Located at Mile Marker 63, half way down the Keys, Conch Key is a perfect little island artfully placed between the Florida Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Great fishing and lobstering. Click on link to Google Maps below to locate us.

World Famous Dolphin Research Center is 2 miles south on Grassy Key.

This fully equipped, conch-style home is situated on tiny Conch Key at the southwesterly foot of the Long Key Bridge, Mile Post 63, bay side. You will enjoy direct views of great sunsets from our dock, deck, porch, and roof-top deck; and great boating and fishing from our 65 foot long dock.

Fishing, lobstering and crabbing opportunities are truly excellent. From our 65-foot dock you will have direct access to the Gulf (Florida Bay) and a vast array of flats, shoals and channels. Proceeding easterly, a five-minute ride in your boat will take you under the Long Key Bridge and into the Atlantic Ocean. The reef is just five-and-one-half miles away.

The property is spacious. On-site parking is ample. The property is completely walled in on the landward side, is screened from the adjacent neighbor by a impenetrable tall hedge, and is served by a hand operated access gate. The property (and rental) includes a separate cottage with a single bed with a/c, cable tv, and phone and WI FI.

The Hawks' Cay Resort, with its fine marina, charter boats, para sailing, restaurants, and other activities is available one mile away.

Great Beaches are available in Marathon (Sombrero Beach) and Bahia Honda State Park- mile marker 38. Don't miss the 1 mile nature walk at Long Key State Park, just 6 miles N/E on the Overseas Highway- great picnicing as well.

If you're going to party this is not it, but if you want to relax in a quiet gorgeous place it can't get any better than this. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrise. Friendly neighbors and plenty of fishing. A family of manatees visited almost every morning as we're sitting outside on covered patio having breakfast. We'll be back next year for sure, and this time we'llstay longer. Thank You

      Fantastic Vacation!

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012

We just spent two weeks here and we were not ready to leave. This home has everything for a perfect vacation! The location is great for offshore fishing, reef fishing, backcountry fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, lobstering. We grilled fresh fish and lobster in the tiki area, saw some amazing sunsets, gazed at the stars from the roof, swam and fished off the dock, and had two friendly manatee visit us several times. There is nothing like waking up and being right on the water! We can't wait to come back!!!

      Exactly what we wanted.

Left on 01/22/2012 for a stay in January 2012

After a long drive from Canada we arrived at the house and were able to settle in and relax immediately. Everything was right there for us to move in and make ourselves at home. There was plenty of room for five adults with lots of outdoor space to read or enjoy a glass of wine while watching an amazing sunset. The sunrises from this location were incredible too. We took our canoe and launched from the dock to paddle out in the ocean for some fishing and exploring. It was so quiet here, perfect for what we wanted to do but close enough to head off to other keys. The nearby state parks were amazing and we took the canoe over to Curry Hammock and Long Key state parks for great days paddling through the mangroves. One day we went swimming with the dolphins at Hawks Cay which was incredible. After our days out, the ice maker on the fridge was a really welcome addition with a great blender for cocktail hour and a BBQ for the pink shrimp. We would definitely come back to this house. It is clean, well equipped, in a quiet and safe location, and close to lots of activities. Thanks Frank and Catherine.

Frank's place on the canal is well worth the money! The pictures on the web site do not do it justice. This was our 2nd year in a row. Our favorite things: watching sunsets from the roof top, shopping at the unique stores within minutes, catching our dinner - snapper, grouper, flounder, etc., and the many sitings of sea turtles and manatees.

      Ten steps to the water

Left on 06/11/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We rented this house sight unseen based on reviews we read on the internet. Those reviews were excellent and after spending 9 days at Conch Key, we agree that the house and location are excellent for those wanting to be literally steps from fishing, kayaking and floating around. Bring your boat and tie up ten steps from the living room door. The house is in a neighborhood of folks who work the seas for a living so the night life is quiet and comes early which is precisely the atmosphere we wanted.

As to the appearance and cleanliness of the house, nothing is out of place and everything is there.

Short note on kayaking the area. If you are not familiar with tide changes and wind and their dramatic effects due to rapidly changing water depth, stick close to shore and away from bridges. We have been sea kayaking for many years and unless you have the "sea knowledge," making for the island key that you can see at the end of the canal might be more of a paddle than you want to experience. If you do have the knowledge and skills, be sure to have a camera ready as you circle the island without landing. You'll understand once you get within 100 feet of it. Again, only experienced sea kayakers should attempt this paddle.

If you want an exceptionally clean and well stocked house that is on a canal in a "sea working" neighborhood that goes to bed early, and want to tie up your boat 10 steps from the living room door, this is the place. We loved our 9 days there and plan to spend many more in the future.

      Good Paddle

Will never stay in hotels for extended family vacations again!

Left on 04/19/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We were apprehensive booking online, as our past experience has not been as successful as this trip. My husband, son and cousin enjoyed 84 Seaview more than we ever imagined. The views were outstanding, the house was perfect for a family. We bought fresh seafood daily and cooked it in the Tiki Hut each evening. We have watched the Key West sunset many years in the past, but our view from this house was our preference. Accessability to atlantic/Gulf makes this perfect for adult family fishing vacations!

Wonderful stay in a very special place

Left on 03/06/2011 for a stay in February 2011

We had a wonderful stay at Frank's beautiful home. It's absolutely beautiful and we loved the location. Conch Key feels like the Keys must have many years ago. It's not at all commercialized and it is a real working fishing community. The people we met were all so friendly and it is a very peaceful and relaxing place.

The views from the house are fabulous no matter which of the many outdoor seating areas you decide to sit at or which way you look. The sunsets are outstanding as well.

We really enjoyed staying in a real working fishing community too. We bought three kinds of fresh snapper fresh from the fishermen as well as stone crab right from the boat. Yum! What more could you ask for?

The house is decorated very tastefully and is equipped with everything you could possibly want, including a kayak. We couldn't imagine a nicer place to stay.

Dusty was extremely helpful as well, providing us with lots of suggestions for going to the beach, dining out or buying supplies.

I would like to thank Frank for allowing us the use of his beautiful home. Was amazed at how perfect this house is. Great views. Awsome dockage for small to large vessels. Plenty of room inside and out for entertaining. Large parking area with gate was great. Convenient access to the gulf or ocean. Small marina with ramp seconds away. Very good experience, looking forward to the next trip.

Gulf sunsets viewed from the patio.

Left on 10/13/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We stayed on Conch Key for a week at the end of March early april (2 adults and an 8 yr old boy). We loved the location and facilities. House was very clean and well acquainted. Washer, drier, bait freezer, outside propane grill were all nice touches. We captured many sunset pictures from the patio. Neighbors are very friendly and even helpful

Location allows for easy access to the Gulf or atlantic depending on wind direction. Boat slip just off of the patio was excellent and well protected from heavy seas by the shallow flat that the channel winds through. Close enough to Islamorada and Marathon but far enough from everything to relax. You don't realize us 1 is within a mile unless you are driving on it (or boating under it).

My brother recommended this rental to us and we loved it. We can't wait to go back
