Ideal Location - In the heart of Manzanita, one block from the Beach, one block to Laneda Avenue (main street); six blocks to Manzanita Golf Course. The address is 228 Carmel, near Merton, just behind the Spindrift Inn.
Features - Enjoy a quaint beach cottage with fireplace, updated kitchen, cabinets, appliances, and electronics. It has a lovely large back yard with many trees, and in the summer a stainless BBQ. The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably with a queen bed in one bedroom, two twin beds in second bedroom and queen-size sleeper sofa in living room. Fairbanks, AKHas potential but was a disaster
Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in December 2010
I rented this house for my 4 night stay in one of my favorite coastal towns - Manzanita. It smelled of soot/smoke from the fire place, didn't even have a yard light or porch light on so stumbled in the dark - the temperature was set at 40F when I arrived and the dishwasher, washer and dryer were marked out of service. I loaded my luggage back into the car even though it had been a long day and it was in the evening - and did not stay here. It may have the potential to be a warm cozy cottage - but that is not what I was welcomed with.

As we did in person, we again apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this caused you. Our cleaning crew did not do their job in making Carmel Cottage ready for your enjoyment, and there is no excuse. We have trained them further, and this certainly will not happen again. We do appreciate your patience, given that a suite in a nearby hotel was not what you had anticipated. We hope that you will return and we can make it up to you.
