Evanston, il USASuperb stay for three generations
Left on 05/10/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The Vila Vigia was huge and very tastefully appointed. The many porches overlooked fabulous views, including several times large groups of swinging monkeys. The pool was large and warm, usually occupied by our young grandkids plus adults beginning at 6am. Each night an excellent chef and assistant from nearby Tulemar created a multi-course dinner ordered the previous day, served outdoors at a poolside table, complete with an explanation on meal preparation. Concierge estela was very knowledgable and supportive.
In all, three generations agreed that the villa and its location were superb. -

Norman, OKBeautiful Villa w/ Amazing Views!

Pictures really don't do this place justice. The house and grounds are amazing. The pool is spectacular and has great lounging space around it. There are 2 true master suites that are stunning with private baths and porches. The family room has 3 full sized beds and an upper bunk, also with a private bath and porch. Then there is a seperate apatment on the lower level with apivate bath & kitchen. The main kitchen is excellent and has everything you need to get started (I'd also highly recommend the chef they have that will come in and cook for you!). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The tours suggested by by Kent were spot on. Be sure and allow yourself enoughfree time to just sit back and enjoy the sounds of the ocean and serene setting! Kent also arranged for a taxi to meet us at the Quepos airport - I'd recommend that because it would have been hard to find the property otherwise.

We had an amazing experience staying in Villa Vigia. My extended family and I spent the week leading up to my wedding there. We can't explain why everything was so wonderful without first telling you about Kent and Estela. From the moment we contacted Kent and Estela, they went above and beyond. They patiently answered all of our many questions, helped our family and friends book all of our transporation and excursions, and gave us honest advice on things to do (and not to do) in the area. More than anything, they gave us peace of mind! They are accomodating, kind, wonderful, welcoming, honest, laid-back, and helpful. They really made the trip (and our wedding) an experience of a lifetime. They completely spoiled us for any other vacation. Thank you, Kent and Estela!
Next, the home. Sigh. It was magical. We arrived late at night, so all we saw was the beautiful interior, and we were thrilled. But, when we woke up the next morning, it was like something out of a dream. Between each of us, my family has traveled quite extensively, and we all hands-down say that Villa Vigia was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It's one of the few places I've visited where the actual place is more beautiful than the pictures. The view is simply breathtaking. The accomodations are luxurious, but still cozy and comfortable. The staff are very helpful but not at all intrusive. It's the perfect home for a large, or multi-family getaway. I have never given anything five stars across the board, but I honestly can't think of anything that could have made our stay at Villa Vigia any better. -

The views were amazing and the close proximity to the beach and rainforest can't be beat. Plus the property managers Kent and Estella were so kind and helpful with making arrangements. Our family couldn't have enjoyed the trip more.

Washington, DCVilla Vigia is absolutely breathtaking!!

Kent was absolutely attentive and available to answer any questions for us. The housekeeper was so sweet and kind. The groundskeeper was available if needed.
Villa Vigia is a beautiful home set with breathtaking views of Manuel antonio. The home was so wonderful that our family and friends rarely left during the day and all we wanted to do was lounge by the infinity pool all day!
The location is a 3 hour drive from San Jose airport which my 6 year old son slept through the whole way. The drive is scenic and beautiful. There are some great restaurants and cafes in the area and in town. The home had all the modern amenities like cable/satellite tv and wifi Internet.
This is a wonderful home for families and friends to meet and enjoy the natural beauty of Costa Rica.
