Description from the manager
Beachwalk perches on a hillside, across the street from the beach, overlooking Manzanita Beach with views as far as the eye can see. A sweet gate opens to a fenced yard (dog friendly) with an entry to the ground level—or take the walk up the side of the house and upstairs to an entry deck at the living room. The fenced yard, on a slope, is loaded with shore pines and places for your pooch to explore. The fence is low and really won’t keep a dog with a spring in his legs hemmed in.
Cozy and comfy on the second floor you have the living room with a fireplace, dining area, and kitchen. The dining area opens with sliding glass door...Read more

We come to Mansanita a couple times a year to unwind, walk the beach and stay in a pleasant worry free house near the beach. The Beach Walk never disappoints!

Portland, OregonAmazing views!!!
Left on 09/27/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This house has fantastic views of the beach, ocean and NeahKahNie Mtn. Spectacular. And one of the best "supplied" homes we've ever rented. They have everything you could need already in the house...even a baby gate for the stairs!! There's nothing more annoying to me to get to town and have to buy common condiments/spices ect, and this house has everything. Beach toys, games, books, Dvds, you name it. The upstairs (main floor) has one bedroom and the downstairs has another queens bed and a futon. The deck is amazing and has a table and lounge chairs to watch the view. Keep in mind, that view is fantastic because you have to climb to get to it ...very steep driveway and then a set of stairs to the main floor, so if you have any mobility issues, this would not be a great choice, and was a challenge with my toddler...but once you get up there - Fantastic!!

This house has amazing almost 360 views of the beach and NeahKahNie Mtn, and is directly across the street from the beach on the South side of town. And honestly is the most "supplied" house we've has everything you could possibly need. There's nothing more annoying to me to come into town and have to bring or buy spices and basic condiments. They even supplied baby gates for the stairs!!, beach toys, movies, board games...you name it! Wonderful for a family with little ones! One word of caution...the driveway is STEEP and the main living areas are in the secon floor, so it is a challenge to unpack and hike your stuff up to the house, but once you get up there...amazing views are your reward!

This trip to the beach was a last minute decision and it went off so easy. The lady I talked to on the phone processed the rental papers instantly. We were late getting down and they called just to make sure we were okay. The house was beautiful and had a great view, me and my family were so happy to get away from town and to a wonderful getaway! Thanks sooooo much.

The weather was wetter than in the past but no problem. Warm and cozy inside and close to beach walks when the weather did coorporate.

Some people ask "Where's Waldo?" We've been asking "Where's summer?" Today it is warm and gray. Two days ago we have a glorious summer day. In spite of this summer's weather (thank goodness no heat waves or fires), lots of people are on the beach every day. I see them wind surfing, bicycling, horseback riding, building sand castles, jumping waves, boogie-boarding, playing frisbee, and walking dogs. Omigosh, no wonder we have a festival in summer called Mutt-zanita! Hope you come back soon.

The house was more than we could have asked for. The view was spectacular, the walk to the beach and into town was closer than we expected. The house was comfortable and clean with room for the kids downstairs, a large deck and fenced yard for the dog to run around. We will definitely book the Beachwalk again!

There is a fabulous ocean view at Beachwalk--and you are right, the big l-shaped sectional sofa faces the fireplace and the TV. Maybe that is why so many guests spend their time outside on the deck in good weather or at the kitchen table!

Shoreline, WaOctober Beachwalk visit
Left on 10/14/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Positives: This property had a well-equipped kitchen for cooking, and a nice view of the ocean (not so much the beach)from the upper level living space, both of which were nice surprises.
Negatives: Our initial experience with this management company was not great. We had contacted them about renting another smaller place, filled out the online form and called to make arrangements. By the time the contract arrived we discovered we would have my in-laws with us, so needed to make a change. We were told our credit card had already been charged even though we had not signed and returned contract, so we couldn't cancel and would have to hope someone else would rent the initial property. Mgmt company told us this was all detailed in the online form where you are asked to check that you've received their cancellation policies. NOTE: the policy box is blank when you look at the online form! So, we didn't see policies until we received contract. In the end they made it right by moving us to a larger place on different dates for same price. They were, however, condescending on the phone and initially not customer-service focused.
We've rented lots of places in Manzanita over the years, through other companies. We liked the property, but would not use this management company again.Response from OceanEdge Vacation Rentals - 11/11/2011

When a renter gives our office their credit card number a verbal contract has been made. We charge the fees and email the contract to the renter. These renters decided they didn't want the reservation - said their group had grown and needed a larger house. We offered to move the reservation to a larger property with no additional cost to them and they still were not happy. Our policies are listed on our website for anyone who takes the time to read them before booking a reservation. OceanEdge Vacation Rentals has 'black balled' this renter due to the problems we had with them.

We would definitely come back to The Beachwalk. It is the perfect size for two couples. Nicely decorated and very clean. Very close to the beach. Manzanita Beach was a very nice town; much quieter than Cannon and that was perfect for us. Our first trip to the Oregon Coast and we will be back!

Your recommendation for our needs exceeded our expectations. A lovely vacation, a lovely location, and an all-around great little vacation at beautiful Manzanita. We will return. A small suggestion would ask for new kitchen sponges for each new renter and tissues for the bathrooms. Oh - and better information in your guest binder on how to use Direct TV and a listing of stations.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Beachwalk. We have been coming to Manzanita for 18+ years and had to find a different home this year to accomodate our newest feline addition. We were so happy to find the Beachwalk. It is a perfect location...close to beach, downtown, park and it has a beautiful view. We will definitely be back!

Again, an incredible time in Manzanita. The house was great, clean and well kept. The yard was described as dog friendly, but doesn't really provide a place for pooch to forage, you have to take doggy out for walks to do his business. Friendly staff, great location. Highly recommend this home.

A number of things required maintenance - front burner on stove didn't work, shower door didn't slide... Great location and overall nice property. Why not have extra linens so guests can enjoy the last morning rather than doing laundry!

Bozeman, MTThree Generation trip to Beach Walk
Left on 06/19/2010 for a stay in June 2010
This is a lovely home with lots of amenities. Location and view is ideal. The home is in good condition but the plumbing is a bit challenging.
We had a great time despite cool weather and 2 dead sea lions on the beach!
Ocean Edge staff were most gracious and helped us with a last minute schedule change and a late checkout for which we were very appreciative.
My only suggestion would be to warn early visitors (June) that a number of restaurants/bakeries/stores have limited days and hours. Since the options already are limited, you need to know this and plan accordingly. -

Left on 06/17/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The location of the house is great, not too close and not too fare from the beach.
However, the drive way was way too steep!
The owner should have carved into the hill for a flat parking.
In addition, the neighbor to the north is just taking up the front parking space when it was clearly makred for the renter of this house.
I'm not sure we'll rent it again. -

Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We are so grateful to the owners of this house for renting it out to people like us. We spent a delightful weekend at Beachwalk enjoying the ocean view, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and speedy wi-fi connection in the evening. A sunny morning allowed us to have breakfast on the deck enjoying the sounds and sight of the sea. The home was the cleanest and best kept rental that we have experienced in Manzanita (and we have rented there many times). Glenda of OceanEdge is very personable and even made our dog Nico feel welcome.

Left on 02/09/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Lovely view, well-appointed kitchen, great deck and very pleasant outside area for hanging out. Only drawbacks are very very steep inclined driveway, not so great couches in LR, and really it sleeps 4 adults, not 6 but could accomodate a kid or 2 downstairs with parents.
Overall, though we loved this place and hope to return. Ocean Edge folks are great; friendly, helpful and focused on customers! Yeah! -

Portland, OROceanEdge staff saved Christmas!
Left on 12/28/2009 for a stay in December 2009
OceanEdge staff really turned a bad situation around. Two of us had been spending the holidays on the Oregon Coast. We booked a small house in Manzanita named "Hummingbird Hill". That house was truely dreadful; it was uncomfortable, dark, extremely dated and strangely laid-out. On Christmas Eve, we decided that (adventurous as we are), we were not willing to spend the holiday in that house. The staff at OceanEdge (Esther, in particular) found a different house for us to move into and it made all the difference. "Beachwalk" was a very, very nice place. As the name implies, it is located just off the beach. It was comfortable and clean and modern. We had purchased some cooked crabs (very much in season this time of year) and had a great holiday feast. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to return to this house at some future point. Sincere thanks to the staff at OceanEdge Vacation Rentals!

Eugene, ORGreat addition to OceanEdge rentals
Left on 05/19/2009 for a stay in May 2009
We are frequent visitors to Manzanita and always stay in an OceanEdge property. We have found this property management company to be the very best on the north coast. Beachwalk is a new addition to their list of houses and it is a winner! Great value for the price. Right across the street from the beach. The views are wonderful - but not unobstructed. Great deck for sunbathing and bbqing. We used the big downstairs room as our bedroom - very comfortable. Two couples could easily rent this house together - or a family with children - but the downstairs room does have its own enterance - which might worry some parents! Another plus - the home is dog-friendly!
