Description from the owner
"Carramar" is a wonderful beach house set over two storeys and sleeps seven people comfortably in three bedrooms, with each one facing the ocean. Filtered light dapples through the house from the porthole window that is set above the floating staircase and ocean views can be seen from both storeys across a native and mature rainforest-styled shaded back yard.
On the first floor the fully equipped galley kitchen opens out to a dining room and living room. A good family sized verandah houses another dining table, BBQ and two sofas, which make it an ideal entertaining space. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with TV/DVD and a pri...Read more

Additional Location Information
Marcus Beach is all about relaxing. Everything is focused around the beach and the ocean and if you have children and/or dogs, then playing on the beach with them is a daily occurrence.
There is a small park at the entrance to Marcus Beach, which has community BBQ facilities and is a great place to meet up with other families who are holidaying in the area. There is a large car park and a shower (for both humans and dogs) near the pathway leading to the beach. Water bowls are provided around the park for dogs as are ‘poop’ bags and bins.
There are NO Surf Life Savers at Marcus Beach and the nearest area for ‘Between the Flags’ safe swimming is at Peregian Beach, which is a 5-minute drive south. Marcus Beach is, however, a wonderful beach with a huge expanse of soft sand and views north to Sunshine Beach and south to Point Arkwright and beyond to Mooloolaba.
The ocean’s water temperatures range from a pleasant 19˚C in winter to around 25˚C in summer.
There are no shops at Marcus Beach, which is why it is so handy having Peregian Beach nearby. Here there are plenty of cafés and restaurants to suit all taste buds as well as many shops providing fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and meat for those who prefer to self cater. There are a number of boutiques here too as well as a post office and ATM's for quick banking. And you are certain to pick up a bargain at the local market, held each Sunday fortnight on Kingfisher Drive, just in front of the beach.
Marcus Beach is a superb gateway to other hinterland villages such as Montville and Maleny and the Glass House Mountains Range; and beach resort towns such as Coolum Beach, Castaways Beach, Sunrise Beach, Sunshine Beach, Noosa and of course the fabulous Noosa National Park. If you have never walked around this amazing coastline on the cemented pathway, then you really should try and find the time to do so! Check the local guides as to when is the best time to see dolphins and whales, as they swim past searching for warmer climates.
Golf courses and Spa Wellness Centers are everywhere around the Sunshine Coast and have become a way of life for most residents. For those that fancy being a bit more active there are ample places to hire boats, surf boards, jet skis and fishing equipment and around Noosa you can learn how to surf and sail. Fishing trips can be fully organised and take you out onto the ocean or you can hire a small boat and take yourself out on the Noosa River.
For a good day out with the kids, why not take them to the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve "Crikey" Irwin's famous Australia Zoo and get them involved with some native Australian animals. Here they can feed parakeets and kangaroos and cuddle a koala as well as see the crocodiles up close during the show.
Public buses run up and down the coast road and taxis are readily available too but the best way to discover the Sunshine Coast is to have your own car and get off the beaten track, as there is just so much to discover around this wonderful area of Australia.

BrisbaneA blissful escape from the city.
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My family and I spent a wonderful few days at Carramar enjoying a blissful escape from the city. It's a short dawdle to the beach, which we often felt we had to ourselves, although being dog-friendly we saw plenty of walkers first thing in the morning and coming up to sunset. A bit of a walk got us to the flagged beach at Perigian, and a coffee as reward. The home is very well appointed with every kitchen gadget we needed for self catering, but the options for dining out or taking away were also plentiful.
We just loved going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. Thanks for a lovely long weekend.Response from Cathy S - 10/23/2012

BrisbaneFantastic Experience!
Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I would highly recommend a stay at this lovely home. It comfortably housed seven of us for an extended weekend trip. Just a few minutes walk away from a secluded beach and a short car trip for some shopping in Noosa. The house itself is delightful and the owners have thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need.I fully intend to rebook :)

BrisbaneSensational!
Left on 08/26/2012 for a stay in August 2012
A wonderful, comfy home away from home with only the sound of the sea and the birds to disturb the tranquility. Lovely rooms, plenty of space to stretch out and all mod cons such as bar b q and bar fridge are supplied. The beach is a two minute walk away (you can hear the surf from the verandah) and Peregian shops are close by. This is the perfect holiday house in a perfect location.

BrisbaneFantastic, relaxing and the dogs love it
Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in March 2012
I have stayed in this delightful house a few times now. It is beautifully appointed, spacious and very comfortable. Downstairs is 2 bedrooms (one queen and one with 2 singles), a bathroom, laundry, and storage area and a large deck. They even thought to put a bar fridge down there. Upstairs is a double bedroom with ensuite & private deck, open plan lounge kitchen and dining and another deck (perfect for an evening drink). The house is 5 minutes walk from beautiful Marcus Beach, which is a dog off leash beach as well. As a dog lover, an added bonus is my dogs can stay at this house with me and have a fully fenced yard and cover under the house and the deck. And they are even allowed inside as long as they don't jump on the furniture. I highly recommend this house for a relaxing comfortable holiday or weekend away.
