Ultimate escape in St Lucia
We, my boyfriend and I, spent 5 relaxing nights in Villa Pomme D'Amour in april 2013. We stayed in the apartment on the first floor of the villa next to the main house with ocean views, and were very pleased.
Josee and Pierre were very accommodating and friendly. We asked many questions about St. Lucia and activities one can do. Josee has a wealth of information not only on Marigot Bay but the entire island. She sat us down and explained, over a map of St. Lucia, what we can do where, where good food can be found, etc. She went out of her way to arrange activities for us from dinner reservations to booking a guide.
Excellent spot nestled in the lush greenery on the side of a hill with gorgeous views of the sea. Villa is surrounded by lovely garden with flower and fruit trees. Services
Villa is a self catering place and breakfast, lunch and dinner can be had in the on your own private large deck. If you would like to venture out and enjoy a nice evening, there are few places just in the village of Marigot Bay - Rainforest Hideaway and Doolittles just to name a few. The village also has a small convenient store where you can pick up essentials and a baguette store. You can enjoy drink either on your patio or by a great pool with ocean view. They provide beach chairs and beach towels as well.
On the day of our arrival, Pierre greeted us at the airport and gave us our little private tour of the island with a stop for a refreshing beer (Piton) on our way to Marigot Bay. He also stopped in the supermarket for us. Josee welcomed us welcomed us with a pitcher of rum punch and stocked out fridge with breakfast essentials (eggs, milk, butter, cereal, beer (thumbs up) and fruit from the lovely garden).
Our apartment was located on the first floor of the villa next to the main house. It was a two bedroom with living room w/full size kitchen and bathroom with shower. The apartment was tastefully decorated and is kept in good condition.
Perfect Honeymoon Villa
We visited the Villa Pomme D'Amour on our honeymoon week in april 2013. The villa is a little piece of paradise right by Marigot Bay on the West side of the island. Our room had two bedrooms, a living room, a balconey, and a full kitchen. It was perfect!
Josee and Pierre are St Lucia's perfect hosts: friendly, generous, and helpful. Pierre picked us up at the airport and gave us our first tour of the island on our drive home, where Josee greeted us with the best rum punch of our entire stay and a snack of delicious bruschetta. Our room was the top story of the villa, but all the rooms have a charming view of the little bay, neighboring hills, and (of course!) the swimming pool. Josee met us on our first morning us with maps, route recommendations, and tips for the best restaurants, meals, beaches, etc. She even arranged our car rental! The villa is clean, beautifully appointed, and very welcoming--previous guests have left an assortment of useful items such as bug spray and kitchen spices in the rooms as well, which is very useful, and of course if you need anything during your stay, Josee and Pierre will help you find it.
Our trip would not have been nearly as effortless or enjoyable without Josee and Pierre's help--they took all the legwork out of our vacation, leaving us free to simply enjoy being honeymooners in the Caribbean. They're incredibly friendly and give the ultimate in personalized service. We enjoyed getting to know them and hearing their stories as well--something you can't really do if you stay at a huge resort!
We can't recommend the Villa Pomme D'Amour enough. If you are considering a vacation or a honeymoon in St. Lucia, look no further. You won't regret it!
Wonderful retreat in St. Lucia
Everything about our stay at Villa Pomme D'Amour met or exceeded our expectations. We were met at the airport by Pierre, a wonderfully personal touch that allowed us to relax and enjoy the drive across the island as he described the sites along the way. When we arrived at the villa, Josee greeted us with rum punch (delicious, make sure to ask for the recipe!) and bruschetta out on the balcony overlooking the beautiful little cove that is just a short walk down the hill. We immediately felt right at home! The villa was exactly as we had imagined. The inviting balcony is surrounded by lush greenery and has an outdoor dining table, comfortable chairs, and a charcoal grill. Louvered doors across the front open out onto the balcony and give the villa a very airy feeling, like you are in a tree-top retreat. There is no air-conditioning, but we didn't miss it with all the fans and breezes with the windows open. We loved listening to the wildlife at night with the waves breaking in the background. There is wifi access that is good for checking email or checking out a website but nothing streaming. The fridge was stocked with plenty of food for several breakfasts, and Pierre drove us down to Marigot Bay our first night for dinner before we had our rental car. They really go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable! Josee provided us with a detailed map on our first morning and described various places of interest and landmarks along the way. You will definitely want a car to be able to visit some of the other beautiful areas on the island (including Pigeon Island and the Pitons), but be prepared for some intense and hilly driving! Josee made excellent recommendations for our excursions and took care of the reservations for whatever we wanted to do. We felt like we had our own personal concierge the entire visit. Josee and Pierre's hospitality was the icing on the cake of this wonderful anniversary trip. This place is a gem!

Warm , friendly and relaxing atmosphere.
Service was great from initial contact, planning, then arrival and duration of stay, Josee & Pierre made us feel welcomed. Certainly a bonus to get picked up from the airport so no driving required the 1st day. The home/ unit was very nice had all the amenities we needed, was clean and the gardens, pool and close quiet cove for a swim and snorkel added to the experience. Josee & Pierre were extremely helpful and friendly. Location worked for us as it was approximate center of Island to access the many activities by vehicle and felt secure as well. We were able to function well on our own after a bit of assistance from Josee. Loved the breakfast foods supplied for 1st day or 2 and rum punch. Best thing was the help in planning our activities, least was not enought time to do more.
The New Forest
Comfort with beauty.
We stayed for two weeks in Villa PommeD'Amour and those two weeks were beyond our expectations. The highest priority on our holiday was to get away from the miserable British winter that we were experiencing at home,we achieved this in bucketfulls. The climate was fantastic(and that includes the warm rain),the snorkelling breathtaking, the Island was beautiful, the St Lucians were welcoming, but most importantly the Villa and our hosts were superb.
Tripadvisor has run out of superlatives for Josee and Pierre, they are warm, kind, considerate and hard working. They make one feel so relaxed from the minute you arrive at Villa Pomme D'Amour.
Although the Villa is split into several apartments it obviously has evolved in the design that no-one is overlooking each other. The rooms are kept cool mainly by their very open shutters and doors, this and the fans eleviates the need for air conditioning. The style is almost colonial with fun parrots! The setting in the valley and the lovely garden makes one think that you are living in 'the bush'. Mosquitos did make their mark until we became really thorough in setting up the mosquito net at night. The shower was always hot and the bathroom altogether was adequate even though the door is a little bit flimsy.Needless to say if there were any prooblems with the accomodation(or anything else for that matter) Josee would be there for you and problem solved.
Our car hire was arranged for us by Josee. We recommend hiring a 4x4 as we were able to visit the NE coast of the island where the tracks become a bit rough to say the least.Eating out was expensive,so having the Villa's kitchen(and barbeque) was very useful.
Unfortunately the the sea in the pretty cove below the Villa for most of our stay was seeing the effects of an atlantic swell so was a bit rough and not that clear for snorkelling.
We gained a great experience in St Lucia, best of all we gained two friends; you come and see us Josee and Pierre for sure.
Amazing villa, hosts and location!
My fiancé and I just returned from a week in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. Villa Pomme D'Amour was the perfect choice.
The airport pick up by Pierre was a lifesaver after the long trip. We stopped at the grocery and found everything we needed for our week. Upon arrival at the one bedroom villa (we had one night there and the remainder in the 1st floor two bedroom villa), we were greeted by Josee and her amaaazing rum punch and bruschetta.
The next day we met with Josee to plan our week. This was a real benefit to us as it was our first time in St. Lucia. Josee had the hook up for everything and her recommendations were all spot on. The rental car she set up was reasonable and a very easy process.
The open air design of the villa's was fabulous. Our maid service was superb and the kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the things we needed to cook every meal there if we choose to. Josee stocked the fridge with essentials many of which lasted all week. She also treated us to a lovely bottle of champagne since we were celebrating which was so thoughtful!
The pool was sparkling clean and the perfect size. The private cove below (as mentioned in other reviews) requires water shoes. Also, bring comfortable shoes for the walk to town. The beach across from the marina was perfect for sunning and swimming.
It is a wonderful place for a sporty and relaxing getaway. On top of being respectful, professional, warm, accommodating and friendly, Josee and Pierre are two of the coolest people we have met throughout our travels. Thank you for everything!
Happy in St Lucia
We cannot say enough good things about St Lucia, Villa Pomme D'Amour, but most importantly--Josee and Pierre. They are the "perfect" hosts. They are willing to help---no matter what you might need.
We loved exploring the island by day, but returning to the villa/apt for a late afternoon swim and watching the sunset, was extremely relaxing. The villa was well equipped for a comfortable stay. The property was well groomed and cleaned by friendly staff. Also, just a short walk down the hill was a beautiful bay to enjoy snorkeling and lounging. The beaches around the island were amazing and the people of St Lucia were delightful.
The best compliment we could pay our wonderful hosts was to to book our 2014 vacation with them as well, we can't wait to return!
The only way to visit St.Lucia
Imagine waking from a restful sleep, opening the two sets of double villa doors to a view that is breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice. The sounds, the scents, the humidity. A lush mountain valley overlooking the blue Caribbean Sea The smell of coffee brewing as you lean on the railing and watch the finches and humming birds in the gardens, sailboats on the sea, waves lapping the beach in the secluded bay below you
How can a day be anything but perfect starting this way?
Josee and Pierre are professional hosts.
Believe everything you have read about this amazing French Canadian couple. They are very well connected on the island. There is no doubt they will point you in the right direction every time, as they did for us.
We have been to many 5 star resorts all around the Caribbean and none compare to the personal service we received at Villa Pomme D'amour. It is easy to tell it is not just a job for Josee and Pierre. It is their life. They truly care about their guests well being and enjoyment.
The Villa was very well appointed and very private. Beach towels, a well-equipped kitchen, great wifi, and very comfortable beds. The grounds are incredibly well kept. Flowers and blossoms are never ending and seem to envelop the entire Villa. It is beautiful.
The pool, deck, and loungers are all very cared for and in great shape. There was even floaters for the pool which we used every day.
Within walking distance is Marigot Bay. Fantastic restaurants, beautiful views, and a great spot to see the mega yachts of the rich and famous.
With a rental car it is a short easy drive to the locals grocery store and fruit stands.
All beaches are public and the resorts will let you use their chairs and cabanas for a very reasonable fee. Our favorite was Ti Kaye which has great snorkeling a great beach bar and restaurant.
Now imagine returning from a long hot day on a beautiful volcanic beach. The pool is warm, the Piton beer is cold, and the sun is setting in the west
Great place and hosts!
We (3 adults) recently stayed at the Villa. It was wonderful.Pierre picked us up at the airport, which was nice after a long flight from Canada. Josee had prepared appetizers and rum punch for us! They had stocked the kitchen with basics for breakfast, which was appreciated the next morning. They were very helpful and gave up tips on where to visit and eat. They even arranged our car rental. All in all, a great stay at a beautiful location. We plan to return some day.
Wonderful villa, amazing hosts!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Villa Pomme D'Amour for 7 nights over the New Year holiday. We loved it so much, that we are already planning to return next year.
Josee and Pierre are amazing hosts. From the very first emails when we were exploring lodging options, until the end of our vacation, Josee and Pierre were available, attentive, and warm hosts.
Pierre picked us up at the airport. During the hour long drive to the villa, he served as a very knowledgeable tour guide, pointing out areas of interest, and filling us in on the local culture. When we arrived to the villa, our car (which they had arranged for us) was waiting for us, and Josee greeted us with her delicious rum punch. Josee had made dinner reservations in the village for us and another couple who had also just arrived. We had a great time with other couple, and ended up sightseeing and hanging out together throughout the week. The couple hosted a steak dinner night, which we had in Josee and Pierre's apartment. Great fun, great conversation. On New Year's eve, Josee made reservations at a local restaurant for everyone staying at the Villa. Best New Year's Eve I've had so far!
Staying at the Villa Pomme D'Amour felt like home. It is perfect if you don't like the sterile atmosphere of all-inclusives, want to be able to experience the local culture, and feel safe. Pierre and Josee have an open-door policy (literally). If you have any questions, needs, or you just want to chat and have a drink with them, you can go to their apartment, and will be welcomed in warmly. They never make you feel like you're intruding or being bothersome. Although they are very attentive and accessible, we never felt as though they were being intrusive at all. They are very good at being accessible, but also giving you your privacy.
We loved staying here! There is so much to say--the beautiful apartment, the private beach, the lovely pool, the grocery store nearby, the hosts! Loved, loved, loved it!
We just returned from a 1 week stay at Josee and Pierre's wonderful villa home. There really isn't alot that I can add that sooo many others before me have raved and talked about here. What a wonderful Christmas week we had. It was everything and more than we expected. Super easy car rental with andrew, shopping at the IGa, driving on the "wrong" side of the road, snorkeling, having Sunday brunch at Dasheen restuarant with the views of the Pitons, Latille Falls. Zip Lining, and just hanging out at the pool and cove...All are just priceless. Love and Miss you already Josee and Pierre. Thanks for everything!
This is the place
Like many other people we came across Villa Pomme d'Amour through this, and several other glowing web site reviews. Having the luxury of an airport pick-up from Pierre is a plus. No first-day worries or concerns with the added bonus of a great conversation while Pierre navigates the island back to the Villa. From this point on, we knew we had made the right choice. The Villa itself is set up on a ridge overlooking a breathtaking cove that is accessible by a short walk. It is evident that Pierre and Josee put a lot of thought into the planning and building of a fantastic villa. All three rooms have their own private balcony and well-equipped kitchenette. We made our breakfast each morning and enjoyed the view. The same view became our own private Caribbean sunset as we enjoyed our dinners. Be sure to visit the market in Castries to get fresh veggies, fruits, herbs & spices.
The pool is perfect and an excellent place to relax at the beginning or end of the day.
This was our first visit to St. Lucia and we were not disappointed. The island is very lush and mountainous. You will definitely need a vehicle
Highlights: A boat trip down to Soufriere with Lance & Yatta that included several stops for snorkeling and a great roti lunch. A visit to Tet Paul Nature Trail for an easy 45 min. hike up to a great vantage point south of the pitons. Lunch at Ladera: great food & an even better view. Sitting under the Latille falls near Micoud is a must. Marigot Bay for strolling the marina, eating and a little shopping: Dinner at Chateau Mygo on the first night, a casual dinner at Hurricane Hole and just hanging out in the café. Rainforest Hideaway for an elegant romantic dinner on the bay.
This place is perfect if you want a relaxing holiday in which you set the pace and if you want to eat in or out. Special thanks to Josee & Pierre for their suggestions and vast knowledge of the island and their special brand of hospitality and kindness. You're the best! We will be back!!
Unique and ethnic
Josee and Pierre were excpetionally welcoming, generous and informed and worked hard to make sure we had a holiday of a lifetime. They were available when requested but unobtrusive owners who allowed us the space to enjoy their wonderful home. We loved exploring throughout the island during the 2 weeks of our holiday and the views, scuba diving and gardens surrounding the villa is superb. Note: air conditioning is not present in these villas and so it can get very hot indeed! The villa was immaculate and I cannot think how our hosts could have made us any more welcome. Thank you Josee and Pierre !

Magnificent truly describes our experience as a guest at Villa Pomme D'Amour in St. Lucia. The Villa owners and hosts Josee and Pierre deserve every 5 star they receive and more! We were:greeted at the airport by Pierre, brought to Villa Pomme D'Amour, welcomed by Josee, were given a brief tour of the Villa then Josee served up a great rum punch along with a platter of bruchetta.Josee and Pierre made themselves available for travel advice for the Island, booked diner reservations and guides for us, provided transportation until our rental car arrived, offered a phone service to Canada provided wireless internet and laundry and stocked our fridge with goods for breakfast for the first few days! Josee and Pierre were never intrusive and we always felt comfortable seeking their advice and/or help. Our 2 bedroom villa was quiet, spacious and comfortable with an exquisite view of the secluded bay and mountain foliage. The unit was cleaned and sheets changed every 3 days. The Villa is in the Beautiful Marigot Bay area with easy access to all areas of the Island and sea kayaks in Marigot Bay.We negotiated the rental of a double kayak & Hobie over our 2.5 wk stay and we were able to throw our snorkel gear on the kayak and head out for trips up the coast at whim. Josee set us up with fabulous guides. Yatta & Lance were great fun & guided us on a day of snorkeling getting us to the most beautiful areas to snorkel and sightsee by boat.A local fisherman Roy,took us out to sea in the middle of the night for an unforgettable 'jigging' and spearfishing experience. Thanks to Josee and Pierre's suggestions, we were able to experience the Island as a local would. We enjoyed 'fishfry' evenings at 2 villages,a tour of a cocoa plantation and rum distillery along with dinners out at several wonderful restaurants. The Castries market provided us with local spices & produce so we enjoyed many delicious dinners at 'home' while relaxing & looking out to sea. Thanks J & P...kind and generous souls!

Very nice quiet villa stay
The villa itself was very very nice and open, and the hosts were more than accomodating. The location is great for Marigot Bay, but if you are looking to do more beach/mountain trekking/snorkeling then there are better areas to stay (Soufriere). We are a couple and stayed for 4 nights after spending 4 nights in Rodney Bay which was perfect. Pool is wonderful, and there is a private beach only a couple minute walk through some woods. Better snorkeling is by Soufriere which is about 45 minute drive. We also did a boat tour for the day direct from Marigot which took us to 3 of the best snorkeling spots on the island. (Josse recommended) If you just want to stay around Marigot Bay and villa area then this place would be perfect. More of a drive if you want to explore the island. If you want to rent a car or get any suggestions on what to do, Josse and Pierre will tell you everything you need to know.
No Better Way to Experience St Lucia
My husand and I selected St Lucia for our Honeymoon I wanted Ladera, he anse Chastenet but the price was a deterrant and sent us perusing rentals. I spotted Villa Pomme D amour but the reviews seemed too good to be true, I must admit going in I was skeptical of all of the 5*** reviews on this site, my hubby had to sell me. After our first night and a couple of bowls of crow I realized Josee and Pierre deserve every star. They were pleasant, helpful, super sweet and not at all intrusive. We had an issue with luggage and customs. Pierre was kind enough to lend us his clothing so it really wasn't missed. They were great hosts and made sure we got back to airport to clear customs and retrieve our luggage. Pierre also took us to get groceries, he was informative...funny and a pleasure to be around. As promised Josee had rum punch and captivating warmth to go with it. She was a wealth of information as well as instrumental in our not getting lost on the island. Our vehicle was arranged as promised and I will say there is no other way to explore this relatively small island. My husband was my hero and navigated the island on the wrong side of the road and car with the greatest of ease. From the Villa we drove to Soufriere, Castries, Dennery and Rodney Bay for part two of our honeymoon Sandals (wah wah).
Josee and Pierre as guides to point us in the right direction.
The room was right balance of nature and civilization we loved having a fourth wall.
The patio doors open for a 3 wall experience if and when desired.
Our view... Tip request top suite facing bay.
Cooking and eating when desired (much appreciated since arriving to resort)
Natural lullabies courtesy of tree frogs..finches and the hundreds of other rainforest creatures. Hubby is a light sleeper and slept like a log.
The hidden beach cove..its a 5 minute hike down from Villa.. bring a picnic basket.
Overall: Paradise for us honeymooners and well deserving of all of the 5 star reviews!!!

A great location and superb hosts
The Villa Pomme d'amour is in a truly spectacular setting. Built into the hillside in a lush green valley the apartment we stayed in had the most fantastic view. Every evening we saw the sun go down over the Caribbean Sea which was a real treat. The apartment itself was beautiful and provided everything that we need including a blender for cocktails.
Josee and Pierre were the perfect hosts. Pierre collected us from the airport and Josee provided us with a stocked fridge for our first couple of breakfasts. She gave us great tips about where to go and what to see on the island and that ensure we got much more from our stay.
The garden is beautiful and attracts many birds. In fact the birds like to share your breakfast with you - be aware don't turn your back on your plate for too long!
Marigot Bay is a charming part of the island but what is even more charming is the small private bay just down from the villa. It is a great place to snorkel from. The restaurants are a bit of a walk down from the house -10 minutes down 15 back- you may wish to hire a car if you want to visit other parts of the island. However Josee can arrange this for you as well at a very competetive rate. Car dropped off at the house and then collected at the airport. On our first night Pierre very kindly drove us down to the restaurant and collected us when we had finished.
A truly unforgettable stay.
One footnote is that if you are a light sleeper take some earplugs as the insects across the island are very loud - I personally find the sound very soothing but not everyone is the same.
Nothing was too much trouble
I'm sorry to say I'm writing this from home, means my holiday is finished and what a holiday it was. Josee and Pierre were absolutely wonderful hosts. Pierre picking us up at the airport and giving us an informative journey back to the villa, Josee waiting with a delightful rum punch, ooh, I could get hooked! The villa was everything I hoped for with a stunning view over the gardens (with lovely wee hummingbirds), pool and into the bay. Josee is a mine of information on the island, where to go, places to eat. Nothing seems to be a problem organising trips or car hire.
We've had a great couple of weeks snorkelling in the bay, out diving, boat trips, visiting the botanical gardens and making an almost daily trip down for fabulous icecream in the village.
A car is probably quite useful for getting around, it's a very hilly island.
We did have a bit of rain, heavy at times, but it is a rainforest. The tiny frogs seemed to sing all night, just adding to the atmosphere. I do recommend mosquito sprays, they seemed particularly hungry around us, but there are nets and sprays in the villa.
Anyone looking for somewhere special to holiday would be extremely hard pushed to find a holiday where they could match the hospitality and welcome we got from Pierre and Josee at the Pomme D'Amour - I miss it already
A wonderful location with wonderful hosts!!
Pomme D'Amour is intimate, friendly and relaxed. The hosts Josee & Pierre are organised, incredibly warm and welcoming - and knowledgeable about all local attractions. Although our villa was one of 3 (plus owners) it still managed to feel private and secluded. Sitting on the deck, we could see the ocean and the pool and happily pass the morning sipping coffee and feeding the small birds toast. The bed was very comfortable, the shower roomy and all the necessary kitchen amenities to eat at home. Marigot Bay is great - a hideaway from the day cruisers who land further North, but still enough glamour watching the huge yachts dock at the yacht club to keep us entertained. A great base for snorkelling/ diving and kayaking too. Would love to go back.

Most Enjoyable Stay and Most Wonderful Hosts
On our second trip to Marigot Bay we were looking for a more private type of accomadations instead of the typical resort setting.Villa Pomme D'Amour turned out to be the perfect fit. From the booking experience to our good byes with our wonderful hosts our stay was most enjoyable. Josee and Pierre really are the most professional Inn Keepers I have ever met.The Villa is well equiped and the fridge stocked for a day or twos worth of breakfast items, water, cold beer and wonderful fresh fruit. It was nice to have a kitchen you could actually use for cooking a meal. Josee took time to help us make decisions about our 9 day stay that would have taken us days to figure out. From a car rental to where to eat, what to see and everything in between Josee had and ansewers for every question. Pierre gave us tips about driving, parking and what not to do while exploring this beautiful Island. We were never dissapointed with any of their recomendations. They are well known on the Island and well respected among the locals.Even though we had many days of rain we managed to stay so busy and still did all of the things we had planned. The grounds aound the Villas are maicured like a botanical garden it is very apparent that they love their home and the business they run together. Hoping to bring our whole family back someday to fill the Villas.

Heaven on earth in Marigot Bay!
From the moment we first contacted Josee about her property, she took excellent care of us. The Villa Pomme d'Amour was our home away from home. Pierre picked us up at the airport and brought us to our cozy, clean and well-appointed villa. Josee greeted us with a wonderful rhum punch and a well-stocked fridge to keep us going until we got to the grocery store. Always available to answer our questions and telling us about what was happening on the island (Jazz Festival) our hosts were wonderful. Our boat tour with Captain Carlos and his first mate were a definite hi-lite of our trip as was dining at the Chateau Mago. Hope to go back again some day!
The best hosts in the Caribbean!
We loved our stay at Villa Pomme. Pierre and Josee are awesome, from picking us up the airport, to greating us with cold rum punches, to Josee' s excellent advice on island exploration. The apartments all have a beautiful view of the cove. They are well designed and comfortable. Highly recommended
This was one of the best holidays we've had, and Villa Pomme D'Amour contributed a lot to that. The location was perfect, secluded in which you feel special and really "got away" for a holiday, but easily accessible to everything in Marigot Bay, it beats all the other commercial resorts. We stayed in the unit upstairs where we had a good view of the alcove, and the place was cozy and clean. Pierre and Josee were so attentive to our every need, they checked with us our daily plan (in the most non-intrusive way), so they could give us pointers and tips of where to go and what to do. The villa (and our unit) is so relaxing and low-key, we actually prefer to hang out there in the evenings - bbq-ing on the balcony and watching the sunset. And Josee's rum punch (which everyone gets to have on the arrival) is to die for.

more than just a regular rental
Villa Pomme d'Amour is not only a great place to stay but the hosts are just awesome...with all of our needs and questions...and for some reason, you just end up feeling so relax. Well located,we were able to see all of what we wanted to see and do... the only thing we regret...is leaving!
We recently stayed at Villa Pomme D'Amour and enjoyed every moment! From the picturesque scenery to the beautiful villa and everything in between, we could not talk more about how great this place is!
Josee and Pierre are fantastic hosts and we thank them for all of their help during our stay. When we arrived, we were picked up by Pierre and taken back to the villa where we were greeted with some homemade rum punch and snacks. The next morning we met with Josee to go over the map of the island and discuss what adventures we were interested in. I highly recommend renting a car because the island is fairly easy to navigate around and you can see so much at your own leisure! And with a little help from Josee, you can see so much.
By the end of our trip, we really didn't want to leave and we hope that one day we will return to St. Lucia and Villa Pomme D'Amour.
If you're looking for a tropical getaway where you can come and go at your own pace, this is the place for you!
Thanks again Josee and Pierre, we truly appreciate your help in making our vacation one that we will never forget.
Julia, Adriana and Kianah! :)

The best little vacation in a long time!
Getting away & getting taken care of. Well. That's what we got at the wonderful Villa Pomme D'Amour. A lovely secluded spot with open air views and tropical design accents. My husband, 2 grown children and I had a very special week cooking when we wanted, getting excellent tips on touring from Josee & Pierre and just plain relaxing and feeling welcomed, cared for, and getting just the right amount of attention. A lovely pool, an excellent location to set out on an island adventure from.
Villa Pomme D'Amour = paradise!
Josee & Pierre are the best hosts ever! Pierre picked us up from the airport and gave us information about the island during the trip. Josee helped us plan all of the activities during our stay. She even set us up with a rental car at a great rate. I recommend taking the private boat trip with Carlos. The Villa is perfect. A 10 minute walk brings you to a secluded cove. We are going to be visiting here again for sure!
a beautiful hideaway
we have just returned from 10 days at villa pomme d'amour.
Pierre picked us up at the airport and gave us a wonderful and informative trip to the villa which was immaculate, equipped with everything you will need and more...with Josee waiting with a fabulous jug of rum punch and a stocked fridge.
The gardens are beautiful with hummingbirds, tree frogs, lizards and butterflies as well as your little antillean bullfinch friends who will want to breakfast with you daily!
Josee is amazingly helpful guiding you to the best places in st lucia, arranging car hire and any other needs to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
We cannot fault the service they provide in their little piece of paradise. We will go back.
Amazing location and amazing hosts
We came to Saint Lucia for our wedding and stayed at Villa Pomme d'Amour for a pre-wedding honey moon.
Everything was wonderful.
It started with Pierre picking us up at the airport and giving us details during the drive back to the villa, on Island life and all the things we could do.
When we arrived at the villa, it was like arriving in Paradise. The flowers, the view, the swimming pool, the punch that Josée had prepared for us, all was so wonderful.
The fridge was full with different type of breakfast food, much more than we could expect to eat in one sitting.
Josée had organized our car rental for the next day at the villa so it was hassle free. We didn't realize at the time because it just seemed normal, but the following week, my father in law rented another car and even though everything got sorted out, it was not as smooth as when Josée had organized it.
Josée sat down with us on our first morning and gave us a wealth of information on the island. This information was very valuable to make the best of our time on the island.
Josée and Pierre also helped us organize our wedding even though it was not going to happen at their villa.
I figured I wanted a simple wedding and didn't need all the frills and expenses of a wedding planner. Josée put me in touch with a lawyer's office and a marriage commissioner. Pierre helped us find a dry-cleaner and a lady to do some last minute alterations.
The villa is secluded and yet very close to Castrie. The location is perfect to go to the farmers market every day or to drive South without going through the heavy traffic found North of Castrie.
The villa is on the hill, a 4 minutes walk away from a secluded bay. The beach there is public, but we never saw anyone there.
Thanks to Josée and Pierre we got to see things and meet people that we would never have been able to see and meet if we had stayed at a resort.
We highly recommend Villa Pomme d'Amour.
Just the most beautiful, relaxing, flexible get-away vacation.
Clean, comfortable condo with private gardens, secluded beach, beautiful view. Owners Pierre and Josee were wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating. Incredible hospitality. Warm and friendly people with an incredible life story. Highly recommended vacation condo where you can explore the island at your leisure, while enjoying the immediate surroundings of tropical gardens, private swimming pool, or walk down to the cozy secluded beach.
Our 2 weeks at Villa Pomme D'Amour was simply wonderful...
Our 2 weeks at Villa Pomme D'Amour was simply wonderful. From the time we were met at the airport by Pierre, to our sad farewell after 2 weeks, we couldn't have been made more welcome by Josee and Pierre, the perfect hosts. Always available to help us and offer advice, but never intrusive. All the things they said to do on the Island - Climb the Pitons (even with our 7 and 9 year olds), Volcano visit, boat trip with Carlos, etc, were all great, and Josee seemed to love spending the time to tell about their home and the Island so we could make the best of our time in St Lucia. I'm often cynical of the descriptions of such villas, but this exceeded all expectations. The view, the scenery, the atmosphere, the sounds at night (the tree frogs and cicadas were amazing, and the children loved trying to catch and spot the tree frogs at night) were everything you would expect from St Lucia, and much more. The Villa was great - well equipped, great view, cleaned regularly and fantastic swimming Pool. Having spent 2 weeks visiting other places on the Island, it is easy to say the Marigot bay is the most beautiful and picturesque bay and place on the Island. Our kids loved the food at Doolittles, Hurricane Hole and the Ice Creams at the Harbour, which were all a short drive down - or walk - from the villa. Getting a boat across the bay to Doolittles for the beach or dinner was fun for us all.
Whether you are family with kids, or a couple looking for a getaway, you must visit Villa Pomme D'Amour. You'll not regret it.

10 days in Paradise, we didn't want to leave!
Josee & Pierre, are superb hosts, helpful and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. This was apparent from the moment we were met by Pierre at the airport. Our St Lucia experience began immediately - buying fresh watermelon on the side of the road and stopping for our first Piton beer in a roadside bar with a wonderful view! - Josee's rum punch and bruscetta were waiting for us.
Our apartment up in the treetops was well appointed and had fabulous views. The swimming pool was perfect for relaxing and cooling down. Breakfast on our balcony was a perfect start to every day (Josee had filled the fridge for our first morning). A car is essential, which Josee also arranges, for exploring this wonderful island from this idylic base. There is a good choice of restaurants in Marigot Bay (c.1km from the apartment), but it is also nice to eat in after a day exploring. The supermarket is fun in the evenings, with music playing and dancing in the aisles!
... a boat trip with Carlos, zip wiring through the rain forest, riding horses in the sea, visting the volcano, snorkelling, relaxing on the beach, sampling local food ...
What we liked best ... everything ... least - having to leave!
Thank you Josee and Pierre, we'd love to come back one day!

Perfect honeymoon getaway
We wanted to leave a review for this little jewel where we were fortunate to stay for our 1 week honeymoon in June. Some quick highlights of the experience at "Villa Pomme":
The beautiful, secluded villa with a nice pool and private beach
Excellent hosts to help guide your trip
Shuttle to Villa Pomme on arrival to reduce the stress of navigating until you are a bit familiarized with the island
all of this exceeded our expectations, but we wanted to highlight a few of the features that really made our trip what we wanted it. We were looking for something more personal than a "Sandals" trip and that's exactly what we got We did not want a luxury resort with an all-inclusive meal plan, etc. We chose to have a bit more adventure and wanted to enjoy a little more of the St. Lucian culture. This villa is tucked away near Marigot Bay, a marina town with shopping, restaurants, and a resort of its own. In the villa you are within walking distance up a rather windy hill and enjoy the privacy and beauty of the secluded views from your private patio!
A rental car (which they arrange for you) is a must to get around the island and explore all of the beautiful sites. It was nice having Josee and Pierre to set up our little excursions and make recommendations, but to still have the autonomy and adventure of going out on our own...the perfect balance. We were able to shop in the local stores and markets during the day and cook in. The villa is very well-stocked, even more than we expected. They even had charcoal, and lighter fluid provided. If you prefer eating out, there are several little restaurants and bars right on the bay that you can go to or you can venture out to the various towns. We recommend visiting Hotel Chocolat for dinner on a cocoa plantation where every menu item contains chocolate in some form!
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a unique trip with a little adventure in lovely St. Lucia, you should look no further.
The best place to stay in St Lucia?
My wife and I recently returned from our honeymoon in St Lucia. Not only would we say that we found one of the best places in the world to vist (St Lucia itself), but we would also conclude that we definately found the best place on the island to stay!!
We arrived in the afternoon and enjoyed a hassle-free collection from the airport from Pierre, including a stop for refreshments (a Piton and rum punch) at a beautiful spot on the atlantic side of the island. Upon arrival at Villa Pomme, we were greeted by Josee with a fabulous jug of punch and lovely bruschetta (just the trick as I hadn't eaten on the plane!).
Our stay only got better. The fridge was well stocked for a couple of days breakfast and Josee came up to our balcony every morning after breakfast to aid us in our exploration of the beautiful island...we really wouldn't have had the time we did without her help and advice. A few must dos: snorkel at anse Chastanet; have a day on the water with Carlos; eat at Ladera when visiting the Pitons in Soufriere and go Whale and Dolphin watching with Captain Mike...all of which Josee will happily help you organize, lending to a very relaxing, yet eventful honeymoon.
Josee and Pierre were the most wonderful hosts anyone could ask for. Nothing was too much trouble; from recommendations for lunch and activities to phoning ahead to places, organizing whale and dolphin watching, even lending snorkeling equipment for most of our stay!
St Lucia speaks for itself and is well worth a visit. What I would say however, is that if you are travelling to the beautiful island and fancy staying somewhere self catered, I challenge anyone to find a better place to stay than Villa Pomme D'amour!
Enjoy! We certainly did :-)
An absolute gem!
We found this because of the great reviews on here and we weren't disappointed. The property is beautifully constructed and maintained to a high standard with everything you need for a relaxing, self catering trip. The pool was beautiful and the little bay at the bottom of the garden a nice place for a dip.
The real attraction is Josee and Piere, we genuinely felt we were staying with friends and their input on what to see and do was invaluable.
The area is also great, Marigot Bay is very pretty with a nice little beach. You could just stay there for the whole trip and you woudn't be dissapointed. But rent a car and see the volcano, mud baths, Hotel Chocolat, Castries markets, and all the other good stuff the island has to offer!
Don't bother looking at other places, this is the one.
My husband and I were looking for a serene, tropical paradise and found it at Vila Pomme D'Amour. Josee and her husband were awesome!! Their villa is Beautiful with the Best rum punch. Its the perfect retreat in the heart of nature. Yet convenient to shops and great restaurants. If you want to rest from the hustle & bustle of life, enjoying the life and love of St. Lucia, this is it!!
Delightful stay in stunning location
Our visit to St Lucia was all the more fantastic for our stay at the Villa Pomme D'Amour. Hosts Josee and Pierre were so welcoming and helpful in every instance, from the airport collection, to advising on day trips and site seeing to flora and fauna... The accomoadtion and location were both stunning and exceeded our expectations. A lovely stay, and would recommend to anyone (and i hope to go back one day :)
Beautiful villa and great hosts!
From the moment we arrived in St lucia, we knew we were in good hands: Pierre picked us up from the airport and gave us a great introduction to St Lucia during our drive to the villa; Josee welcomed us with appetizers and rum punch and our fridge was stocked with food for several breakfasts.
Each day, Josee reviewed the map with us and recommended places to visit. Her suggestions were fantastic. Josee and Pierre arranged for our rental car to be delivered to the villa, and they made all the arrangements for our day trips. We took a water taxi ride with Carlos and had a fantastic time - you must see the island by water.
Villa Pomme D'Amour is in the beautiful mountainside of Marigot Bay, overlooking a sheltered private cove which is great for snorkelling. I wish I took other readers' recommendations to bring water shoes, however, because it is a bit rocky. Even if you don't leave the villa, you will be surrounded by a lush landscape. If you are prone to bug bites, I would recommend some repellent and after bite.
The villa itself was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. The patio doors open up completely for fresh air and sunlight. My boyfriend is not someone who likes very hot weather, but even he found it very comfortable without air conditioning because of the trade winds and fans.
One of our favourite places to eat was the Dasheene Restaurant at the Ladera resort (suggested by Josee) - great food and an absolutely outstanding view of the Pitons. Our other favourite place to eat was the little blue beach shack on vigie beach - great food at a very affordable price. Be sure to go to this hut around 6pm for fresh Roast Bakes!
It was an absolute pleasure staying at Villa Pomme D'Amour. Josee and Pierre were fantastic hosts and were available anytime we needed them. They will treat you like old friends and do their best to make sure you have a great time in beautiful St. Lucia.

Beyond Picturesque and Relaxing
From the time Pierre picked us up and delivered us to the Pomme D'Amour it was pure relaxation and beauty. The villas are located on the mountainside that overlooks a beautiful cove. You have the feeling that you're in a secluded treehouse with birds visiting your balcony and you're surrounding by amazing flora. Our 2 room villa was very clean and comforting and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We were able to cook dinner or walk down the road to one of the restaurants overlooking Marigot Bay. The walk down to the bay is about 10 minutes and it has plenty of activities to try. Being a guest at the Pomme D'Amour allows you access to the private beach and discounts on water activities. I would highly recommend this to honeymooners looking for a lot of privacy and serenity. The pool is great for a swim in the afternoon and to just relax and read a book. Josee and Pierre are available anytime for suggestions, questions and even a ride to town for groceries!
The only thing I would warn against is an ant problem in the kitchen area and staying here requires one to be able to walk up and down a lot of stairs and walk back and forth to Marigot Bay. Other than that its a true gem that I'm so glad we found.
Gorgeous villa with amazing hosts
I stayed here with my parents for a week this spring and we loved the place. The villa is beautiful and well kept, the veranda and its view were perfect at all times of the day. Josee and Pierre are the perfect hosts, welcoming and informative and very kind. It's a perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the magnificent ocean view. The only suggestion I would make is that it might not be suited well to people with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs and the bathroom was not senior-friendly. I would stay here again myself in a heartbeat and I am already scheming to get back to St. Lucia...
Villa Pomme d' Amour is a beautiful, quiet property and the owners -- Pieree and Josee -- are very accomodating and helpful. If you're looking to stay in the Marigot Bay area, I highly recommend Villa Pomme d' Amour.

We can't wait to go back!
A friend of mine enthusiastically recommended the Villa Pomme D'Amour so we booked with high expectations. We were not disappointed. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful without being obtrusive. If we needed something or a suggestion, they had. We quickly learned that their recommendations were excellent. We went to the best beaches, great restaurants, fun hikes and avoided tourist traps. I normally spend days planning a trip. I left it in the hands of our hosts and saved myself a lot of time and effort. The Villa itself is charming. We loved eating breakfast every morning on the porch overlooking our own private bay. (The bay had the best snorkeling on the island). The rooms and the kitchen had everything we needed and some unexpected treats - like rum punch in the fridge waiting for us upon arrival. My only hesitation in giving a glowing report is the fear that the Villa will become too booked for our return visit next year. This place is a real gem. Laura & Paul

25th anniversary Second Honeymoon in Paradise
We spent two weeks at Villa Pomme D'Amour, a very professionally operated vacation home, with many added touches to make us feel well cared for and to help us make the most of our time on the most beautiful Caribbean Island.
The warm and friendly owners, Pierre and Josee, are on site and go the extra mile, providing detailed assistance with itineraries for activities, tours, restaurants, tailored to our interests. The Villa is in a prime location with a secluded beach with excellent snorkeling and a perfect view of the sunsets. From our veranda, we watched a pod of whales during breakfast one morning and a turtle surfaced next to us while kayaking in front of our cove.
The location is perfect for day trips to Rodney Bay (Reduit Beach and Pigeon Island), Castries (market, restaurants, Viji Beach), Port Dauphin (ancient Petroglyphs, remnants of early 18th century buildings), rainforest hiking at Barre de L'Isle, Anse Chastenet (beaches, snorkeling, biking/hiking trails), Soufriere with it's sulfur springs, botanical gardens and drive-in volcano, Gros Piton Hiking Trail and the beach at Vieux Fort.
This island and it's people are amazing and staying at Villa Pomme D'Amour while renting a vehicle is truly the best way to experience this piece of paradise.
One of our best vacations ever
Not only was St. Lucia the best vacation we ever had because the country is so beautiful, untouched, generally speaking, and the weather was fantastic, but it wouldn't have been the same had we stayed somewhere else. Josee and Pierre are the best hosts we've ever stayed with in our over 25 years of traveling. Upon arrival, we were greeted with some delish rum punch and bruschetta which was perfect because we were weary travelers. We chatted for a bit and then they left us to make ourselves comfortable. They had some provisions for us in the refrigerator which was a god-send for breakfast. The next morning, Josee gave us all the information we needed to find our way around, and immediately sized us up as the kind of tourists we are and what we may like to see.
The Villas are well stocked, the beds comfortable, lovely sheets and after one day, it was home. It is perched on a hill that overlooks a private cove only a 4 minute walk to get to for snorkeling and swimming. You can also walk into town (Marigot Harbor) in about 10 minutes, a good healthy climb down and up again, to visit the great little shops and terrific restaurants. After a day of hiking, exploring or snorkeling, it was wonderful to come back to our villa, take a swim, and then go back into Marigot for a dinner.
Unfortunately, our beautiful vacation came to an end but we will return back to the Villa Pomme D'Amour as soon as we can. We highly recommend these guest Villas. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Peaceful and relaxing
We enjoyed our time at the villa. Most of the time we were the only ones there! The villa was very clean and welcoming! Josee and Pierre were very friendly, helpful and made us feel like family! The grounds were beautiful, just what you would expect a tropical getaway to look like!
Our only concern was the road to get there from the town was very rough! Very slow driving!
A delight of calm and charm in the best part of St Lucia
What a lovely place and lovely hosts. Josee and Pierre were welcoming from the start and full of local knowledge of where to go. Pierre picked us up from the airport amd Josee welcomed us with a jug of rum punch and home made bruschetta delicious.
There are just four apartments ours was a two bedroom (both large) with a comfortable living area and very large terrace overlooking the bay, the gardens and the pool.
We were worried brfore we got there that there was no air con but it was absolutely not an issue, the sea breeze and the ceiling fans keeping the bedrooms surprisingly cool at night.
Sitting on the balcony every morning and evening watching the humming birds and the spectacular sunsets was always a reaxing pleasure before going out to eat (you can of course eat in if you wish)
Marigot Bay has a number of restaurants all of which we went to and would recommend Chateau Mygo (caribbean)
Juliettas (local caribean) and for a special night The Rainforrest Hideaway which you can only get to by boat and is said to be the top place on the island.
Places to visit are the walk in volcano (very interesting with good guides) ,Anst Chastanet (snorkelling and lunch) Jaluzi Plantation (snorkelling and lunch) and many more which Josee will tell you about.
You definitely need a car and I would recommend a small 4x4 as the roads are in some places a bit rough and the hill up to the apartment is quite steep and uneven also. We had a car which was fine but a 4x4 would have been better.
We had a great time and even having seen the very top hotels on the island would not have swapped out apartment at Pomme d'amour for anything. Highly recommended.
Best Vacation We've ever Had!!!
Honestly, I know the feeling, more reviews and impossible choices to make over where to stay with really no idea of what your getting yourself in to. Let me tell you though, Villa Pomme D'Amour is one of the best values on the entire island! We were on our honeymoon and it couldn't have been a, more romantic, and picturesque place to stay! Really, I read all the reviews and did the research before going and feel so blessed to have found this Villa for our honeymoon. Josse and Pierre are probably one of the biggest reasons why this is such a great place to stay! You can really tell they love what they do and they have put alot of care and love in to every aspect of this Villa. I would say if you are looking for a new, kind of rustic but chic place to stay with excellent customer service you can't go wrong staying here. I hope your vacation is as good as ours was and if you are searching through these reviews looking for that right place you have just found it...don't look any further, book now!!!

Wonderful friendly service
Our experiences in St. Lucia were memorable due to the outstanding services of Josee and Pierre. Josee provided assistance and made reservations for our activities, as well as recommendations. Their warmth and friendliness were not duplicated in other establishments in other islands we visited.

A fantastic, calm and beautiful place to stay
We stayed at Villa Pomme d'Amour for four nights at the end of December and absolutely loved it. Josee and Pierre are fantastic and extremely helpful. Thanks to them we got to see some really beautiful places in St Lucia. Josee also helped us with flight reservations and everything we might need during our stay. The appartment where we stayed was really nice, with a well equipped kitchen and even a barbeque on the terrasse. It is a very peaceful place to stay and we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an experience far from the crowded resorts.
We spent 2 weeks in St Lucia. Our first week we stayed in the Soufriere area and where we stayed was unique but very "rough". So coming to Villa Pomme D'Amour to was like coming to paradise. Pierre will pick you up at the airport or in our case take you back to the airport. Everything was so clean (Josee even irons the sheets!) and fresh. Beautiful flowers, a refrigerator with the makings for at least 2 breakfast, the most wonderful rum punch and even a couple of Pitons. As if that wasn't enough Josee and Pierre came to say hello armed with some very tasty bruschetta. We stayed in the 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor. In our opinion we had the best view and that view was spectacular. It has a very large balcony that looks down on the little snorkeling bay and the large swimming pool. The sunsets were beautiful. We had a car for part of the time but I think our favorite times were the few days we just hung out at villa. The place was spotless and had absolutely everything thing you need and more.
As wonderful as all that, one of the best reason to stay here is the owners, Josee and Pierre. They are so gracious and caring and it just shines from them. They obviously love what they are doing and treat all the villas as their home. They even put up some new artwork in ours while we were there. They really just want to make sure you have the best vacation possible. Will answer any question, give you wonderful advice (our three best meals came from places they suggested...Ladera Sunday Brunch, Coal Pot and The Rainforest) and Pierre even gave us rides down to the bay a few times. I really felt how much they cared about their guest when I fell and hurt my wrist (not at their place) and had to go to the hospital. Josee told us which hospital to go to and even called them to ask some questions for us. She then checked on me everyday to see how my wrist was doing. So kind. Words cant express how they made our trip even the better by just their warm hospitality
A Special Place to Stay in St. Lucia
Villa Pomme D'Amour will always carry a special place in our hearts...and we hope to visit again! Beautiful. Peaceful. A place to restore and refresh. Josee and Pierre are absolutely wonderful hosts. They have a full range of insider tips on where to go and what to do and will happily arrange everything for you. We felt like good friends by the time we left. What a very special place! Highly recommended for those who want more than your cookie cutter all-inclusive experience. Loved it. You will too.
Villa:Totally relaxing with nature. Island:Adventure with nature
Perfect Hostess providing personal guidance with exploring the island, reviewing maps, making dinner recommendations and reservations, jeep rental, boat tour. She takes care of it all. Arrival day, her punch was delicious, as well as her appetizers. Private boat tour with Carlos was magnificant, he also snorkels with you to make sure you are OK, then takes you to Souffrier Village, have to buy lunch from locals and take back on boat and eat on beach. Josee's loads fridge for 1 breakfast, but more like 2-3. Pierre takes you food shopping next day. I suggest you hang around villa for first few days, cook on grill, eat outside, do Carlos boat trip and then rent your jeep. Laderra Resturant is a must, in between Pitons. Pigeon Island was also a great day. Very very private vacation, but Josee and Pierre were always available to enhance your stay.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay in St. Lucia
We were overwhelmingly pleased with our stay at Villa Pomme d'Amour. Every aspect - location, service, comfort, and value - were top-notch. Our accommodation was ideally located in the stunning Marigot Bay area, and conveniently positioned between Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island to the north and Soufriere and the Pitons to the south, making an easy, scenic drive for us either way. Our hosts, Josee and Pierre, went far beyond the expected in making us and their other guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Villa Pomme d'Amour is in a quiet, secluded setting just a few minutes walk from Marigot Bay, where we had several great restaurant choices. Our villa was quite comfortable, very clean, and designed with wonderful tropical touches. The three wide, louvered, double doors opened to a spacious balcony from which we enjoyed views of the well-cared-for garden, inviting pool, lush hillside, and small private inlet to which we could easily walk. Morning rainbows and spectacular sunsets framed our days. Villa Pomme d'Amour would be ideal for an individual, couple, or family wanting to enjoy a home away from home in St. Lucia amid lovely surroundings, at excellent value for the money, and with experienced, warm and engaging hosts.
Home away from Home
My husband and I stayed at Villa Pomme D'Amour for 3 weeks in December 2010 and I have to say that our experience was consistent with all of the other positive reviews. Since we were staying in St.Lucia for an extended period of time it was important for us to have a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that would feel like a home away from home. We were not disappointed.
Josee and Pierre were welcoming and receptive hosts and the villa, garden and pool we're lovely and well maintained. Pierre picked us up from the airport and his warm smile and friendly manner was an immediate indication that we had made the right choice. Josee would pop by on a daily basis to ensure all of our questions regarding restaurants, activities and shopping we're being addressed, it was like having your own personal tour director!
We spent many days and nights on the balcony reading, playing cards, watching the sunset and being entertained by the the birds who were always on alert for free food. We rented a car (which Josee arranged for us) and we did several day trips to the north and south ends of the island. Probably one of our favourite trips was to La Derra for Sunday brunch, the view was spectacular, the food was excellent. On the same day we stopped at Fond Doux (the coacao plantation) they didn't have tours running but we stayed for a drink, I ordered a chocolate cherry rum "something? which was beyond delicious.
We left St.Lucia having achieved our objective - totally relaxed and refreshed and ready to tackle our busy life at home once again.
Thank you Josee and Pierre for all of your hospitality while we were at the Villa, you helped to make our experience one to remember.

Beautiful People and a beautiful place
We stayed in Pomme D'Amour four one week week and were treated like best friends. The villa is in a quiet location with a wonderful tropical garden and a great view over the bay.
Marigot Bay with restaurants and shops is within 10 minutes walking distance
Josse and Piere gave us all support we needed.
Beautiful Property with Wonderfully Hospitable Hosts
Josee and Pierre do an excellent job of running Villa Pomme D'amour and make you feel very welcome - including a stocked fridge (full of everything you need to make breakfast) and snacks when you arrive to helping / advising on what to do on the island and how to get there (ask about their friends car so you don't have to worry about renting from the airport). The rooms are more spacious than they appear in the pictures.

It's really paradise
We enjoyed ( two couples) very much staying in Paradise Villa Pomme d'Amour. The accomodation is very good, the service from kindly Josee and Pierre is better. We had a very good 11 days. I cann't tell anything I didn't like. Even the weather ( we leaved just before Thomas) was nice. We made good trips and is was a pleasure to sit in the evening on our balcony. Really it's Paradise, only adam wears throusers...
Phenomenal trip, phenomenal place
We recently spent a week in Marigot Bay, staying at Villa Pomme D'Amour. Talk about a wonderful week! It is as great a place to stay as I can imagine. The apartments are beautiful - spacious, artful, clean and comfortable. Very nice kitchen with food and drink awaiting you when you arrive. Josee's rum punch, by the way, was just what the doctor ordered when we first got there. We had a jeep for the week, so we were able to do all sorts of exploring around the island. Josee and Pierre gave us excellent advice for where to go and what to do. Josee also made all sorts of reservations for us. We definately suggest going out in the boat for a day with Carlos and Paul. That was a blast.
You will love Villa Pomme D'Amour, no doubt about it. It's such a great place. You can walk 2 minutes down to the cove and swim. There's a little cliff that you can jump off of into the water. We also really enjoyed the tree frogs that sometimes hung out on our porch. We give the strongest of recommendations that you stay here,

Great Place...Needed more time
Josee and Pierre were wonderful host and a pleasure to deal with on our trip to St. Lucia. The afternoon we arrived, they met us with the most wonderful Rum punch and snacks and welcomed us to the island. The villa was clean, well decorated, and was very much like what was in the description online plus more. They had our villa stocked with food and drinks to allow us time to adventure out and find what we needed. They sat down with us the next morning and went over maps of the island and marked great places to eat, shop, things to do, and places we needed to see. As the week went by, Josee would book adventures for us like zip lining and a private day long boat ride. We felt safe on the island, the people were very friendly and would help you anytime you had a need. We would talk to other travelers and they would ask, "How to you know about so many things on the island? Our answer was alway, Josee and Pierre told us. They were great host and now we consider them our friends also. Look forward to going back one day. We didn't have enough time to do all we wanted in a week so we extended it to 10 days and still left the island with a list of things to do.
