I just spend my 10 days in Marco Island with my family and my In Law Parents.
First off, we depart Newark International airport at noon on Oct 28, 2012. right before the Sandy Hurrican slam into NJ.
we got down to Marco Island without any incident and right away, my older son (4 years old) saw the swimming pool and he felt in love. "daddy, come come quickly, there is a swiming pool". after all of those exciting time about swiming pool, he started to located his room. then we settle down.
about the properties, it is very clean when we checked in and the owner was very nice and very informative. he called my wife sereral times during the time we stayed at his property to give us direction on where to go what to do. Basically, the communication between renter and rentee is wide open and completely agreeable on both parties.
I cleaned the house, vacuum and sweept daily for the clealiness. we have to move some of the furnitures and decorations away from my younger son's reaches (14months old).
Tv, Internet, beach towels, etc. is all clean, working order.
The property is in a very nice quiet neighbor which i love and very close to the beach. it is within 5 to 10 mins of working distance to the beach. quicker if take bicycle but we like to walk with our kids.
the beach is great. water so calm and warm to swim. I have great time to see the sun set.
Fishing is also awsome. my son for the firrst time, caught the blow fish, sting ray, red snapper. I caught sea trout, sea bass. we has a blessing time.
I look forward to come back to this property again.
one minus thing is that the property isn't waterfront so no docking. I would love to have a boat there next time i visit.
Two set of keys is better than one set of key. We find this is an annoying and Inconvience for us with large group -

We have stayed here several years and look forward to it now with great anticipation. Location is great in center of island. House had been reapinted and some extra conveniences added from lanai furniture to kitchen utensils.
Dock and decks well used by all kids House comfortable for teens to younger children and two masters was a bonus when we had extended family in.
