Perth, AustraliaPerfect bush family retreat close to Margaret River
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This is a two dwelling property close to town and very close to three well known wineries. The houses, which sleep eight and six respectively, are close, but just far enough apart for reasonable noise not to carry from one to the other. The two families with the younger children stayed in one house and us "oldies" with the older kids in the other. The kids ranging in age from 15 down to a baby had an absolute ball. There is a trampoline, assorted climbing equipment and even a pool table available to guests. The properties are well maintained and very clean. Everything is provided. All we had to take was food and drinks. We really enjoyed the few days we were able to spend at Bella Retreat and are planning to make this an annual event.

SingaporeLovely House
Left on 12/19/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We arrived late into Margaret River and the accomodation office has closed. The owner had left the code to the safe box to retrieve the keys in an earlier email. I was shocked to see that the safe was empty when I opened it & then seeing through the window, an envelop with my name sitting on the desk in the office. I regretted not making a call earlier to inform my late arrival. Luckily when I call the emergency number given to me in the same email, my call was answered & the same person arrived within minutes to retrieve the keys from the office for me.
Our group decided to have our dinner first in town & by the time we arrived at the house, it was already dark. It was kind off scary for us city dweller but luckily I have a torchlight. We managed to find the light switches & to the main door. Once inside & lights on, the house gave us a warm pleasant welcome. It was beautifully decorated & spacious.
There are 2 bathrooms in the house, one on each end of the house; one near to the 3 bedrooms & the second beyond the kitchen, more like in a laundry room. There's a big window at the laundry room with no curtains. Thus only the brave males in our group were daring enough to take their shower at the laundry room. The warm water for the shower was also difficult to control. Maybe when both showers were used, the hot water drain out very fast & left with cold water half way through the showers. The next day we took note to only use one shower at any one time & we didn't have the problem of running out of hot water.
Other than that, we all slept well in the comfortable beds & the kids loved the trampoline. The living area is spacious enough for us to sit around for an evening chat. There's also a lovely outdoor dining area with beautiful flowers surrounding. It is conveniently located off the main road but not disturbed by the traffic. -

We have stayed twice at Bella Retreat over the past two years and we absolutely love this spot. The house is a short drive from a main road and is surrounded by gorgeous grounds and lots of lush greenery. Our children are aged 9 and 10 and they both enjoyed exploring these grounds and playing on the trampoline and tire swing. There is also a covered dining area outside where we had most of our meals. Inside the house there are 4 bedrooms and a lovely dining area with an open plan living area. The kitchen is unusually well supplied for a vacation rental and you will have no problem preparing a complex meal if you get tired of the BBQ. There are toys and games for the children and everything was spotlessly clean on arrival. I would highly recommend this property for families or for other small groups who would enjoy being tucked away in a secluded and peaceful holiday house.

"Dear Belinda, Thank you so much for our fantastic stay at Bella Retreat. We brought down our friends from the UK to Margaret River to show them the wonderful wineries, beaches and bush Wa has to offer. We all loved it (3 adults and 4 kids from 1-6 years). The house was perfect for two families, the kids loved exploring on the bush paths and 'spotting kangaroos' and the adults enjoyed the wine on the alfresco. We will be back for sure!! PerthWhat a find!
Left on 11/11/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We were pleasantly suprised to find this hidden gem that felt like a million miles away from every where but was actually only 5 minutes from town. The property was stunning with plenty of natural bushland and the house was cosy and comfortable and very well equiped. But the best thing was the kids play equipment. The meandering paths in the garden was the settings for some wonderful creative games and the climbing equipment and swings etc kept the kids occupied for hours. Even our teenagers had fun on the huge trampoline! Thanks Belinda.

Our family of six (4xboys) had a truely wonderful experience staying at Bella. All of my boys, aged between 10 & 13, were so enthralled with the bush land the kangaroos, playground and the fantastic fire pit that not once did they even pick up their electronic games. Each boy slept soundly in the comfy beds after spending the day running around and exploring. My husband and I spent our time walking through the beautiful gardens and just having quite time to chat and enjoy a glass of wine in the peacefull surounds while the boys played endlessley. We had made plans to go to the caves and see some wineries but the boys insisted on just staying at the house and cooking sausages over the fire at night time for their tea. I can honestly say that there is nothing I would change about my stay at Bella except that I wish them more rain to fill their tanks. We are planning on comming back as soon as possible, it feels like our home too now.

Bella Retreat was perfect for our family vacation to Margaret River. The house was large and comfortable and there were lovely indoor and outdoor dining areas. The children loved exploring outside and particularly enjoyed the trampoline and tire swing--they even saw a kangaroo. The gardens were gorgeous and lush. The kitchen was large and well equipped and the living room had a great selection of games and dvds. The location is also very good and within a short drive to many wineries, breweries and other attractions. We hope to stay again soon!

PerthCompletely relaxing; a wonderful break
Left on 08/15/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We stayed at Bella Retreat with our 3 children and dog. The house has everything you could need. It was wet and rainy for most of our stay, but we were able to enjoy the wintry days as the house was cosy and warm. Reading books next to the wood fire stove was just lovely. Plenty of family board games for us to play.
Good dog walking close by. Wonderful grounds for the kids to play in. Washer and dryer for all our wet clothes. Huge bathroom and big deep bath.
Sure Bella Retreat would be as wonderful in summer, with its pretty veranda and outdoor settings.

Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We stayed at Bella Retreat with a group of friends. We found the house to be fantastic in all that it has to offer. We had all the luxuries of home plus the added fun of having a camp fire every night while toasting marshmellows. We felt like we were in our own little world even tho we were only 6kms out of the town (Eagle Boys even delivered pizza to us!).
We recommoned Bella Retreat to everyone heading to Margaret River and it is definitley our place of choice. -

Left on 04/30/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Bella Retreat, taking some well-deserved time out from a hectic working life. We originally planned on staying two nights but ended up luckily managing to score an extra third night, as we just didn't want to leave! At Bella Retreat we felt so secluded amongst the beautiful natural bushland, yet we were only minutes drive away from the beach, wineries and Margaret River township. With the gourmet kitchen, lush green gardens, beautiful big bath and the wood fire, the worries of the world melted away. We were able to totally unwind and forget the stress of the outside world for a magical 3 days. The house was beautifully presented and we were very well-catered for- we couldn't think of anything else we would have needed.
Lovely, courteous and welcoming service from the property owner, often a rarity these days, was also appreciated!
Thank you and we will definitely return the next time we venture to the beautiful South West! -

Secret Harbour. W.A.sophisticated tranquil experience
Left on 04/22/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The house was lovely, preety, practical, uncluttered.
Kitchen a dream, I used every appliance from the baking dishes, toasted sandwich maker to the lovely square white crockery.
Great idea to put the spare shower in the laundry where the kids can wash from the beach, instead of tramping the sand through the house!
The outside area made the holiday. We dined outside every day in the tranquil alfresco.
Location perfect for the wineries and wonderful Redgate beach, as the boys love the surf, this area was perfectly situated.
In all a wonderful home to stay. -

We absolutely loved our stay there-such a wonderful holiday for our family- magical gardens, peace and quite in this 14 acre bush retreat..we have two boys, 8 & 10 who loved the enclosed trampoline and the large wooden climbing frames. The house had everything we needed and such great rustic style! When we had to drag ourselves away to do shopping etc,it was only a 5 min drive to the centre of Margaret river town. We would most definitely stay there again and next time we will bringing another family to experience this fabulous haven!
