Description from the owner
Spring is early and the sea still holds 20 degrees in November. You reach Villa Veronica on the island of Aiyina by boat from Pireus, 40 minutes.
Our house is in a quiet residential air but just a few minutes away from Marathonas' sandy beaches, tavernas, supermarket, bakery and little church.
From all rooms, garden and pool you have a wonderful view of the sea with Peloponnesos in the background.
You enter the upper floor with a live-in-area cum kitchen. There are comfortable chairs, TV, AC, all modern conveniences in the kitchen, a toilet. There are two balconies. Downstairs there are 4 bedroom and a shower room with a...Read more

Additional Location Information
Marathonas is a small holiday resort with sandy beaches, local tavernas and a genuine friendly Greek atmosphere. 5 km to the north you find the town of Aigina, a bustling port with narrow alleys, tempting shopping, seaside tavernas and promenade, small yacht harbour. The bus can take you there but also 5 km south to charming Perdika with bars and tavernas along the seaside.
Aigina town has excellent boat services to Pireus, three boat companies and two dolphin companies cross the bay. Many people commute.
The island is well known for its beauty, its history - the Aphea temple is older than Acropolis - and its mild climate. Mama still cooks in the taverna kitchen and the sons serve, goats still roam the hills and the church bells ring. There are lots of things to discover around the island. Many Athenians love the island and so do we.
The price varies depending on the time of year, the length of the stay and the number of people.

StockholmExcellent vacation in nice house
Left on 01/21/2013 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed in this house for a week last summer. The house was very nice and comfortable and had a great sea view. It had all the amenities you need (and more) for your vacation. There is also a nice swimming pool with an ocean view where you can relax and cool down. The house would have fitted more than our family of three as we only occupied two of the four bedrooms. There were two floors, balconies and a small garden.
There were two nice beaches nearby within walking distance, a grocery store, bars and restaurants. 10 minutes away by taxi was a genuine city and the ferries to athens and other islands. We took drives across the island and also explored other beaches.
We highly recommend this house and this island to others. It's mostly suited to families or maybe some couples travelling together, all ages really.
