THE CHINOOKERY has terrific ocean views from the dining and living room areas. On the second floor, the open kitchen-living-dining area has a lot of natural lighting with windows all along the west and north. The clean lines of Swedish furnishings create a relaxing atmosphere.
THE CHINOOKERY is the perfect family beach house with a master bedroom and a bunkroom on the ground floor. A sleeper sofa in the living room adds more sleeping space.

Recently I rented the Chinookery for myself, two sisters, mom, and my sisters three kids, oh and the family dog. The house was spacious enough that we all got the quality time together, but could go have some alone time if needed. The central location to the beach, the house sits on a dead end road with a path less than 5mins to the beach, was definitely a selling point. Especially with three kids in tow, they were able to come and go as they pleased. The office staff were extremely helpful and even gave me $20 off our cleaning fee because we were such a small party. Although the fees combined with the cost of the rental may ne on the high side for some budgets, it is definitely worth having your own space, on a quiet street, close to the beach, and the full access to the house's amenities.

Nice place. Great location. Bed was a little old and saggy + needed a few home owner repairs, but nothing that grossly affected the stay.

The Chinookery is just a half block to the beach and a half block to the Manzanita Golf Course-and on a paved road which is great if your kids bring their bikes or skate boards. Thanks for letting us know about the bed--we will be sure the owners know about this. The garage is a great place to store your beach gear. The side door is always unlocked for easy access. The Chinookery is just steps from the beach. With the new deck off the living room, you have great outdoor space with a view straight to the beach. This two bedroom house is a favorite of couples who come for their own retreat, for a family with 2-4 children who sleep in the bunkroom. The living room sleeper sofa means a family staying for a week or so can have space to invite a favorite aunt or uncle down for a night or two.

I recently spent a long pleasing vacation at Chinookery. This home is light, cozy and well kept. I enjoyed the ocean view from the deck and the comfortable furnishings. The staff at OceanEdge were very helpful and always friendly. I plan on retunring again to manzanita and the Chinookery.

Our group was rather unusual. 3 adults and 5 children. That composition fit perfectly with the Chinookry. This house comes with 4 beds which are bunkbeds, 1 queen size bed, and 1 hide a bed. Considering our household composition this bed arrangement worked.
If our household composition would of been 7 adults. I would of felt some one would be getting the short end of the stick having to sleep in a bunk bed. -

This is our third year staying at the Chinookery! We come back each year because its the greatest location, which the best deck and the house is so cozy! Perfect for our family:) This year was no exception. The house was clean and in good condition and, as always, the rental staff was so friendly and accomodating. The only draw back - the bed mattresses are no very comfortable. I would love to see those replaced for next summer!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chinookery. The staff at Ocean's Edge was helpful and cordial. We loved the proximity to the beach and the golf course. We were able to walk down to the course with our clubs and spikes on. The decks provide a great view of sunset and plenty of waves. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. We'll hopefully be back!

Renting from OceanEdge was a total pleasure. Each of the employees that I worked with was flexible, easy to work with and warm toward me each time I called. I never had any trouble getting in touch with them and they readily left the keys for me to pick up after hours and allowed for a late check-out, both of which other rental companies are often very rigid about. I will absolutely rent from OceanEdge the next time I am in Manzanita.
Not only was the agency wonderful to work with, the house was exactly what I was looking for: brightly lit, immaculately clean, close to the beach and incredibly organized. It was stocked with a kite, plenty of deck chairs, and a ton of seating in the living area, something that seems hard to come by in rental homes for some reason. The kitchen had everything we could possibly have needed for cooking for our large group. The two decks were perfect for looking out at the ocean, afternoon lounging and taking in the sun (yes, it was actually sunny!). I rented a home last year in another coast town but there is no question in my mind that I will be returning to this cabin the next time I head to the coast (as will my friends who stayed with me). -

This is a great place to stay with a small family and a dog. Great location, very clean, simple and comfortable, and the staff at Ocean Edge could not have been more accomodating. They were dedicated to serving us as customers, something you don't always see once the rental company has your money. We will definately rent from them again.

We had a great time at the Chinookery! We loved the location, the great view deck and the well stocked kitchen with everything we needed to make our meals! The one dissapointment was the beds. Kitchen amenities could use some updating. Would be great to have wireless internet access. Dog run/wash off area was great. King size bed would be nice,but the bed was fine. Kids loved the bunk beds. Location close to the beach was great and not too far for the kids, even with kites, sand toys, etc.

There weren't enough tv/dvd/stereo features and the furniture wasn't that comfy. The back deck was outdated with really outdated plastic furniture. The kitchen needed some more appliances, but was well stocked with spices/etc...the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was updated. It was really close to the beach which was a plus.

This home is great. The location is wonderful and it is clean and fairly well stocked. It could use a few more mixing-type bowls, cake pans, etc. in the kitchen but we managed. We have stayed two years in a row now and plan to return!
