Description from the owner
The condo was originally remodeled as an apartment for the owners to use as a guest house. The Inn is finished as a luxury loft type condo with an open joist ceiling. The owner and his wife are artist painters and have decorated the condo with original artwork created by them and art from their personal collection. It is a full function condo with laundry and a full kitchen including dishwasher, ceramic top range and French door refrigerator. It has a one king bed bedroom with one bath. Marceline, MO is located in the Green Hills region of north Missouri half way between St. Joseph, MO and Hannibal, MO. It is just three miles south of Highway 36. Highway 36 has been called The Way of American Genius because of the many talented individuals from the region: Mark Twain from Hannibal, JC Penney from Hamilton and of course Walt Disney whose boyhood home was in Marceline. And don't forget the Pony Express from St. Joseph.
The Missouri Highway 36 Heritage Alliance has its own promotional group and website to promote all of the points of interest along Highway 36. Marceline is located directly in the middle of the Highway 36 region of Missouri and would make a great home base for exploring the area.
The Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline is less than four blocks from the Inn. It features an array of items donated by the Disney family and many artifacts from his visits to his boyhood hometown. On your visit to the museum you will see how Walt designed Disneyland partially from his memories of Marceline.
