We had a lovely stay in the patio casa. The room was lovely and clean, comfortable bed and a little kitchenette for cooking. what we really loved was the patio table in the courtyard where we enjoyed eating out and the all day sun terrace with fab loungers. The beach is a five min walk with some good bars and restaurants. We enjoyed a couple day trips thanks for some of Jane's reccomendations. For a lovely peaceful chilled out week we would definately return and reccomend.

Lovely compact apartment, very comfy king size bed, private patio and roof terrace with sunbeds, table and chairs, it has fabulous views to the sea and mountains.
We decided not to hire a car and went on an excursion to Ronda and Tangier, which Jane helped organise, the rest of the holiday we used the local bus and trains which are excellent and so very Cheap. We also got the train from the airport to Fuengirola and then a taxi to Casa Madden. It is well worth walking a few minutes further to Las Dunas Beach for the wonderful beach bar and very friendly staff, the beach is quieter but not as good for swimming in.
Jane and Derick were always helpful, especially when my husband was taken ill, Jane couldn't have been kinder and certainly made our last few days so relaxing(even shopping and buying English newspapers for Michael each day). We would certainly go back again and will be recommending Casa Madden to friends and family.

Casa Madden is one of 2 apartments attached to the owners house in a beautiful neighbourhood 8k from Marbella. We stayed in the Patio flat.
The bedroom and bathroom facilities were excellent, very roomy with a personal touch. The small kitchen was great for rustling up meals to have on the gorgeous patio for some alfresco dining.
Attached to the patio were some steps that took you up to a lovely tiled roof top with table and chairs. Perfect for sipping vino whilst watching the Ocean (maybe a 100m away).
It was actually up there where I decided to propose to my girlfriend. She said yes!
The owners were super friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. They even found me champagne flutes, a champagne bucket and ice to celebrate on the roof top.
This is a fabulous place for a very good price. It is perfect for couples with a car that want to explore Marbella and the surrounding areas. There is good bus connections but I would recommend a car for Marbella full stop.

The perfect stop for the two of us during our summer break to Spain. The patio apartment is compact and offers everything needed for a short break near the beach. Good size king bed and very comfortable/clean. The owners were very courteous and helpful with recommendations for beaches & restauarants. Check out La Dispensa restauarant in the marina. Charming owner and great (yet pricey) food! Alberts next door also great for steaks. Andy's Beach & bar is great location for chilling out in the sun and took us only 10 mins to walk there from the patio room- you got it all here... go ahead and enjoy!

It`s a beautiful place to stay if you are tired after hard work. We lived here more then one week and would like to stay more...
The room is nice, with a good style and cosy. And a garden is really dream for everybody. You can seat or lie in the summer chair or listen to birds, rustle of wind and look at the sky look after the sun going down.Nobody disturb you and your dreams. You can take long or short trips along the cost and breath with refreshing air from the sea.
it`s convenient to travel with a bus around too and visit new nice places. We are very happy and satisfied with our staying in this "little paradise" and hope we can come back one day.
We say: "thank you" to the nice and helpful people Jane and Derek for our staying at their beautiful place.

Wonderful! An oasis of beauty and tranquility perfect for the ideal holiday.
The accomodation is lovely, beautifully appointed with every comfort you could wish for. The location is amazing ideal for exploring or just relaxing on the beach. And to top it all Jane and Derek are the perfect hosts. Their welcome is second to none,always willing to help you with their extensive knowledge of all things not only local but further afield - invaluable! They manage to make you feel not only a welcome and valued guest but also a friend.

Jane Gould is the perfect hostess, welcoming you whenever you arrive (even after 11PM!). Her apartments are beautifully appointed with everything you could want. The delightful rooftop patio offers a stunning view of the Mediterranean and the lush foliage in the surrounding beach area. Walk along the beach to restaurants; sun on the private patio; relax in this charming setting; drive or bus on into Marbella. Jane gives perfect directions to get to her place and you'll definitely want return.

This was my first stay at Casa Madden and I was more than pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quiet of the Patio Room, the smartness of the newly-added Caribbean-style kitchen, the relaxing and colorful outdoor garden area and its proximity to a wonderful long beach and sand dunes -- which are a stone's throw away. A bit further, about a 5-10 minute walk through the dunes or by road, is Cabopino, a nearby beach resort area with a good selection of seaside restaurants and bars. This was a perfect place for me to get away from it all -- to rest, rejuvenate and sleep well -- and to enjoy daily retreats and walks along the beach and dunes. It is also a good vantage point from which to explore the many great spots and points of interest in this region of southern Spain, of which there are many. Jane is a warm and very hospitable host who was more than ready to assist me in planning excursions and in ensuring that my stay was both comfortable and memorable. I look forward to my next visit!
