Similar to the Amalfi Coast altough far less developed, Maratea is on the stretch of coast south of Campania and consist of a handful of hillside villages linked by roads that are never straight or level for long. the area is still unspoilt and extraordinarily beautiful. The area of Maratea has 2 sections: the port, 4,5 km and the "old town" at 6km, up on the hill side.
The views along the coast change frequently, in a constant procession of beaches, inlets, islets, rocks and grottoes, that have justly made this coastline famous for its b...eauty and for the crystal-clear water of the sea. Back at the seaside Castrocucco has one of the area's prettiest beaches with a ruined Norman castle and grottoes.
Maratea, blessed by nature, is a beautiful villages, perches high above the stunning coastline of the Bay of Policastro, surrounded by dramatic mountains and eleven tiny hamlets.
Villa Giulia is perfectly situated between the two hamlets: Porto and Marina di Maratea. The Villa itself is immaculate and suited for a family of 3 generations. The pool was granchild friendly. Enjoy the walk to the private beach or a magnificent view of the sea and a tiny brushstroke of an island.
Built against the hillside around a central courtyard, this modern house offers wonderfully spacious, airy rooms that capture every breeze. Majestic trees frame paved terraces with sitting areas and a large swimming pool sited for the best view. A private tennis court has been built into the hillside below the house.
Outdoor
A small but very lush semi-tropical garden with olive, citrus and carob trees decorated with roses, bougainvillea is based in different levels. In about 10.000sqm there are a terracotta terrace and a tennis court take. The swimming-pool (15mtx6mt) lays on a panoramic terrace, built, for guests private use. The pool has shallow areas along the sides and a deeper lane down the middle for laps and diving. A rough track leads down to the water from the garden.

Ground floor: large sitting room opening to the terrace with sitting area and a view over the tennis court, the garden and a stunning sea view. On the ground floor you find the dining room, one equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms one with ensuite bathroom, an extra single bed for the staff. There are also two further double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and three bathrooms.A very helpful caretaker mantains the property and offers his services, as an extreme competent cook.
