Had a great time.
Staff was fantastic, house lovely.
Kitchen store cupboard was a bit chaotic and there was a large comforter

Wave Walker is a perfect location for our family vacation. No need to pack anything to get to the beach because we are right on it. We can see the kids while we make dinner or have a cocktail on the deck. So close to the idyllic main street where we are comfortable letting the kids walk to on their own. Hope you can fix the screen door so we can keep the flies out while enjoying the breeze.

Wave Walker is special, right on the sand. The sand actually blows right up on the deck so we are perpetually in action shoveling sand-year round! The sand and the wind and the salt air and the rain work against the screen door continuously. We've ordered another one-the second one this year! Looking forward to seeing you again next year!

Comments on Wave Walker:
Loved the location, Staff at Ocean Edge lovely to deal with.
Blinds - even through the open slats you feel that that they totally block the spectacular view of the beautiful ocean front location - was a rainy, dark afternoon when we arrived and not being able to pull up the blinds and let in more light, and have an unobstructed view was very dissapointing.
- fireplace - We bought wood in Astoria and Manzanita and in both cases it was not seasoned and dry. Very smelly results when you try to have a fire with wet wood, and I am guessing that has happened to previous guests as the smell of the fireplace is the first thing I noticed when I walked in to the house.
I think dry, seasoned firewood should be supplied.
-I was not impressed with the state of the bedding, towels and kithchen towels and pot holders -all old and shabby.
When towels smell after two uses, you know they should be replaced.
At almost $300/night the blankets,bedspreads towels etc. should be in perfect condition and they were not. Bedding was very dated. -

So glad a few upgrades have been made. What a wonderful washer/dryer! Glad for the new couches! New carpet would help it feel cleaner but I can see how its tough to renew carpet on the coast. The location can't be beat. Paradise for the children and I!
A safe, one-street town where the kids can walk to get ice cream and pizza. Where they can play on the beach and I can see them as I prepare a meal. We love it. -

It had easy access to the main drag in Manzanita. Great walking beach. The house has lots of character. Would have liked a bigger BBQ and a useable picnic table. Someone had build a sand/plant/shell display on it and we didn't know if we could take it off? Overall we had a good experience and our 2 year old granddaughter was in seventh heaven with the ocean so close!

The staff at OceanEdge is extremely friendly and helpful. The home is very well stocked, comfortable and in the perfect location. It's close to town and you step off the deck onto the dunes of the beach.

being unable to open the blinds is frustrating and not necessary . people know when blinds should be closed.

I think this was our fifth stay at Wave Walker. Is is by far our favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast. You will not find a property with a better view than Wave Walker. There were days when my wife and I just stayed inside and watched the ocean out of the all glass front of Wave Walker. I plan on staying at Wave Walker in the future, so I hope this review is not to wildly successful, making it more difficult for me to stay at Wave Walker.

We rented this house after viewing the pictures on the website. It showed a wonderful view of the ocean from inside the house. However, when we arrived, there were blinds that could not be raised. You could look through them, but the view was not as advertised. This was a big deal because I was traveling with my elderly mother and aunt who could not go out on the beach. And it was raining so we could not go out on the deck. Running toilet prevented a good nights sleep. Very disappointing

The flapper valve in the toilet has been replaced. Blinds can be raised carefully, when renters ask for assistance we are always happy to assist!

We've been staying at Wavewalker every summer for years. It's the perfect family beach house. It's not fancy, but is well maintained and has everything you need in an ideal location. One of the few, if only, houses available for rent that look right out at the sand and ocean with no dunes. OceanEdge personnel are very friendly and helpful. We loved the new wifi access this year.

Friendly, genuinely interested in helping any way they could. Interested in the family and how they could provide for the young children ages three and two. Checked on us to make sure everything was find. Only problem was the table was not quite big enough because the regular table was being fixed but it was just fine really.

Everything was fine, however there were no facial tissues in the master bath and the TP was thin, 1-ply that wasn't adequate. Thank you for the hand grip in the stall shower. Hope you add 2 to the hall bath next year. Had a hard time understanding the workings of the TV but the new flat screens were nice also the carpet, new mattress and washer dryer. Thanks for showing us how toopen the blinds--it improved the view.

We recently completed a two week stay at the Wave Walker house on the beach in Manzanita, Oregon. This is our third stay at this property and it gets better with every stay. The location is without a doubt, one of the best in all of Manzanita. We were surprised this year at the change in the landscape of the sand dunes directly in front of the house. The view had changed substantially with a large dune directly in front of the house. Our grandchildren really enjoyed their huge sandbox right in front of the house. There is no better place in Oregon to sit in front of a warm fire in the fireplace and gaze out upon the ocean.

Wonderful place for children with the sand just a step away. View is incredible. Well stocked linens and kitchen. Only down side was checkout time. Would have been nice to be able to have lunch before we left. A late checkout fee would have worked for us. Staff was very helpful. A couple more outside chairs on deck would have been great. We will rent again.

What a wonderful place to relax! My wife and I spent an absolutely delightful week in June 2008 with a roaring fire in the fireplace and a great beachfront view out of the front of Wave Walker. If you want a relaxing and slow paced vacation, I would definitely recommend Manzanita and Wave Walker. We have already booked for next year and have expanded the stay to two weeks.

Our family of four had a great time at this little beach house. It was right on the sand with incredible views and within walking distance of "town". Nice deck area outside. However, the interior could use some updating; the rooms are dark with poor lighting.

We have loved staying at Wavewalker, it is right on the beach and only a few blocks from downtown Manzanita. The kids love the variety of things to do there, it is right next to where a stream crosses the beach, so they can get lots of water play without going in the ocean. When the weather is bad, the views are great from inside. It is dark inside though, and needs better lighting.

Great place. The only drawback maybe for some people is that the house is adjacent to the public beach access and at times beachcombers come very close to the home’s deck. This was the perfect beach house for us – 2 couples and 2 kids that shared the bunk beds. There were 2 bunk beds in one small room. So 4 children that get along could sleep fairly comfortably. Nothing too fancy, but well appointed. The view is fabulous!

It was so relaxing to be able to sit at fireplace and look out the huge windows at the sea gulls and kites in the air. As you step out the back door of this wonderful house, you are on a flat, sandy beach. What a great place to enjoy life and your family!!
