evenings.) While there's no phone or internet (though both may be provided for a fee, upon request), it was easy to book our excursions (rafting, ziplining etc) by going into Quepos or using the free wi-fi at one of the many little restaurants in town. The caretaker is very friendly and helpful, as is Steve, the owner of the property. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the house to the main road (and, to affirm the comments of other reviewers, you definitely do need an SUV), but driving anywhere in Costa Rica seems to take a while so this was a very small inconvenience. The privacy and the opportunity to experience the pristine hills and rainforest was more than worth it. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are a number of well-stocked supermarkets within a short drive for all your culinary needs. Note that it can get a bit hot: the house is filled with windows, which is awesome, but there's no central air (though there is a/C in the bedrooms). This didn't bother us much but could be important to some. Otherwise, a great value and a great experience overall.

This home is about 15 minutes from the town of Quepos. You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the property. But once you are there get ready to experience Magnificence! Magnificent views no matter where you stand on the property or from whichever room you are in in the house. The house is amazing and well furnished with all of your needs. Beautiful flowers and landscaping all around the house and a pool that will blow you away. It runs through the middle of the house. Very helpful concierge just down the road for any needs you might have. Magnificent sunsets, mountain and ocean views. We have stayed in several vacation homes in Costa Rica. This one takes the cake!

Absolute Heaven

Highly recommended... a remote paradise that is only about 10 minutes from the main road. Easy access to Manuel antonio Park, shopping, great restaurants, local activities. Fantastic pool, gourmet kitchen, killer views from all bedrooms and living areas. Located on a large tract of private land. Recommend a sturdy vehicle for parts of the road in, but should be accessible at all times. All amenities are included plus a great caretaker if anything should require attention. Would be best suited for small groups and responsible adults as this is an upper-end home with fine amenities. Once you get here, you won't want to leave!

Looking for a place to stay, we wanted to find a nice home, with all the modern amenities (A/C in bedrooms was a must), away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life. Eden Estate was absolutely perfect. It's a gorgeous home (modern architecture, lots and lots of windows) and offers all you need while on vacation. It sits on top of a hill and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It's idyllic and quiet -- no "man-made" noises -- only sounds of nature (birds, frogs, bugs, etc.). We were five adults (husband, sister-in-law, our two 23-year-old twins, and me) and the home accommodated us all very comfortably. From previous trips to Costa Rica, we would never consider renting a vehicle that's not a four-wheel drive. And I don't believe there's any way you could get there without it. The last couple of kilometers to the house are steep and pretty rough. Steve, the owner, was very responsive from the first time I contacted him and was a pleasure to deal with. He always answered all our questions and offered lots of valuable information and advice. The home was all we imagined ... and much more. Being an avid photographer, I couldn't take enough pictures of the property, the beautiful scenery and all the different plants, flowers and the creatures that would come by for a visit. If you're looking for something within walking distance to restaurants, shops and "nightlife," you will need to stay somewhere else. However, all the must-do adventures while in the area (such as Manuel antonio National Park, ziplining, beaches, horseback riding, shopping, great restaurants, etc.) are only minutes away by car. One morning, I went on a little hike on the property which was breathtaking--because of both the gorgeous and serene scenery, but also because it literally took my breath away because I was getting some great exercise (no need to look for a place with a gym)! So if you want seclusion, privacy and stunning scenery -- this is probably the best place you can find. I think of our stay at Eden Estate as having gotten a glimpse of what Heaven might be like. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!
