I am a novice in manipulating a computer and although that, after joining the owner , he helped me to make our visit a dream , advising us on the best way to get there ( airplanes , car rental etc...) Someone was waiting for us at the airport and drove us to the villa , simple but absolutely perfect and clean , very well located with all amenities one may wait for ! A rented car is a must ( there is a space reserved for it ) to get everyday to a different beach , all beautiful and yet , each one with their specific charm . Roads have fantastic points of view and people are very kind . Go , go quickly !!!

Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaA very pleasant stay at ah Le Bonheur
Left on 02/16/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We stayed at ah Le Bonheur from February 2nd to 9th, 2013 and enjoyed every minute of it. It was great to be greeted at the harbour by the property managers, Karine and her husband, and to have our rental car brought right to the harbour for us. They also drove us to the rental property in our car and pointed out a few island highlights along the way.
From the minute we walked in to ah Le Bonheur, it felt like home away from home - very welcoming, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and all the amenities of home. It is spacious: the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans; the sitting are with a day bed was a comfortable spot to curl up after a day on the beach; and the eating area in front of the window offerred a nice view of the hills.
The property was very clean and the ladies who came in to clean each day were very pleasant and courteous.
Snorkelling at Marigot Bay was nice, although we didn't spend a whole day there as the beach was very narrow and not conducive to sitting on. There are many gorgeous beaches on the island and travel from the property was pretty straightforward. There were beach chairs and a cooler to use as well at the property.
The owners have been awesome to deal with - all negotiations were very straightforward and they provided ideas as to car rental, restaurants, beaches, etc. Very trustworthy and committed to ensuring we had a good experience at their property.
All in all, a wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives! -

Sydney, AustraliaA little slice of paradise... Perfect for our honeymoon!
Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Our stay was just perfect - from start to finish! Guy - the owner - is so easy to work with, even for us all the way over in australia organising our last-minute honeymoon! For starters, he recommended a car rental place that came to pick us up at the airport (and dropped us back at the end of our stay), together with the property manager and her husband, who took us to the place and were just so lovely!! They spent a good hour or two telling us the best places to eat (and which places were better for either breakfast, lunch or dinner), to go out at night, to shop etc. We took up most of their suggestions, and not a single place was bad, they were all excellent!!
In terms of the rental property, it's located in Marigot, and is spacious for a vacation rental and split across 2 levels (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas - the bigger living area downstairs featuring a flatscreen TV) and has a fully equipped kitchen (complete with stove, oven and a spice rack that even Jamie Oliver wouldn't sneeze at!) The rooms were all super neat and tidy, and there is the cutest little courtyard and BBQ outside which is nice for the evenings!
It is roughly a 15-20 minute drive to Gustavia (the town centre), and along the way you pass through a few hubs including St Jean (which has a few nice boutiques). The property is located right along the main road which laps the island (although it's set quite far back from the road, so no traffic noise!) which is really handy - you can just jump straight in your car and be on your way around the coast!
There are also nice ocean glimpses of the bay from the downstairs windows, and a magnificent view of the bay from the smaller upstairs window.
I highly recommend this place for a holiday or romantic getaway - I will definitely be in touch with Guy if we return to St Barth's!!! Thank you for everything, and you really have absolute gems with Karine and Yan looking after your property and clients!!! -

Jersey CityGreat house to stay in St. Barts
Left on 01/21/2013 for a stay in January 2013
I would recommend "Ah Le Bonheur" to my friends as an excellent place to stay in St. Barts for:
- Its comfort (spacious master bedroom and living room, nice furniture and appliances, and cleaning service 6 times per week)
- Its location: close to many beaches, very quiet place in the evenings, walking distance to Marigot Beach, and you even have a partial view of the ocean
- Very good value - it is reasonably priced while some accommodation in St. Barths can be unreasonably expensive
Other information I think is helpful for visitors to know in advance:
- At least during the week we were there, the sea in the beach 50 yards from the house (Marigot) was always too high with no sand space to sit on it, so we never stayed there. This wasn't an issue as we had a car and other beaches were very close by, but if you want to always walk to the beach you might need to walk to larger beaches near by. (But no matter where you stay in St Barths you should rent a car to enjoy the island)
- This is an island with insects so, even though the house is kept very clean and products are used to kill insects, you might find some insects in the house. We found a few dead and one dying cockroach, which were cleaned the following day and did not bother us as we realize there is no way to completely eliminate them in this type of tropical location. However if you are terrified of roaches, you should have that in mind (but I guess the same would be true for other houses or hotels in the island).

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in February 2012
ThIs is a wonderful property, very well kept and I would call it a home away from home! We stayed here during 9 nights, starting on Feb 25th.
Bedroom: Super comfortable, silent, super clean, excellent air conditioner. Excellent linens.
Bathroom: excellent with everything you could possibly need (hair dryer, cotton balls, nail polish remover, band aid, ...)
Kitchen: excellent, open concept, dozens of glasses, utensils, pans, etc. We had pleasure cooking there not only because the kitchen is beautiful and fresh but also because the many cabinets were fully stocked with every utensil you could possibly need.
Outside: Excellent big and new gas BBQ. We grilled fresh Mahi Mahi there (that we bought directly from the fishermen!)
Living room: beautiful, cable , flat tv, confortable
Wi-fi throughout the house
Beach chairs, beach towels , etc
Daily maid (not on Sundays but everyone has to rest!)
Parking
access: You just have to cross the street to be at the beach
We were picked up by the administrator (a lovely lady) who also gave us some tips about supermarket, etc
This is a real / honest place to stay! I had a terrible experience last year in France (Uzes, Provence, I wrote a review about it on Tripadvisor Forum about Uzes) and I was afraid to rent a property again, instead of staying in a hotel. After staying in this lovely property in St Barths I can tell you that in fact there are honest people renting their properties and the owner of this house is one of them!
Since the first contact when I sent an email asking about prices, availability, etc everything was smooth. Me and my husband loved the island, loved the house and loved each second there!
I have been to most of the Caribbean Islands and in my opinion St Barths is the best of all.
We will be back to St Barths and for sure we will rent ah Le Bonheur again!
Ps: there is a question on the form here about security deposit return. I answered n/a because we weren't charged for a security deposit in advance. Meaning: honest owner leading with honest guests! -

Left on 03/27/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We had an excellent staying at this property. Kitchen has all utensils you might need, there is also a gas barbecue outside (where we prepared delicious Mahi Mahi).
You just have to cross the street to be at the beach.
Wi-Fi was perfect, as cable tv and excellent air conditioner.
There is a parking place (you need a car to take advantage of all excellent beaches of St Barths).
The house is super clean and there's a daily maid as well.
Karine (the administrator) is super friendly and professional.
We highly recommend this place if you want a pleasure staying!
We will be back! We loved each moment at this great island as well as this lovely house!

New JerseyLovely and peaceful
Left on 11/18/2011 for a stay in July 2007
My wife and I stayed here for 10 days during our honeymoon. It was the perfect island home - relaxing, plenty of ocean breezes, comfortable, clean and quiet. I brought my ocean kayak with me and simply crossed the street, assembled it on the beach of the Bay and shoved off for a few hours while my wife relaxed in the sun. A bakery with fresh croissants in the morning was a two minute drive away. The fully furnished kitchen was nice when we felt like preparing lunch at home during the hottest hours of the day. A grill and entertaining area in the back is convenient for inviting friends over in the evening. I don't think I have ever been as relaxed and as peaceful as I was at this wonderful spot on St Barths...I highly recommend it and hope to return!

LondonA lovely holiday on a beautiful Island
Left on 10/03/2011 for a stay in July 2010
This is truely a world class experience.
My family and I really enjoyed our time there. We made full use of the house and the local attractions. Once you have hired a car the Island beaches are but a short hop away.
The house itself is clean, comfortable and has all the elements you need to enjoy a holiday.
We definetly would go back again and would recommend it -

Left on 05/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Ah Le bonheur was a absolutely remarkable villa in St. Barth's. We were not your typical St. Barth's vacationers and were able to stay here and enjoy all the island has to offer for a possible price. Were desperate to go back when we get a chance and will definitely stay at ah Le Bonheur. Beautiful villa, accommodating owners/managers, beautiful view and beach very close. Everything you need in a wonderful vacation.

Le Bonheur definitely describes how we all felt after two weeks staying in this appartment.
It is a really good size and with extended family it was easy to both be together and have space to do our own thing.
The location is perfect to get all over the island and it suited us to be somewhere quiet in the evenings and spend the days out and about in St Barths.
For a treat we visited the Guanahani for dinner and spent the day spa ing there, it is literally a five minute walk from Le Bonheur.
We could also walk to the kite surfing beach at Grand Cul de Sac where we could have tasty, more basic lunches at a fraction of the cost of some of the hotels and beach bars.
The maid came daily to clean up and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed for when we didn't feel like going out.
For us staying at Le Bonheur was a better (and cheaper!) option than the hotels where we feel a bit too boistrous for some the very refined visitors that are in St Barths over Christmas.
We have rebooked already, which says it all!
