The VP Private Resort (aka 'Villa Pelicano') is your own private, 'mini resort' located in central Manuel Antonio. Situated on over 5 acres of sculpted gardens, VP has an ocean vista that inspires poetry. The entire resort faces due west, and captures amazing sunsets year-round. Fifty miles of coastline stretch towards the horizon, and the dramatic mountains rise up in the distance, hazed by the ocean air. The bordering, emerald rainforest skirts down to the water--a symphony of wildlife. Monkeys skirt through the mango trees, and toucans sing their sedative songs from the nearby cecropias.

I loved the views,the accommodations dreamy great;rooms spacious and colorful.The grounds are well kept. The pool was a refreshing bonus even for night swims.I highly reccommend Chef Rodger- exceptional meals! The location is nestle in a wonderful area know as the beverly hills of Costa Rica- I suggest taking a charter plane ride from San Jose airport to villa locale it's only minutes from villa. There are so many wonderful excusion as well- never a dull but full of R&R.;

Our stay at the Pelicano was one to remember. The meals prepared by the chef, incredible ocean view, and the swimming pool made for an amazing and relaxing week. The size and number of bedrooms of the Pelicano exceeded our expectations. Positioned the perfect distance from town and restaurants, we were able to experience the city of Manuel antonio in a very unique and convenient way.
