beautiful gardens and view of the bay exceptional. the villas need an update especially the kitchen area. the shower room is very small and awkward. good idea to read the very small print about the accommodation location as although it does say in some part of the notes it was a bit of a shock to find out about the need for the ferry service as the only way in and out of the place. given the idea is supposed to be self catering the local supermarket and shops are very limited. on sight agent needs a bit more local knowledge she sent us to a place that was closed at the weekend.

After having toured around the island, Marigot Bay was the most beautiful location. We did not visit Gros Inlet to the north, however. The view from our spacious balcony was amazing. We had several dining options around the bay area and most accessible either by the water taxi or free pick up by some off bay restaurants. St. Lucia is not inexpensive, but we did find some reasonable eateries. We also had a very well stocked kitchenette in our tri-level unit. No television, no phone, no problem. They will send a shopping list from which to select from if you would like some groceries in your unit upon arrival. We did this and were very pleased since the only grocery in the Bay can be a little expensive. We did not rent a vehicle and did not regret the decision. We took tours and a water taxi (extremely reasonable) to Castries for additional groceries. Enjoy!

34342Marigot Bay Vacation Villas - paradise found
Left on 05/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is truly a slice of heaven. We rented a two story detached villa on the side of the Bay with the beach. The villas was clean and wonderful. We opted for a/c in the bedroom, which made the villa very quiet and private at night.
In the morning, we opened all of the shuttered doors upstairs which is a large studio type apartment. The breeze was wonderful but it was only surpassed by the views of the beautiful Marigot Bay. We watched as people prepared to go sailing for the day, bought fresh fruit from the very lively locals and enjoyed the amazing blues of the water.
The staff was extremely friendly, answering any and all questions. They arranged private water taxis for us, a day of sailing to the Pitons, snokelling adventures, a trip to Fort Rodney in the Northend, a taxi to pick us up at midnight from the airport and one to drive us to the bottom of the island to fly home. We enjoyed Doolittles at the base of the property to play pool and watch a little american basketball on the satelite tv.
But, by far, the best part of the Vacation Club Villas is the relaxed atmosphere and the sunsets from the waterside deck every evening.
I can't say enough about this amazing property. You will love it! -

Our vacation goals were to unplug from electronic/media outlets and enjoy the beautiful setting of St. Lucia, the wonderful humidity and quiet time. We do not desire nor look for loud nightlife, clubs, etc. and Oasis Marigot absolutely met our needs. We appreciated the staff helpfulness and the accessibility to wonderful restaurants and excursions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to St. Lucia. The staff at The Oasis Marigot are extremely helpful and friendly. From the very informative orientation on your first day, which helped us figure out water taxis, car rental and what to do when on the Island to the sharing of local knowledge. Marigot Bay has got to be one of the most beautiful Bays in the world and the Oasis Marigot one of the most affordable places in paradise.

nycNice place if you get the right house
Left on 05/19/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Marigot Bay is probably one of the best spots on the island. Oasis Marigot offered cute houses that overlook the bay. The view was amazing.
The particular house that I stayed in was next to a pump house (that pumped water up the mountain to the facilities. It was terribly noisy when it kicked on. On the first night, there was a leak in someones toilet so the pump would kick on every 15 minutes or so. The leak was fixed by the next afternoon but even with that the pump had to do its job intermittently through the night. (I wish I remembered what unit number that was.) That unit was also the one house that had a stock room underneath it so in the morning when I was trying to make up lost sleep the workers' talking woke me up.
Despite this, the house was adorable and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen from blenders to electrical adapters. The helpful and accommodating staff was awesome!Response from Jacques Binette - 05/20/2010
Owner
Thank you very much for sharing your comments. We know that you have been very happy following your vacation at the Vacation Club based on the comments sheet you completed at the resort. It is unfortunate that a water pump has caused you the inconvenience described here. I am glad to report to you that the defaulted pump was replaced and that no other guests will be bothered by this noise. For your information, we do not pump the water from down the hill but rather from a water tank under the house. The new pump works perfectly and it is no longer noisy and guests can enjoy peaceful Caribbean nights. There is now a small pressure reservoir that prevents the system from working intermittently.
Please know that we take care of reading each comment sheet in order to correct any situation or reported problems. By being proactive, we make sure that our guests can enjoy a great vacation. Again, we thank you for your input and we hope to see you again.
Sincerely,
Jacques Binette, Managing Director
