The property is located on the Stella Maris neighborhood, next to the Los Troncos neighborhood, the most affluent and sought.-after area in Mar del Plata. Playa Chica beach is 100 metres left from the building. Cabo Corrientes beach is 300 metres right from the building. Parque san Martin is a park that begins right next to Playa Chica and extends for about 1km to the south until Playa Grande beach.
12 blocks east from the building is the Calle Guemes commercial area, a street with 15 blocks full of shops, bars and restaurants.
2km south from the building is the Mar del Plata Golf Club, one of the best 18-hole courses in Argentina and the venue for all major championships held in the country.
The port is 3km south from the apartment. Fishing enthusiasts have the chance to fish either from the coast or off-shore. Fishing equipment is available for hire. There are also a number of good fish and seafood restaurants.
The location of the property is close to all the major points of interest in the city.

This apartment is perfect! Has everything you need for cooking at home and is very comfortable. The photos of the views do not do it justice. The sunrise view from bed is amazing. Carlos was a very helpful host, even not living nearby he was accessible if I needed anything. For anyone staying alone it is very comforting to know that there is always a security gaurd at the front desk 24 hrs a day and they are very helpful. Also, I worked 8 hrs a day online while I was there and never had an issue with the internet and it was very quick.

Ocupamos la Unidad por 4 dias y todo fue optimo: la ubicacion, el confort y equipamiento, la vista del mar en Cabo Corrientes y el excelente gusto en su decoracion. Cochera y servicio de vigilancia de primera. El anfitrion Carlos: todo un señor al que no se le escapa ningun detalle para hacer de la estadia una experiencia inolvidable.
Volveremos! ( a pesar del calendario extra ocupado...)

Everything about this apartment is right: the location, the furniture, the incredible ocean view and the professional service from the apartment owner. Everything is spot on. We will definitely visit this great ocean city again and this will be the apartment we will stay at. No need to look for another place. Mar del Plata is an undiscovered treasure for foreign visitors. Another great plus is the 24-hour security in the building.

Nos alojamos con mi marido un fin de semana largo de junio.
Carlos fué un anfitrion impecable, nos esperó con el departamento en óptimas condiciones y se ocupó de comunicarse con nosotros para chequear que todo estuviese bien.
El departamento es Supercomfortable!!! tiene más cosas de las que nosotros pudimos usar en nuestra corta estadía.
Buenas camas, un buen sillón en el living, un enorme TV ,seguridad día y noche y unas vistas del mar Increibles!!!...
Sin duda vamos a volver alli, lo recomedamos muy especialmente. -

De todos los departamentos que hemos rentado el mejor sin lugar a dudas!! las fotos coinciden exactamente con el departamento, la vista es increible tanto de día como de noche.
Está en un lugar estratégico para los que nos gusta caminar y recorrer la ciudad, desde allí se puede ir a pie, con sentido sur, hacia el puerto ( donde hay muchos restaurantes) también se puede llegar al centro comercial guemes, donde hay un sin número de locales comerciales y variedad gastronómica ( tanto diuarna como nocturna)también cuenta con un extensa costanera que permite recorrer la ciudad ,siempre con una maravillosa vista al mar.
A diferencia de otros departamentos este se destaca por la buena atención, lo facil que fue hacer el check in y check out y la limpieza.
Una experiencia maravillosa, espero volver pronto!!!

This is my second trip to argentina. I have already visited Patagonia, the wine region of Mendoza, Iguazu Falls and Salta, and of course, Buenos aires. This time I also had the opportunity to visit this wonderful seaside resort/city. I only spent four nights here, but it was enough to decide to come here again for a much longer period on my next visit. The view from the apartment is amazing, and the city has lots to offer. It caters to every imaginable taste. The food is fantastic, the shopping is great and the seaside promenade is perfect for a run or power-walk. All in all, a perfect place to visit. Another thing to add is that this place works out better and less expensive than a standard hotel room, without a view and without the comfort of this apartment. Absolutely great value.

Now I understand why it is so difficult to get a booking in this seaside apartment! The place is amazing. The ocean view from the apartment is breathtaking, and Mar del Plata has to be argentina´s most exciting destination. Extremely popular with locals and virtually unknown to foreigners (not for long), Mar del Plata combines beachside living with all the benefits of a pulsating metropolis. Great restaurants, theatres, beautiful promenade, amazing casino, world-class golf-course, etc, etc. Do yourself a favor and come to this seaside town now.

Mar del Plata has to argentina´s best kept secret. A truly wonderful ocean city, with the benefits of both a dynamic metropolis and a seaside resort, this is a place where it is impossible to be bored, even on a rainy day. We stayed here for 45 days and given that my husband has to return to argentina for business in July, we have already reserved it as our place of residence. One thing to bear in mind is that MDP is crowded during the summer months, but this is part of the dynamism and charm of the place.

Reasonable, one bedroom, high rise apartment for 2 people only. It is small, but comfortable with a gorgeous water view, a full kitchen, huge cable TV. Linens supplied, note- no washer. Apt located out of town 10 minutes in Historic "Los Tronces" area. Across highway is great waterfront lookout point and long walking path.
10 block walk to closest, but very nice shopping "M. Guemes Street" has Disco supermarket, delis', laundry, Atms, pharmacy, many shops and restaurants.
Reasonable taxis in town. Carlos supplies Wifi/plus a free local cell phone to his renters -to order taxi to i.e. Disco supermarket Market, order "takeout"- para llegar- pizza delivery, and/or go to restaurant. Not many restaurants close by apt. Boston is pretty close restaurant -bakery/good sandwiches/drinks.
*Best parrilla in town is La Marca- We split a Lomo Steak with mushrooms, papas-provencial. and great salad bar. Worth a splurge!.
Carlos has available city maps and list of many good restaurants and take out suggestions, too. l
Taxi from condo necessary to Downtown Plaza Colon, Plaza San Martin,Museums, some distant beaches i.e. Bristol, Casino, Puerto, Golf Course. There is local bus service.
Careful of broken sidewalks, I had a fall at the Puerto and we had to go to the Private Hospital for stitches-- had very good care.
We took the 5 hour bus ride from Buenos aires and flew back -l hour aerolineas airlines to Ba ( Jorge Newberry intown airport). Frequent Buses each day leave from both Ba Station Retiro and Mar Del Plata Station Retiro.
We would return in November, early December or March to avoid all the crowds.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this beautiful ocean city. The view from the apartment is simply sensational. We walked the entire promenade, shopped for beautiful knitwear of outstanding quality, celebrated my husband´s birthday at El anticuario, expensive but worth every dollar, great quality mediterranean cuisine. We visited the casino, one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. For those who have never heard of Mar del Plata, let me tell you that it is one of argentina´s best destinations. Popular with locals but virtually unknown to foreigners, this ocean city has everything anyone could possibly wish; great food, great shopping, great harbor, friendly people, and much more. We will definitely come back here on our next visit.

My wife and I are from australia and this was our first visit to South america and argentina. We had only planned to visit Buenos aires, but we were recommended to visit this fantastic city that we knew nothing about. Mar del Plata is a city that combines urbanism and the beach in one single place. The city offers great restaurants, all kinds of activities, great shopping, and beautiful seaside architecture, such as the Casino. The food is fantastic; great pasta, beef, pizza, fish and seafood, you name it, Mar del Plata has got it. A visit to places like El Palacio del Bife (beef), Alitos (fish), Manolo (pizza and pasta) is a must. The apartment is perfect with everything you need. The owner was helpful and provided all the information we needed. Taxis can be booked by phone without any need to wait outside.
There were a couple of days with windy weather and we decided to visit the beautiful Los Troncos neighborhood, an upper class section of the city with incredible mansions from the early and mid-20th century. Then we went shopping to avenida Guemes and bought pure wool knitwear at incredible prices. All in all, a great decision and a fantastic experience of value and quality. -

My wife and I are from Toronto, I am Canadian and she is from argentina. We have visited argentina several times and this time we deciced to spend a couple of weeks in the beautiful seaside city of Mar del Plata. It is winter right now in this part of the world, but nothing compared to the winter in Canada. During our stay, we experienced everything from wet snow, to beautiful mild and sunny weather. Our last week there had an average temperature of 65F.
The apartment is on a great location, close to everything and with stunning ocean views. There is virtually no need for a car, taxi or public transport. Mar del Plata offers everything you can imagine for any type of visitor. We visited a great casino, went fishing, bought natural wool knitwear at unbelievable prices. The restaurants are great and if you want to stay in, there are great rotiserias (delis) where you can get great takeout.
There are interesting towns to visit nearby. Sierra de Los Padres is a perfect one-getaway where you can enjoy an "asado criollo", or argentine meat grilled on a cross (please don´t miss this as it is a unique eating experience and absolutely delicious). Another is Balcarce, where you can visit Fangio´s world class Motor Car Museum.
The apartment is so accommodating, that on several evenings we chose to stay in and relax, eat good takeout and enjoy the beautiful ocean views at night while sipping good argentine wine.

My wife and I came to Mar del Plata for three nights at first, and ended up staying for ten nights. We were pleasantly surprised, with the apartment and the city. We thought we were coming to a little beach resort and found a world-class city, with magnificent architecture, great food, good shopping, and an easy, laid-back atmosphere. The apartment is excellent in every aspect, beautiful ocean views, nice furniture, inmaculately maintained and clean and on a great location. Carlos, the owner, was helpful and kind and made sure to give us recommendations according to our lifestyle. We enjoyed, walking by the ocean, cycling, shopping, eating out. All in all, a totally satisfying experience. My recommendation is: come to Mar del Plata and stay at this apartment!

My husband and I came to argentina to visit Buenos aires and enjoy its great culture and food scene. We both love playing golf and were told that one of the best courses in the country was in the seaside resort of Mar del Plata. We decided to give it a try and rented a great apartment for a week right in front of the Ocean. We loved the course, visited the city´s recently refurbished casino, located in a magnificent building right in front of the sea, and spent a week in a city we knew nothing about but absolutely loved. It takes 45 minutes to get here by plane from Buenos aires and on the way back, there is a shuttle bus service that can take you directly to the international airport in Buenos aires.

We were recommended to visit this lovely ocean city by friends from Buenos aires. We are very glad that we took their advice as we enjoyed our stay in Mar del Plata a great deal. We were not sure what to expect as we knew nothing about it. My husband was all into the ecosports scene in a nearby location called Sierra de Los Padres and I spent most of the time shopping for beautiful knitwear at amazing prices on Calle Guemes. The seaside promenade is beautiful and the apartment has a lovely ocean view and is on a great location close to everything. We highly recommend this city and apartment to anyone wanting to have contact with the ocean before heading home.

Whenever people hear about argentina, they hear about Buenos aires, Tango, Iguazu Falls, Mate, and the beautiful lake regions in Patagonia. There is another place, that most foreigners have never heard of, and that place is Mar del Plata. Argentina´s best kept secret and most popular weekend destination for locals, Mar del Plata is a fantastic city, a great resort, and a wonderful place to escape from Buenos aires, all wrapped into one. The food is fantastic, you can do all types of daily activities, and the apartment´s location, looking out into the atlantic Ocean, is unsurpassed. I will definitely come and visit this beautiful place on my next visit to argentina.

My husband is from argentina and we were visiting his family in Buenos aires and he decided to spend a couple of weeks in Mar del Plata. Being from California, I had never heard about the place and I have to say that I loved both the property and the city. The apartment is on a great location with a fantastic open ocean view and is nicely furnished and decorated. Mar del Plata is a great getaway from noisy but great Buenos aires. There is something different to do every day. The food is great and the nightlife is fantastic. The landlord is kind and he made sure that we had everything we needed. We plan to visit this city again on our next trip to argentina.
