The home is situated on a beautiful overlook to a secluded beach which is great for long walks and beautiful scenery. There are restaurants which are close, and the town of Santa Teresa is just a short drive or aTV ride away. We were there during the rainy season, and still had great weather during the days to enjoy several local beaches, surf spots, yoga classes and drives throughout the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Many evenings, we sat on the porch and watched breathtaking lightning storms off in the distance over the ocean.
The house itself is gorgeous with its wood finishes and furniture. It was luxurious for the two of us, and could comfortably accommodate a group of at least 6. At the time we went, the property manager was not available, but arrangements were made with the grounds caretaker and another individual who were able to answer our questions and direct us to locals who could help with the area and local activities. -

This is a wonderful house to stay in. The views and location high over the Pacific are outstanding. The layout of the house easily accomodates a family and the furnishings are very comfortable. The first time I stayed in Casa alta I was traveling with my husband and his two sisters and their spouses. Everyone enjoyed their stay. We swam, fished, and went horseback riding. The horses were brought right to the front door. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned again last year with other friends and did some more exploring. Would highly recommend Casa alta for a relaxing vacation.
